Is there such a thing as a second chance at happiness?
Sarah is afraid to love again out of fear she will subjugate who she really is to please a man. Aedan can’t look at a volunteer search and rescue dog handler without remembering the bullet that ripped through both his canine partner and his own body. Manny wants to start over, away from his life in organized crime. Jasmine wants a life away from the insecurity she experienced as a Las Vegas dancer and Manny’s mistress.

Manny tried to escape his past by faking his death on a caribou hunt. Now a search for his remains could destroy everything or is it an opportunity? He left behind the thumb drive with his skimmed bank account number and records of the family’s business dealings. Will Jasmine accept his call from the grave and collect the thumb drive that will provide the security they need to start over, or does she have her own agenda? Aedan is an undercover FBI canine handler sent on the search to recover the thumb drive before a mole does, but who is the mole - Jasmine or Sarah or someone else? Is his attraction to Sarah affecting his judgement? Sarah has sworn off romance after her disastrous marriage ended in divorce, can she learn to trust Aedan or will her life end when the mob extracts vengeance for her part in the search?
Will they be able to start over, or will the past poison the future?

This is the fourth in the series "Search the North Country" and travels from Las Vegas to Ray Brook, NY, to the Cayman Islands. The twists and turns will keep you turning the pages while giving you an insight into the world of canine search and rescue.

Sarah had been used and abandoned so didn’t trust men.. Aedan had been used by an ex so he didn’t trust women

Sarah was raised with old fashion ethics so when she finally gave up and divorsed her ex because of his womanizing and gamboling her mother didn’t except it and kept trying to make her mend her marriage. She and her dog had gone on and were flourishing on their own.
Aedan was an FBI dog handler with a distrust of women. His ex and an glory seeking amateur dog handler had seen to that. His ex was a two timer and the amateur dog handler had gotten his partner, best friend and dog, Clara, shot because she was trying to be a hero and not following SAR instructions. His dog was shot because he was trying to protect that woman that had no business being where she was. So he blamed all woman dog handlers.
Then the two were put on the same search and Rescue operation and the fur did fly. They both had a lot to learn about trust and working together. They both had to face a mob with long tentacles and spies entrenched in the long planned search for a flash drive that could take down a mafia family. If the man that had it was still alive he wouldn’t be for long. They have to work together or it can all crash around them.

Labrador Tea

They meet on a SAR. Sarah and her dog, Mentor with support person Seven posing as a guide but in reality is an FBI agent. They are looking for the remains of Manny lost on a hunt and is presumed dead. Manny was mauled by a bear but was rescued and flown out of Canada before the mob or the law caught him but had to leave his pack behind containing all the info on the Santo mob and the numbers to his accounts in the Cayman Islands. All the bad guys get what they deserve and Sarah and Seven are married.

A lot of characters and things happening at once

I enjoyed the series, and this book in particular was very different and very exciting to read. Sara and Aidan have both been thru a lot in their pasts, so can the future be different and better for them???
Or will her ex's gambling issues end things for them before they get there?

great characters

Have really enjoyed this series on kindle unlimited, just wish the 5th book was offered on KU. This one had great characters and loved the fact there were multiple couples involved along with the search dogs. Appreciated the fact it was both a love story and used the search dogs.

Loved the characters of Aedan and Sarah...believable...straight forward. Liked the prayerfulness. The dogs were wonderful. Lots of picturesque scenery and adventure. A really good read.

good book though sloppily written

I like Sherri Gallagher SAR books, but this one seems to have been written in a hurry and the typos and miswording were irritating as they gave the book an amateurish air. She needs to get a proofreader; spell check is not enough.

loved it

The only caveat I have is that I find it hard to believe the bad guy could be inside the house and restraining the heroine while the two German shepherds were quietly confined in the kitchen. GSDs know when strangers are entering a house and will alert!

Search the North Country #4

Another suspense adventure taking place in mountainous areas in Canada . It was a good read but with several characters that I did get confused by their where abouts and history. As I kept reading the mystery did pull itself together.

Another great story with mystery, adventure and romance.
However, there was some grammatical errors that pop up every so often that should have been fixed before publishing.

Great reading

I love all your SAR books, but please settle on one canine handler couple and the other characters as cameos characters.
