The author describes his experiences and his travels through the Libyan desert, and that with a pictorial precision that you are seduced and feel like an old desert fox. I have read the book as an ebook, but it is one of those texts that one likes to keep at home in his library to pick it up from time to time. The stories in this book assume that they are well alive. Or so it seems to you.
Little note: the author inspired the film "The English Patient", even if many things in the film deviate from the true events, the true core is to be found in the background.
