Can she trust him before it's too late?

Victoria lives a life of solitude… and she likes it that way. She's been obsessed with spaceship design from a young age and accepts the occasional interruption of her three friends (with patent protest).

Excited about her latest idea, she calls her friends, but her life is thrown out of orbit when the comm is hacked. She cuts off all contact, desperate to find the source, determined to never let her designs fall into the wrong hands again.

Running out of rations and half-paranoid someone's following her, she stops to re-supply. As she returns to her ship, her paranoia is made real. She makes a run for it, but it's too late. He grabs her hair, yanking her back into his lethal embrace.

I'm gonna die.

Please, God, someone help me.

Shifting Paradigms is Book 3 in the A Shift in Space series, but can be read as a standalone. This Sci-Fi romance featuring an autistic woman running from her past, a workaholic alien businessman, a kidnapping scheme, and of course, plenty of action and intrigue. Get started today!

I am a scientist, a dog parent, and part-time author of SciFi Romance. I love happy endings and using my biology degree in ways it was absolutely not intended. That means a lot of interesting alien biology as well as thoughtful world building.

But that's not the only reason to enjoy my writing. I also like writing diverse characters (LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent, and more) and (because I'm an author and what more can you expect from me?) throwing them into mortal peril every time it makes sense for the plot (which is sadly nowhere NEAR as often as I would like).

If that sounds like something that's up your alley, click the link below. You'll find free books (through my mailing list), early access and free short stories/bonus scenes (through my Ream page), my book list, and all my social medias. I hope to hear from you soon.

Victoria's Adventure . . .

Victoria has scientific pursuits and appreciates her solitude. She only has 3 friends, and that is more than enough. She was distracted by the messy, cluttered condition in which she had left her breakfast and dirty clothes. It was difficult for her to stay organized. Angus, the ship’s AI, helped her the most, reminding her to eat, to shower, to make trips planetside to get supplies, and even now, reminded her she had intended to call her friends. Spaceship design always fascinated her, so when she believes she has made a revolutionary breakthrough in her research, she had started to call her friends Cass, Jessie, and Cass’ boyfriend Kou to share her excitement. But while she is telling them about it, her AI notifies them her communication has been compromised and she breaks off all contact to protect her designs.

When she eventually has to go out for supplies she is running out of, she feels she is being followed. Is it just paranoia? Then it all becomes too real when someone grabs her before she can run.

Cass, who is a pirate, calls Surg, owner of Inia Intergalactic, an enormous company with a lot of money and even more clout. She is worried about the abrupt disconnect of Victoria’s video call. She tried to reach her for weeks with no success. She is unable to ping her ship which is identical to Cass’ and designed for that. And the tracker Cass had installed on the ship to provide coordinates of her location is not working either. Something is wrong; someone is blocking them. Will Surg be able to find what happened to Victoria? Can he protect her?

The story line will definitely draw the reader in to find out what Victoria has discovered and who is trying to steal her designs. Grab your copy and follow Surg’s search for her in this action-packed, exciting series.

Victoria is a genuis when it comes to science and technology. Which makes her rather like many academics in that they are not so great when it comes to peopling. They miss social cues, they cannot read reactions unless they are extreme and this make them awkward which in turns make it harder for them. Victoria is still not sure how she has managed to find her friends Cass & Jessie, let alone keep them and yet she loves them in her way. When something happens on a call to them they do all they can to ensure that Victoria is safe. Surg has been sent to make sure that his friend Cass doesn't somehow combust over the fact she cannot locate her friend Victoria. She'd called saying she'd had a breakthrough and the next moment the call terminated. Surg has nothing better to do, well that's what he tells himself, so he decides to head off to help. What he doesn't expect is the small female to have such an effect on him! He's just about deciding where that leaves him when things are taken out of his control. Can he protect Victoria from whatever it is that seems to he hunting her? Does he also need to protect himself from her and she from him?

The great plot was professionally written, and the characters were so well developed that as I turned each page the chemistry between the characters kept me totally hooked until the very last page!
