As a writer, there are days when I stare at the computer screen and the words do not come. Even when I pray, all I can say is, “Lord, give me words.”

Robin Lee Hatcher has given me words for days when I have none, and for that I am supremely grateful. If you are a writer, or even if you're not, Robin's prayers may be just the frame your feelings need to open the door of communication between your heart and God's.

In Words Matter, Robin Lee Hatcher has taken prayers she was asked to post for fellow authors and compiled them into a book for all her readers. While most focus on encouragement and the needs of writers, Christians will recognize familiar scripture verses and feel the powerful presence of God. I had to stop several times as I became tearful when I came across trials I was going through and passages that reminded me of being blessed with parents who taught me of God's love.

I love this book of prayers! It was primarily written for writers but it will minister to anyone. There are prayers later in the book not geared toward writers which I am just now starting through.
I have bought one of these books for a friend and will buy more for Christmas presents.
The prayers are beautiful and I recommend this book wholeheartedly. It has been a blessing.
