In the land of Hyperborea, where magic is forbidden and the Snow King rules with an icy fist, two young sisters, Vesna and Yadviga awake to find their mother is missing.
Before they can track her down, the younger sibling, Yadviga is taken away into the depths of the dark forest where magical creatures and danger awaits. Vesna has no choice. She has to find her.
Aurora Port is thrust into this mythical and unknown land with an impossible task...
If she fails, her boyfriend, Iraklis will be bound to a beautiful, but heartless ice princess. And her grandfather, the Snow King will expand his icy dominion beyond the borders of Hyperborea.
Journey with Aurora into a mystical world of dragons, talking trees and flute-playing spirits, as she battles her way through the bitter cold and snow to save her beloved, and Hyperborea itself from the deadly frost.
Will she succeed, or be forever taken by this wintry land?
The second part of Aurora’s journey takes us to the land of Hyperborea where the situation unfolding is not less than any fairytale. Anya Stassiy has beautifully molded Greek legends and myths into this light-hearted tale of family, love, forgiveness, and balance.
Iraklis had a very small role to play in this book, but the love Aurora has for him makes him be a part of the story for much longer than that. After reading this book, I can definitely say that the author has made Aurora, a perfect counterpart to Iraklis. The former has also undertaken a quest like the latter and persevered.
I really want to read the story of Aurora’s mother. the author has not had her as a living character in the books and yet so much depended on her for the life, Aurora lived.
Anya Stassiy combined so many tales for this book and also gave a hint towards the story of Snow White in the last chapter. I think that a successful branching out has taken place. Hyperborea has the capacity of nurturing more stories in its cradle.
Happy Reading!
*I received a free ARC via NetGalley for an honest review.
~The author, Anya Stassiy, was kind enough to provide me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review~
When I say I've never experienced a book like this I mean it. I decided to try this ARC out due to the elements it includes: urban fantasy, Greek Mythology, action. I was not disappointed by this amazing read! I will be looking into more books like Anya's but I doubt I shall find an equal to hers :)
The author managed to beautifully blend Greek mythology/legend with the topics of family, love, and even forgiveness. Typical Greek legends are seen as merciless, and this read had the perfect balance of all aspects.
In all honesty, I definitely enjoyed this read. I recommend to all fans of Greek myths, urban fantasy, action, and even fantasy retellings. You won't regret it!
Anya was so kind to send me an ARC of Keymaker’s Mark and after reading the first book, I was so excited to read more about Aurora and see where her adventure too her after saving the freakin’ world in book 1.
Aurora is literally thrown into an unknown world, on a mission to save her boyfriend from the Snow King but what happens is so much more.
If you love urban fantasy, I think you’d really enjoy this book. It has dragons, talking trees, spirits, lore and a few twists that I didn’t see coming. I thought the story and characters were really well written and she is excellent at describing her world.
Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

I read the first book in this series, and since I love series, I had to read this second one. This one is different than the first one because this feels more like a fairy tale. This book takes place mostly in Hyperborea, a different dimension than “regular” Earth. We have two tales running simultaneously: the present and the past which collide in interesting ways. This was a well-written and interesting tale, and while fairytales aren’t my favorite, the author kept me enthralled throughout. I’m interested in what will come next in Aurora’s life. Recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily read.
Having met Aurora in book one, I was eager to see what new adventures awaited her in book two. I love that this time we get not just Greek myths, but a little but of fairy tales woven in. The stakes are high, but Aurora refuses to back down as she fights back to save the innocent and the one she loves from a wintry fate. Stassiy did an amazing job with the world-building, really bringing Hyperborea to life around the reader, and bringing a chill to the air. After reading this, I'm hoping for a book three, I'd love to explore more with Aurora, and learn more about her life!
Anaya was amazing enough to send me an ARC. The first book is available on KU! This is a urban fantasy, with some Greek mythology, and tons of action. Both books are great quick reads especially if you're trying to get out of a reading slump. It is written in first person which took me a little bit to get use to since most of what I read is in 3rd person.
Loved reading the mesmerizing and spellbinding paranormal story. When the Snow Kind and his Granddaughter, Eira, kidnap and spellbound Iraklis's heart to Eira. Aurora must go to Hyperborea to try and rescue Iraklis before it's too late and stop the Snow King's nefarious plans. Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written, and riveting story full of captivating characters and suspense.
Auroras journey continues when she must save Iraklis from the snow kings dastardly plan, so she goes to Hyperborea to rescue him. This was filled with twist and turns, drama, suspense, intrigue, action and romance. An captivating storyline and an amazing world builder. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Great second edition, I was given a arc to read. Loved the twists and the inclusion of other fairytales. Really enjoyed Auroras journey and can't wait for book 3!
This is the second book in this series. Aurora travels to the land of Hyperborea. Anya Stassiy has crafted a lovely story integrating Greek mythology into a much more updated story. 4/5 stars
