Wicked Witches of Brookdale #6
Witches & Whisks
Fern has been hired to create a baby shower cake for a prominent Brookdale family, but that proves to be a challenge when her bakery is broiled in chaos. Jenny Mae has a broken heart, while Newman struggles to train Hennifer.
To top it all off, Gumbo is in a mood too.
But all of that pales in comparison to the tragedy that befalls the baby shower. A guest is dead, and once again, Fern finds herself in the middle of a murder mystery. Can she solve the crime one spell at a time, or will her sleuthing lead her right into a killer's deadly snare?

entertaining supernatural cozy mystery series
This is an entertaining supernatural cozy mystery series. A fun cast of characters and an entertaining storyline. Fern is a witch who owns a bakery in their little small town. Her cat familiar is a bit ornery and she has a couple of friends that help her at the bakery. Her boyfriend or at least in the process of becoming her boyfriend is a local police detective. Fern the first time we met was accused of a crime and now she just seems to always end up in the middle of the investigations of the different crimes. She has a knack for figuring out different clues and helping her boyfriend solve the crimes. With a little bit of magic a little bit of fun and a little bit of pure luck she stumbles upon the clues she needs. Read on and enjoy.

Just keeps getting better!
Too many suspects in one family. I had the hardest time trying to remember who was who. But that’s just me! Fern had it all figured out. Gumbo is his hilarious self throughout the story. I love snarky familiars!

Fun series
I enjoy these books. No namedropping of brand names, emphasis on gory murder scenes, car chases, leaping from building to building, etc.. Relaxing way to spend the day.
