Found some gems, others were just okay and left me wondering if they were detective stories at all.

Title is misleading.

Replace with "My 50 favorite detective stories".

A Cask of Amontillado is not a detective story.

I bought this expecting to read The Hound of the Baskervilles and The August Dupin Trilogy....
