Uzziah: Mountain Man: The Making of a Mountain Man: A Sixteenth Mountain Man Adventure
The sixteenth " Mountain Man" adventure from JJ Bonham has arrived!
After receiving news that the Civil War has begun, the two mountain men, Uzziah and Immanuel, take off for Virginia. All the O’Bannon men, even Obadiah, have gone north to join up with General Joseph Johnston in hopes of defending their home state. Everyone meets up with General Johnston’s army and end up in the First Battle of Manassas, where tragedy strikes.
Going back to the farm in the Shenandoah Valley, they bury blood, then head back to the war. Immanuel is not satisfied that this war is worth fighting, and he and Uzziah go round and round about it.
Hanna O’Bannon, Uzziah’s 19-year-old sister, dons men’s clothes and joins Jeb Stuart’s Cavalry near Richmond. Things get complicated as the man put in charge of the new “boy” recruit is someone Hanna begins to have feelings for. Hanna rescues the man she’s serving under after an attack by Union Cavalry, and things get more complicated than ever as he recovers.
