Things I liked: recipes with ingredient measured by weight, lots of helpful hints, especially about decorating.
Things i didn’t like: too many recipes with peppermint, as if that’s the only thing the holiday needs (also a fair number of chocolate w/ peppermint). And the book doesn’t have a proper index! There is a listing by notable ingredient, and a listing with the recipes in each section ordered alphabetically, but no plain old index. Sort of bizarre.
Beautiful for any occasion, many of these lovely treats are best to fit the pickiest of eaters. Immediately I found myself thinking of the all the different combinations seen here that are new to me.
