Review take 2 (first one lost in the ether):
Things I liked: recipes with ingredient measured by weight, lots of helpful hints, especially about decorating.
Things i didn’t like: too many recipes with peppermint, as if that’s the only thing the holiday needs (also a fair number of chocolate w/ peppermint). And the book doesn’t have a proper index! There is a listing by notable ingredient, and a listing with the recipes in each section ordered alphabetically, but no plain old index. Sort of bizarre.

Lovely, lovely, lovely.
This book is beautiful, creative and a holiday treasure from cover to cover. I love finding new and well loved Christmas recipes and this one has it all. The sections are broken up well by Ingredients or types and there was amazing photography to show each cookie & bar. This would be a great coffee table book for Christmas or an excellent gift for the person who enjoys holiday baking.

Beautiful for any occasion, many of these lovely treats are best to fit the pickiest of eaters. Immediately I found myself thinking of the all the different combinations seen here that are new to me.
Egg nog Nanaimo Bars, Brown Sugar Meringe, Iced Eggnog Shortbread Cookie Trees, just to mention a few.
Arranged and photographed beautifully.
