Being generous giving 2 stars. Will never be reread and will end up sitting somewhere and forgotten about. ASHLEY JUDD - STOLEN BRIDES. Found Kat way two aggressive for my tastes. Not that keen on the overall plot either as women are treated as chattel. Forgiveness was given too quickly for my tastes. Where was all her attitude after being arrested without being able to tell the truth. JOY NASH - DREAM GUARDIAN. Okay story. DOMINIQUE TOMAS - SOME ASSEMBLY REQUIRED. Computer AI turns into real person. Fairly enjoyable. JANE TOOMBS - THE LOVELAND CURSE. Probably the best of this sad lot.
Stolen Brides. REVIEW: Everything went to fast, the emotions were not described well, the characters could have been fixed to make the book better...There was really just sex and no romance in the book, and I thought it was funny when Devek said "I love you", when they barly spent 2 days together. Then again this story was a short story, so using that information, my rating for the book is 2 1/2. SPOILERS...Kat was stolen/taken as were a few other women to a planet, so that they would each be given to the male that choices them, and carry babies to restore the planet.Davek chooses Kat, and the rest was pretty forward.Carlev(One of Davek's beloved mistresses(abitch)) was the betrayer of Davek and everyone on the planet.Well in the end Kat uses her pilot skills and saves the prince, and Carlev was killed as was the other betrayers. Davek tells her he loves her and not Carlev, and the king finally trusts Kat fully because she saved his planet, himself, his son, and future heirs.
DREAM Guardian. Jewel&&Darius REVIEW: This book was really short and confusing...one minute I'm going why does she need to sing?...while another minute TI'm going Who's this...Who's that..But towards the end i figured everything out. SPOILERS...Jewel is the dream guardian that darius has been looking for, to scare away his inner demons. Turns out along time ago Darius's planet was destroyed and him and his twin brother and others were taken to be slaves to other women. Darius escaped, but now needs a singer..Jewel in the end saves his life, and a year later Darius comes back and proposes to her. MY RATING IS 3 TEACUPS.(:
SOME ASSEMBLY REQUIRED. Rahzel n La'ruis. This book confused me the most. From the beginning I was lost, and felt sorry for the girl who dreams of having sex. This story was confusing, and I didn't get the idea of the story. First she dreams of her secret man. Then weird things start happening like her waking up naked, and feeling someone touching her and talking in her head from time to time. Them later on she "finds her way" to where she was suppose to go, and stumbles upon her dream man-literally. This book acturally made me feel sad for the girl, because she doesn't even know what a kiss is or what its like! Its as if she's an alien. I didn't get the ending, but I know that she choosed him over her reality life, and they soon became legends-literally. Rating is 1 1/2.
The Loveland curse. REVIEW: Let me just say that i forced myself to read past all the other stories that was there b4 I got to this story. I'm surprised I didn't just give up on the book. But sadly....after skimming up to 10 pages of this story..I gave up!
OVERALL REVIEW: This is by far the WORST stories I've had ever read in a book. I'm surprised I even made it to the last book. Curiosity has yet again overpowered me.I really got to learn from these mistakes that I make. The whole rating for this book would be a 1 1/2. Hey, Im feeling nice today.

1. Stolen Brides by Ashley Ladd. This paragraph is the reason I stopped reading the story: " She trembled when Davek's gaze roamed boldly over her, and she remembered the sizzle of his touch on her womanly core with every fiber of her being. When his gaze darkened on her breasts, her nipples pebbled and her core tingled." WTF! No stars for you!
2. Dream Guardian by Joy Nash. Jewel meets Dar when he's playing Yoko Ono at 6am. He's an alien that needs a singer to sing him through a dream journey, and he's hoping she's it. Okay story. **
3. Some Assembly Required by Dominique Tomas. Rahzel lives in a tower alone hooking brain and somehow a computer program/soul centuries old named La'rus hooks up with her while she's connected and then manifests into a real man. I didn't understand this story at all. Super confusing. **
4. The Loveland Curse by Jane Toombs. This one had a shapeshifting woman looking for someone to "make her a woman" because none of the men at home want her. She meets up with this man in tan at Burning Man and leaves before she can change. He ends up being an alien that is actually the same as her after she shapeshifts. Huh? I liked this story the best out of the bunch but it wasn't strong enough to redeem this book.
All the books on "My books" are ones that I've personally written or that I have written one of the stories. This is a collection of short stories about paranormal alien romances - in my story's case, think along the lines of Star Trek and Star Wars.
