***Second book of the Gift Chronicles. Can be read as a stand-alone, but I highly recommend reading the first book: "The Alpha and the Vigilante" first***

••• When the Moon Goddess created the first werewolves, she split one soul between the two of them, thus creating a perfect soulmate for every werewolf thereafter, known as their mate. Upon the birth of a werewolf, she assigns them with a supernatural ability, known as their Gift•••

Onyx has been a rogue since she was kicked out of her pack at age 6 for the dangerous Gift the Moon Goddess bestowed upon her. She is perfectly content living in isolation until a certain Alpha crosses paths with her. Throw in jealous exes, powerful abilities, and old foes, and you're bound to have chaos.

The first book was amazing but majority of this second one was spent tearing down the characters and basis of her first book. Sadly disappointed.

Very sad book but so good. Never cried so much from a book and I’m still upset that Finn died.

I really enjoyed this book the twisit and turn were not what I was expecting. It made me mad, sad, happy and even angrey at times but to be able to make a reader feel all kinds of emotions from your writing is amazing. I may be sad about the chapter before the epiloge but I really like how it ended.

Great storyline! Amazing character progression. More relatable than the first book, you get a better sense of emotion and how the character feels about different aspects of her journey and feeling all the anger, fear and sadness along side the character. Very well connected series, flows beautifully from each book.

Book 2 in The Gift Chronicles (but can be read alongside or after Book 3).
So pleased I carried on with this series and can't quite believe how hooked I am on a phone book!
There were less fights/brawls in this one but my goodness there were tears at the end.
If Thane's ending was brutal (Lethal, Book 3), Finn's was devastating!😭

The whole series is beautifully connected and well-written. I particularly loved that about it.
But this book itself wasn't really a favorite of mine.

Surprising good character development, writing and story in the series.
For the genre this series well above average
