I decided to read it because I adore Mr. Ratan Tata but this book is terribly written and I highly doubt that it's even written? It looks like a bunch of random articles, picked from Google, pasted together. The author has messed up the tenses and didn't even bother to pay attention to the years that were mentioned. There's no writing tbh. Just random figures and articles from the internet attached together.
Picked up the book because of my respect for Ratan Tata. But the book had been a disappointment. The initial chapters are dedicated to his ancestors, one each from the founder to the successive chairmen of the company. This is followed by one chapter on each of the group companies. By the time you finish this, 50% of the book is done. By now you would have got the drift. Reads like a textbook one is forced to study. The 2 star rating is just for researching the information.

Again I read the book because I am fond of Ratan ji. His charm and charisma did not make me leave the book. What a legend!!!!!!🙏🏼
But the book could have been written well. I think it wasn't proofread; as I can see many language errors. I wish it could have been written well as a good written book remains in the mind of a reader.
This nice and short book offers a readily digestible summary of the Tata family's impressive history, right from Jamsetji Tata to Ratan Tata. The writing style though could benefit from more refinement. Overall, it's a good choice for those seeking a quick introduction to the Tatas.
A brief book about the journey of Tata Empire. I am immensely impressed by the dedication of JRD TATA and the future generations. No Doubt about the author, verified certain facts and found 100% correct,
The book includes a concise overview of key figures in the Tata family tree. However, the book could have been more detailed when it came to Ratan Tata's life. It's also not well structured and repetitive at some places.
Gives a decent history of the Tata family, but the book is desultory and too much repetition. And the English is very casual, doesn't seem right in what should have been a formal book.
