Jeepers Reapers: Ōtautahi Witching Academy
Full time student, part time reaper... and only friend to the world's most annoying lost soul.
Reaper isn't anyone's first choice for a career, but when my scholarship donor goes bankrupt, I have to pay my tuition somehow. The Ōtautahi Witching Academy doesn't come cheap, and a job at a local café would never cut it. In fairness, the role's not that bad… until a dead soul without a gate starts bugging me morning, noon, and night.
Suddenly it's all find-my-killer this and make-sure-my-daughter's-safe that. Not knowing who committed the murder sounds like a him problem but when it interrupts my studies, I have to take action. After all, how hard could it be to track down someone who wanted to kill George Alexander Holmes III? I've only just met him, and I'd happily pull his plug.
Soon, I'm chasing leads all over town — in between studying, learning the ins and outs of a new job, and completely failing to befriend my new roommate. My high school guidance counsellor did warn me the first year of academy life would be an adjustment, but this is plain ridiculous.

Cute paranormal series about a college student who grew up in foster homes and is only able to afford going to a college for witches on scholarships.
Things don't go well for Lucia Aaron. On her first day she finds out her sponsor went bankrupt and she has to take a side job as a reaper to be able to afford to stay in school. Her dormmate doesn't seem to be the friendliest person. On her first reaping job she ends up with a ghost attaching himself to her who was murdered and then she ends up being expelled when she loses her powers of being able to manipulate electricity.
Whew - all that just in the first week of school.. I enjoyed this introduction to the series and look forward for more about Lucia and her crazy life.

Hilariously Entertaining
I hope this is not just a one off. Love this author. Wish her series went more than 1-2 books.
The characters were interesting. I really want to know who as been stealing magic. Also Emily has some secrets

Fun,fun fun even in the sun.
This was a fun and enjoyable book. Kept me guessing all the way to the end. I would read anything by this author, Willow Mason.
