Five men have changed my wolf.
And I'm not sure if it's for the better.

Being unable to shift, having been rejected by one mate, and trying to prove my worth in this new world, I'm finding myself nearing my breaking point.

With the fall of Moon Born Academy, things go from bad to worse.

Despite the devastation, there's no time to lick our wounds. With a deadline to prove that I'm not the enemy, the mounting pressure to accept what I've lost, and needing to overcome an impossible feat, my futures doesn't look very bright.

Following the attack at the end of Alpha Wolf, we learn that Esme has recovered without issue. However, a number of Moon Born Academy students perished and Luna pack member, Krew, is in critical condition.

We also learn that, sadly, Reed has really rejected Esme as his alpha and mate. His decision has left her saddened and sick, and it’s created a rift between him and the other pack members.

Throughout this installment we learn more about Esme’s past and her connection to the Luna pack.

I really enjoy the storyline and the direction its taking. It remains interesting and is progressing at a reasonable pace - neither too quickly nor too slowly. Likewise, just as with the first book, Alpha Wolf, there is no lack of action. There’s tremendous potential, but the flow was a bit clunky and disjointed at times.

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Heat: 🌶🌶🌶🌶

🗂 Genre: Paranormal Romance

✨ Tropes: Reverse Harem, Fated Mates, Daddy, Praise

⛔️ Warning: This book/series may cause blushing, squirming, combusting panties, and/or self-care. It’s definitely NSFW or with a kiddo by your side. In fact, I would highly recommend you read this one after dark to avoid side eye or awkward conversations.

📣 Rejected Wolf is part of the Moon Born Academy series and ends on a cliffhanger.

First and foremost screw Reed this freaking guy JFC I wanted to strangle him the majority of the time I feel like he is still redeemable but I need this mofo to grovel hardcore. As for Esme I was so happy to see her grow into who she is supposed to become and not take any ish from anyone. The relationship growth be tween her and the guys is fantastic. There are some secret revealed that not only have your jaw on the floor but give you that ah ha moment. Them spicy scenes and sexy times are everything they leaving you panting for more. I have not read a shifter series that has been this good in a while and I cannot wait for book 3.

Esme could’ve easily been a beta or omega and played the same role. I don’t see the alpha part. I also don’t think I’m into rejected mates or rejected packs because I still want Reed in the mix. He’s her mate for a reason, right? The guys grew up with him, he’s pack, and they feel nothing? Idk.

I liked how they were getting to know each other this book but I feel like a lot is still superficial. Krew was the only one really shining in this as a mate. More mates weren’t needed to me because she now has to satisfy 6 guys. It already was a lot with just 4. There’s definitely another, so 7. And Reed might come back into the mix so 8? It’s too much when the relationship development is still so low at this point.

Yeah - this was all over the place. Too many characters, too many subplots, too much steam and very little plot. How are you going to add more people to the harem and keep Reed and then add all of the memory blocking stuff? It’s just a gumbo of undeveloped subplots and honestly this read more like erotica than what it was supposed to be. I haven’t seen any alpha like qualities from Esme. Who’s her beta? There’s no organization of the pack. The only thing I did like was hearing more from Kai. Aside from that, this was not the read I had highly anticipated :(

This book. I haven’t wanted to immerse myself in a world and never leave in a while. Probably not since the Immortal Instruments. But that’s all I want to do after reading this, like I struggled for days to get more than a few pages into anything else. Esme is the kinda girl you wanna be friends with and the guy. Holy hell THE GUYS!! If you love the CW and the drama of those shows and you hate having to wait each week for a new episode. This is exactly what reading this book feels like. This series! I had to force myself to slow down and take everything in slowly.
In this series Rune does this thing where it’s all relationship building and rainbows and then she blows your whole damn world away at the end. I was left shattered in a million pieces at the end of this. One because of the big revile and two because I finished before bed and I wasn’t cuddled up in a bed surrounded by hot twins. What I love most is that I want to read it over and over and it’s an easy enough read that I can. Like I just don’t want to be away from these characters for to long. Even Reed. Who I hate btw. But I’m still DYINH to know what’s going on with him.

One note of caution the questions that come up will be answered so just keep reading it will make since by the end and two as always check the content warnings. It gets HEAVY at the end.

I couldn’t help but think throughout “Reed rejected you, you delusional bih” 😅 She had a feeling that was the case throughout the whole book, instead of trusting and confiding in her pack, she held it in, took out her anger on Stone, then worked herself sick.
I was happy when she puller her head out of her ass (thanks to her pack) and rejected him. Krew crying because he thought he couldn’t be with Esme because of what happened in the last book was lowkey cute. Personally, I would have made him suffer a little more but whatever (yes, I’m aware he technically didn’t do anything wrong)
It was sad to find out her past. I’m glad Luna forced Esme to shift as a kid and kill her rapist. I was also delighted at Kylo and Xave joining the pack and her harem 🥴 Xave calling her koneko is kinda cute!! And the chemistry between Zeno and Esme is just 😗🤌🏽

really like but feel like I need more

Certain things get on my nerves but I’m invested!! It’s like I need to know what will happen next. The end hits you with some 😱🫣😱 moments.

Wrong words used. Some inconsistencies. Another reference to South Carolina instead of South Dakota. In book 1, they said the only wolf to have multiple mates was Luna but Stones aunt has multiple mates. Did we miss the part where we learned Reed’s dad gave up on him, and his mother doesn’t care. He doesn’t talk to her so how does she know? I also think it’s so stupid the parents didn’t know who she was. And where is her mom?

The ending.. Wow!!

Ok I will admit it. I like the first in the series.. Wasn't overly excited but certainly had my interest. I love how the author treated the Alpha.. Sure I'm not all into rough sex or pain.. But hey.. It was her kink and her choice.. And that is something I could get behind and find exciting.. This book was more of the same for the most part.. Good kink, good story line.. Hate the jerk in her life.. But... Dannnggggg that ending.. Whew where was my wolf when I needed her. Did not see that coming.. But I like it!!! Can't wait to see what develops next!

I've now read all three books, and I can say that giving each book 2 stars is being generous! Each book is nothing more than a group of 8 or 9 young wolf shifter males between the ages of 18 and 20 having sex with their 19 year old wolf shifter female Alpha. That's it!! Yes, there was a brief attempt at a mystery plot around the creation of demon wolf shifters but over the course of the three books that probably accounted for 10 pages. Thank goodness these were free books otherwise I would have wasted time and money!

Rejected Wolf picks up shortly after the end of Alpha Wolf. Esme is recovering from the attack and has somewhat suppressed that Reed rejected her. This book really focuses on the bonds between Esme and her guys. We also meet two more wolves - Kylo and Xave- who are great. Still hate Reed - not quite sure what his agenda is. There is a big reveal at the end that makes me excited to see what happens in book 3.

I was hoping this series would take a different path after book one was uncomfortably similar to another
rejected mate wolf series. Much to my dismay, this book took even more inspiration from that series. Very
disappointed as I think this author has potential if they would focus on unique storylines. This is a slap in the face to other small authors in the author community as it’s basically a butchered version of another series with subtle changes just enough to where it “seems original”

Great story line but the editing could be so much better.

Esme is a survivor but she has a lot of holes in her memory. These holes are slowly being filled. Good build up. Her mates are just about perfect. I would like Reed to die a slow agonizing death.

A little rejection. A lot of sex. I am not a fan of daddy being used during these scenes but that is just me.

Can't wait to read the next installment.

I really enjoyed jumping right back into this amazing world with Esme and her pack. And right from the very beginning we are thrust back into all the action, suspense, drama, violence and utterly steamy moments between them all. But there are so many little mysteries and twists throughout that have us questioning where things are going to go from here. I loved it all and I can’t wait to see how the story progresses from this point forward after that ending!

I am too invested. I have to finish the series even though there are too many characters and they all are becoming one in my mind.
Kai is the soft one
Krew is the say sexual stuff one
Zeno gets lost in the pages sometimes
Reed is my Emo days
Stone is the only one with sense (even though I know he isn't Black, I see him as a Black dude)
Esme is the heroine I think
Now we got two new dudes Kylo and Xaves who I code as Kai 2 and Less-Rude-Reed.

OMG this is a must read

You not reading this book is not a choice it's not an option you absolutely have to this author has a way of touching you a way of making you feel exactly what the characters feel the emotion is conveyed so clearly. Don't mess out on this series it's perfect you definitely need to read it and if you're easily triggered Then I need you to consider that as well

Book 2

I am writing this review after completing the three book series.

Overall the series was ok. If not for the explicit sex scenes, I would recommend it as YA fiction. The characters are early 20s and their emotions, actions, and reactions were indicative of that age group.

The storyline is somewhat interesting, but there are major plot holes and missed opportunities for a more captivating story. I did find myself pushing through to finish.

Some Editing Needed But Okay

The plot is finally rolling a bit, but it does end on a cliff hanger. Not gonna lie, I was holding out hope for there to be a bigger change in Reed. Given the mixture of feelings he has about Esme. Interesting to get more new characters, but I'm hoping for more district personalities.

Bigger issues like missing words, misspellings, grammar and punctuation could be cleaned up. I'm sure another edit would help.

Rejected wolf a continuation of alpha wolf picks up with more twist and turns as esmeray and her mates/pack mates try to find there footing as pack. We finally get some answers as to what happened to Esmerays wolf, with having some answer will she be able to shift? Enjoyed reading this book and impatiently wait for the next book

Reading this series so far as an ARC reader has been great!
The book gets spicy and the bonds with the pack grow, Kai and stone still hold my heart
I can never actually get enough of the book rune puts out I always read them more than once just to indulge on the great story.
I'm so looking forward to the next book to meet new potential mates and endure new bonding

Can’t believe I’m saying this but I wish there was more story and less smut scenes. Slightly annoyed by everyone but the twins and Zeno in this one. I should read the last book, but I’m done with this series cause I’m sure nothing will happen except she fucks her mates and then the last chapter where she finally shifts.

Middle-of-the-road. Again...

I want to like these books. I do. But, there are so many jumps, errors & development issues. I don't think I can read book 3 at this point. Either the author's work was never edited, had a crap editor , or was translated from a different language..? Points for a decent storyline.

Reed made me so mad! I kept waiting for him to be redeemable in this book, but I don't think it's happening! While the editing isn't great, it doesn't detract much from the overall story. This book had a lot of growing and bonding that was great to read! Esme is slowly finding her wolf, especially after a heartbreaking revelation. Loving the new characters too!

Slowly but surely

What's that saying about a turtle winning the race?!? Oh well anyways, its been a long and tedious journey. Finally we get atleast a couple of questions answered it took the entirety of two books, too many sex scenes, and random incidents and clues, but here we are. Let's hope things become a little more clearer on this next book.

Totally hooked in

I once again devoured Rune’s book in an evening.

The storyline following Esmeray is brilliant and I am hooked on it completely.

I am so excited for the next book and what happens with her and her pack. Is she going to get any additions or stay as she was?

Trigger warnings needed!!!

The book was great until the last chapter, not everyone has the same triggers but I would not have read this and given it a poor review of I had known rape was included.

Intriguing Plot

I'm liking this story. It was great to see two more added to the pack, see the other pack members date E, and finally solve her past, albeit sad. Can't wait for the this and final book.

Readable

Ugh. I didn't hate it. I feel like it had so much more potential than what it was. I will finish the series. The worst part about it was the grammar and formatting. It was like it didn't get edited at all!
