Hi, I'm M.M. Crumley Your Author Extraordinaire (Also Known as M.M. Boulder)
As M.M. Crumley I write Urban Fantasy books full of supernatural action, nail-biting-mystery and; laugh-out-loud humor. Why? Because stories, myths, and legends have always been a huge part of my life... As a child, I liked nothing better than to lose myself in a world where magic and heroes were part of the fabric of existence.
As my pen name M.M. Boulder I write psychological thrillers and murder mysteries that bring the darker impulses we may not feel completely comfortable with into the light. My stories are full of lies and deaths, but there is always justice. A type of justice that's not afraid to get its hands dirty. I write morally ambiguous characters who are pushed to their limits and take matters into their own hands. In my world getting away with murder has never been so much fun!
No matter what I write every one of my characters are real to me. They exist. They are three-dimensional beings who demand that their stories be told. If I were to turn away from them, they would haunt me; and so I don't. Instead I chase after them and write down everything they say!
I have several series to help you scratch your itch for adventure: THE HOUSE OF GRAVES Series THE IMMORTAL DOC HOLLIDAY Series THE LEGEND OF ANDREW RUFUS Series JANEY FALKE: SAINT KILLER Series (Coming Soon) Five Deliciously Dark Psychological Thriller Novels And More...

"I swear to you that I have never stood by and done nothing. And no one should. Would I walk past a man beating his child and do nothing? No! Would I sit in my car and watch someone be beaten to death? No! Everyone has the ability to stand for what is right; just not everyone does."
This quote. This right here is why I love M.M. Crumley and her books. This is from the newest Doc Holliday book and it was EPIC and INTENSE.
She has taken bits from the real Doc, and interspersed him with her own vision, and from my perspective, the best parts of some of the best movie Doc's. .The character and the supporting cast are all well written and the emotions in Doc and crew can truly be felt.
If you're looking for a new read, look no further. I highly recommend these.
Some people should have learned a lesson in book 4. Do. Not. Mess. With. Doc’s. Friends! Especially when that circle continues to grow. Great characters that, individually, could have been a one book wonders have remained and helped create an amazing ensemble! I’m looking at you Tucker. This series is always a delight to read.
Ps… I really want to see the Baker kids and Tucker get to know each other.
This series is highly entertaining, well crafted urban fantasy with a touch of Old West adventure. The plots are intricate, with interesting sub plots. The sex is sensual without being overly graphic or going on until it becomes downright boring. Ms. Crumley's characters are multi dimension with unique quirks and identities. And kudos to her remarkable breadth of research into various cultures' myths and folktales. I put her books on a par with Jim Butcher's Dresden Files.
These books are strange, addicting, well written and worth reading over and over. I wasn’t sure if I liked them but I find I can’t stop reading them. I hope that provides you that little bump of curiosity that makes you read them.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE these Immortal Doc Holliday books. This book Chasm was no different it was true to the style and character that M.M Crumley has done. Chasm was really for me a up all night don't touch my book and excitement to see the next page. I don't want to say much because omg I really want to say a lot about this book and I would be spoiling Doc and Jury and the friends they have 😁😁😁😁⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Highly recommend for a great book and read.
Another fine installment to the series. An anti-hero with standards. More magic, more deaths and not for the faint of heart. Part of me is wondering when the conclusion will arrive and the other part wants the stories and characters to continue indefinitely. The nicest part is that the quality of the stories is not being negatively impacted.
This was so good if you have g Sen following the series I am sure I was not the only one who whooped in delight that Phillip finally got his comeuppance. Whoops give spoilers which I really don't do. Please just read this .You will not be sorry. Highly highly recommended.
4 There's No Reason A Book Couldn't Be A Weapon Stars
Chasm is the eighth book in The Immortal Doc Holliday series by M. M. Crumley.
I'm so happy this book finally happened. There always seemed to be more stewing behind all of these different evil masterminds. It's not entirely shocking that Phillip Jury was the true puppetmaster behind so much of it. I'm mostly shocked Abigail came around, and I hope her and Underwood can find each other in the mess after destroying most of Drustan's line. They seemed to fancy each other.
I like how much change Doc brought to the Hidden during his short reign as Tetrarch, and I have every hope that Simon will make an even better leader of the United States Cryptids. And with Aine to stand at his side, as well. I do wonder what other changes will be in their future? If they'll out the Hidden within this series. If there is any way at all for norms to not wreak havoc upon the cryptids hiding in their midst?
Cynric is still a living head possessing a stone of great power, so there's potential for more havoc on that front. And Drustan didn't die within these pages so let's all hope he doesn't get willy and escape before he meets his consequences.
Tucker is definitely growing on me. I am starting to really enjoy this character. I hope they do take a vacation, the three of them, because I can't wait to see what trouble they will find.
And finally, it appears his Throne is so much more. That the ghosts he sees near him, in the Dreaming, are truly the people he misses. I wonder what it all means? The significance of his creation?
While the witches are trying to remove Doc from the Tetrarch position, he is working on releasing the prisoners from Blackwater. It’s a difficult thing to do but with help from the western witches and other assistance that Jervis supplied the impossible starts to happen. But there are more plans that the witches plan to enact bringing danger to Doc and his friends. This is difficult to review without mentioning a lot about what’s happening in the book and giving stuff away but this has action, suspense, surprises and humour. Doc is also at some of his darkest moments. This is such an enjoyable series, there is just so much involved but it’s interesting, has a great story and characters. It has both light and dark moments but it is really good.
Poor Thomas jury gets taken and Doc has to save him again, but finale battle with Phillip jury in this one. Having read the graves series with Tessa in (so far she was only in this series once for a minute meeting, doc was shocked to see her all grown up) really that series is six months after the prison break out at Blackwater because she meets Curtis in a bar (not like that just whiskey drinking together) but it's nice to see his back story and jury's how he got controlled. Having read them in wrong order (and not read Andrews story first series before docs) I have been waiting for things to happen that's in next series, this book showed the link to me.finally please read series in order so you stay focused on the now (I feel like a seer)
Another thrill a minute adventure! Doc has to rescue Jury and tries to take down the Jury family. Things get pretty sticky pretty quick. Will this be the last hurrah for Doc? Good read!
This book had me smiling and snarling. Smiling, seeing Doc being Doc. From freeing the prisoners in Blackwater, to getting rid of tetrarch title. Snarling, from what Phillip did. It was justice, how he died.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
These books are a rollicking good time. Crumley gets a bit too much into witty banter again, and I find myself skimming for a return to action, but this is still a fun read.
You absolutely do need to read these books in order, as the stories build and are resolved over the course of the series. One of the best series I’ve read.
