Hannah Kilpatrick wasn’t looking for more than a one night stand, but she can’t seem to shake the one from New Year’s Eve. Ever since she left Cecelia Webster’s bed, she regretted not getting her number. She knew it could never work anyway since she lied about her age to get into her bed, but she still couldn’t help but wonder about her. When she walks into her college math class, she doesn’t have to wonder anymore because her professor is none other than Cecelia.
Cecelia Webster wanted one fun night before she started her dream job. What she never expected was for one of her students to be the person who provided that fun night. She knows it can’t go anywhere since Hannah is her student, but what is she supposed to do when she learns Hannah is so much more than a good time?
Erica Lee finished writing her first book, Dear Santa: I’m Gay, in December 2016. Erica currently lives in Pennsylvania with her wife, dog, chinchilla, and bunny. She spends her days working as an optometrist and her nights snuggled up on the couch with her furry family, binging on netflix or youtube.

This Kindle Unlimited book comes after the introductory novella of The Six Pack series, which should be read first before this book. In that novella, we were introduced to a core group of six friends whom I presume would each have at least one book, and Hannah is one member of that group.
I was super excited to start this book because the professor / student trope is my guilty pleasure (professors are awesome!) and yes, I enjoyed it. Hannah lies about her age, says she's 25 when she's actually only 20 and has a one night stand with a stranger who turns out to be her new math professor, Cecelia. So now it's awkward at school and Cecelia tries to keep her distance for obvious reasons. But Hannah makes a play for her whenever she can and Cecelia flip-flops but caves in. I actually think she gives in too easily and I'm slightly disappointed that Cecelia doesn't hold out for as long as I thought she would because the longing and rejection is an important part of forbidden love stories, but I suppose the author was going for a lighter mood. That being said, I like it and they have a sweet thing going on.
Not many authors dare to or care to touch this trope so I'm always happy when a new book comes out. This trope is not everyone's cup of tea but I know some of you out there love it too, don't deny it. Lol.
Beautiful book. Cecilia and Hannah make a wonderful couple. I love age gap romances and the teacher/student subject was a plus. Very well written as always by Erica Lee. Can‘t wait for the next book in this series.
As a math person, I was kinda hoping there are really some kind of mathematical thingy in here but no and that was kinda disappointing haha and since this is a short story, so everything are too fast and I can't feel the chemistry (not even the math lol) but overall, it's a fun read. The six pack friendship are fun and I am looking forward to other stories.
This is an age gap and professor/ student relationship. I was kind of afraid to read this one because the student is only 20. I’m glad to report it isn’t predatory at all.
I liked this pairing and please note that you have to read this in order. This is book 2 in the novella series.
Awww! I really enjoyed this short story. It’s a good example that a short story/novelette can work a nice detailed story without rushing things, this covers a six months period. I guess that in order to accomplish that you must have a clear idea about what you want, the words you are going to use, the complexity you are willing to endure and most importantly what you will (if applicable) sacrifice (not to write something in the story).
So, this story follows: Hannah Kilpatrick, a beautiful, university student who’s enjoying life and women, she’s ready to conquer every hot girl she can and that’s good until two weeks before starting a new year at school, during New Years she has one of her greatest one night stands with Cecelia. Cecilia Webster, an Type-A personality professor, was looking for one night of fun during New Years parties and she found it but.. What happens when your one night stand is seated in your math classroom during the first day of school, in the new university you are teaching at?
About the story. I enjoyed it a lot mainly because even though you have a main character, the counterpart is equally responsible for the development of the telling. Additionally this is a group of friends, they are present in every part of the anecdote, they aren’t just forgotten.
P.D.: there's a slim age gap romance but it is a very, very mild issue if you can even say it's an issue.
This was a fun short read and continuation of The Six Pack series. 74 pages. Student/professor, forbidden romance, age gap (10 years), fast paced. 1 POV and in third person. 1 spicy scene.
Hannah uses her fake ID to joins the friends at a bar for New Years Eve. She had a great time with her one night stand but has no plans to see her again. Walking into math class her bedmate is a new to the college professor. Both are mortified but still attracted Hannah had claimed to be 25 but is really 20. Cecelia is 32. This is an age-gap and a forbidden romance trope. It works well for a novella as the formula is hard to sustain for a long time. Hannah is actually sweeter than her player persona. I wish we got to know more about Cece. I did like the back story with her brother and how they meet for a simple movie or to sit in the park to talk. I did wish that Cece didn’t give in so early as a semester isn’t a tremendous amount of time to wait to for a romance. The series is starting off great.
I feel like I pretty much laughed out loud through the first half of this story! Then it took a more serious turn with Cecelia’s brother and Chad… and then… then I do believe this story had the most amazingly powerful one-word text, EVER. I mean, the context was crucial, but wow that one word blew the story wide open.
So at some point, as expected from the setup at the end of the first Six Pack story, this comes down to a student/teacher kind of story. And, I gather that’s not everybody’s cup of tea, but I thought it was handled well. In the story it’s pretty clear that neither one of them is using leverage to force the other into anything, it’s more that they happen to be a really good fit for each other, and the ultimate resolution comes after their class together is over.
All in all, this was amazing, and blew me away for its length. Sure, the relationship drama could have been drawn out more in a longer book, but as is it was a perfect fit. What got me was how much I laughed, but at the same time how heartfelt and moving other parts of the story were — a wonderful combination.
And Kiera? Oh yes, Kiera is the bomb. The absolute best, lol. Even when she’s throwing people under the bus. (Don’t worry, they know it’s coming!)
This was a very enjoyable novella on its own, and I am very excited about the idea of the whole series. I like this group of friends and following them for a multiple installment series sounds like a great opportunity for a lot of character arc/growth. The writing in this entry was very well done, as expected from this author. I felt the connection between the characters, and even though it moved quickly the author took the time to give the reader solid reasons why they would be drawn to each other.
This novella did a great job of taking some delightful tropes (age gap, student/professor, one night to forever, etc) and does a decent job of pulling them off. Some elements of this novella were very well done and enjoyable, with the characters fighting against their unstoppable attraction and trying to “do the right thing”. Upholding their boundaries was refreshing, and the giving in was satisfying too. Cecelia clearly cares a lot about her position and thankfully doesn’t immediately decide to risk it all over a girl she slept with once (refreshing!). At the same time, they somehow also gave in relatively easily in the end. It makes sense given the length of the novella, but I think it would have been more satisfying if the author played around with the trope a bit more and let things develop slower.
At one point there was some unreasonable over-reactions to what I thought were reasonable circumstances, and a big lack of communication. This was disappointing, but thankfully didn’t last very long and there were some good conversations (with friends) that followed.
This was a forbidden, age gap relationship about a twenty-year old student, Hannah Kilpatrick, and her thirty-year old college math professor, Cecelia Webster. They met at a gay bar on New Year’s Eve and had a one night stand after Hannah told Cecelia that she was twenty-five. So Cecelia is surprised to see Hannah in her classroom in the new year and even more surprised to find out her true age. They agree that things can go no further given the circumstances. However, when they accidentally meet one night at a movie theater a few towns from home, they begin to talk and their relationship begins to grow. The will they or won’t they is then set in motion.
Even though this was a novella I enjoyed the characters and the storyline development. I also, loved the HEA and the possible transition to the next book.
I’m really enjoying these monthly releases… My only complaint is id like them to be a bit longer…
Whilst the story itself is a bit far fetched, the author writes so well that I was believing every word and immersed within it!
The only reason for 4 stars is, as I said above, I felt I’d have liked it to be a bit longer but I hope we will see this develop over time throughout the rest of the series🤞🏻
I love this author so much and always enjoy reading everything she writes!
I wasn’t sure about this series as I noted in my review. This book did it. It has everything you want in a great love story. The chemistry between Hannah and Cecilia was encouraging and excitingly new. With the romance blossoming, the only was is forward. Ok so I like this second book. Now must check out the next book. Erica Lee’s writing has made me a believer……
A very cute age-gap story continued from the first book. Student Hannah is certainly surprised when she walks into her math class to find the new math professor, Cecilia is her hookup from a wild New Year's Eve party. A great blossoming romance with lots of chemistry and honest respect for one another. The friends add lots of support and so much humor. Perfect title, Erica!
Hannah can’t forget the woman she met on New Years Eve and wishes she had gotten her number. When she walks into her math class on the first day and the professor is Cecilia they are both blown away. Then they run into each other at the movie and temptation pulls them into a secret relationship. How will they ever bale the ethics of the relationship and their feelings? Great second in series.
Finally I read the forbidden formula. And as much as I didn't like the first part, I'm just as excited about this one! And strangely, I don't really like the tropes like professor/student, but then it just touched some strings of my soul. Description of Sisi... just my feminine ideal. And the description of her in trousers costumes…I understand Hannah, I understand. And sex on the table is my main fucking kink. In short, I just enjoyed it so much

This the second of a series, I'm confused in Amazon I read that was a series of four books but somewhere I read that Erica was releasing a new novella each month for the whole year. I want to believe the last as I have something to look forward to. First two are keepers
Ms. Lee has written another short story starring the Six Pack. Hannah and her college professor, Cece, have a one night stand on New Years. Sparks continue to fly when Hannah ends up in Dr. Cecilia Webster's math class. The story has a pleasant ending and leads the reader into the next book in the series.
It's a professor/student, age-gap, WLW fic that ticks all the boxes. The "will they, won't they" is ok, the forbidden-ness is touched upon, the book is wrapped up by the end in a little HEA. I think due to the books brevity it was hard to get invested in any character, but it's a quick short read to entertain.
It is amazing how good it is to read such warm and uplifting friends and lovers stories. I was right when I said I couldn't wait to read book 2! It was such a fun and fanciful continuation of the opening book too this series.
This is the second book of a series about a group of friends who love and support each other. I think the author does a good job of letting you into the characters heads. Well done!
A really nice romance about a student/teacher relationship that started with a wild New year party, but neither one knew that they were going to be in class together. They manage to make it work until the end of the semester.
Idk, I looove the idea but it felt rushed and like both MCs were written a little immature. I understand that these are all basically novellas instead of fully fleshed out books but it just made me feel like I was missing something.
This was really nice for the most part. Still didn't totally understand the magnitude of the blowup. Doesn't really fit totally with Hannah and the way she loves Cecelia. Quick read - have read it a few times tying to make sense of the blowup.
