The world is about to tilt on its axis. Good versus Evil. Light versus Dark. There’s a balance to the world's alignment and every thousand years the Earth Realm, the Fae Realm, and the Spirit Realm collide, igniting a period of rebalancing.
The Culling.
And while the empowered sects battle for a stronger foothold and fight to find ways to strengthen their forces, the humans go on living blissfully unaware.
Which is good. Blissful ignorance is exactly where we want them to be…
Well, some of us, anyway.
As the volatility rises, the aggressive races protest. Between riots of exposure, fighting off the big baddies, and searching for ways to strengthen our position, our lives are pretty much a chaotic jumble.
Yeah, well, what else is new?
Join Fiona and Team Trouble as they prepare for the biggest battle of the millennium. Things are about to change. Will they be ready for it? Are you?

I’ve been enjoying this series immensely since I discovered it last January (2021). I’ve eagerly awaited each new release, and loved the heck out of each new adventure Fi and family embarked upon. But now with these last two books, I’ve become a bit disenchanted. There are only so many times that the same plot devices can be reused before it becomes stale, and it’s now that way for me.
Loved the introduction of a certain new God, the armour, Fi learning more about her crown, and seeing some old favourite characters. I also liked the adventure, the island, the time travel, but this series has already been there, done that (for the most part), and I’m now hoping that the series will get down to business, build to its culmination with the Culling, and bow out on a high note rather than outstaying it’s welcome, so to speak.
Please do not end the series! The thought of only 1 more book 📖 is devastating. I rate books but don't leave reviews. This was necessary. Keep the series going. Since you started this series, I have gone through some tough times. Death, severe health issues, etc. Escaping with team trouble has played a big part in my getting through it all. Take pity on your readers and keep them coming.
I really enjoyed this book. One suggestion - Could you include a list if characters (all species, including animals) at the beginning? I forgot who Manx and Doc were in the weeks since I read the last book. It would be helpful.
Fi, Sloan and her brothers unexpectantly go into the past for some expert help and training for the coming Culling.
The clan has a new member. Soo cute! Getting to be more animals than people in the clan. LOL
I still skim through some of the character conversations when they start to chatter on and on about the same thing. Things that usually can be cut short or even cut out completely. I enjoy the funnier things but Fi can’t seem to stop worrying about stuff. We get it, Move on.
Footnote: 1) I know how Fi feels about her arm. I had a pinched nerve in my neck that caused my right arm to go numb and tingling all down to my hand. Fortunately, a cortisone shot fixed it so I didn’t need surgery.
Fave scenes: Fi’s explanation to the nixies, the secret of the crown, Emmit’s battle response and Gran’s magical gardening.
I am so loving Clan Cumhail. This has been the best book yet. I am so excited to see what happens with Emmett and Ciera. The love of family throughout this series is heartwarming, hilarious, witty and excited. To have all the family support each other is endear. I especially love the quick witty replies that they have during a normal conversation. I would love to see more side adventures with the Greeks, Gamer, Myra and Anyx. Possibly stories about their lives prior to Clan Cumhail. There is just so many different people that are interesting ANYTHING you decide to write will be awesome. Thanks again for making this reader happy with this series.
As much as I like Fi and the rest of her friends and family, I was hoping that this would be the last book in the series. I’m getting tired of them talking about the good versus evil that’s coming up but yet it never seems to get here. I feel like almost every book is the same old same old. I did like this book because even though they got dragged back into the past again they did learn some interesting things to take back to the present. I will be reading the next book in the series. I just hope it’s the last one.
Oh the worlds bestowed within the words! This is such a craic! Thank you for every word every world every creature and concept and character! Not to mention the love and rightness! Oh but to wait for the next installment… sad! And yet delightful… but there must be 5 or ten more I will never be satisfied with just one more unless I actually get magical powers on about the thousandth word… that would rock!
Fi , her friends and family are banding together and getting ready for the big fight between good and evil. They have come a long way together and are upping their fighting and magical skills. I love this series and any new book in it always goes to the head of my TBR list. The characters are amazing and so is the storyline. I cannot wait to read the next book, but am sad since it is the end of the series.
Tempest and Anderle, you rock!!! When a book pulls you in and doesn’t let go until the very last word, is a testament to how fantastic the authors are. This book certainly rings true. Very well written with some unexpected twists that definitely made me weep a little, laugh out loud and jolt in excitement. Now to patiently wait for the next book in the series.
The family aspect as front focus again made this book better, especially because the recent familial strife made the relationships more realistic so you're invested more in the characters. I liked the Iron Crown aspect, though it felt like a thrown-in afterthought by the author to make things more interesting rather than a secret plot twist that was waiting in the wings.
These (those in the headline) are among the final words in this installment. Specifically, the entire phrase was, “Clan Cumhaill works best under pressure.” But let us all cross our fingers and fervent
This series needs to go on FOREVER!!! OMG I love this family and extended family story! Amazing action and amazing sweetness and love that make it all worth fighting for. Howard S (the S stands for Super Fan!)
Auburn and Anderle have done it again! Fiona and her crew with more fun , jokes and action enough to make it hard to put down! Another book please guys? PLEEEEEEEASE???? *sweet puppy look at both authors* Slainte !
This book is not a standalone so first I suggest you read the other 13 books in the series that being said I love this book The twist the turns the adventure but I feel it left me on a bit of a cliffhanger so this time it's four out of five stars.
Great can't believe that they went so far back in past. Now they get a better chance to defeat their enemies. Hopefully they'll get all that they want and then a rest. Until there next adventure.
...this series! The family is awesome and there are simply no words to describe how incredibly inclusive they are. This is one of my top 5 favorite on-going series, and I am thrilled to know it will continue after this arc is done. WOOT!
I think at book 14, we aren’t getting in depth with the characters except for Fi and Sloan but! it’s fun to read and I look forward to what happens with the culling. also, the dragons and the new “shoulder” dragon are great. more on them please
This is a wonderful series. I can't get enough of the Clan. Keep em coming. Seriously don't stop! I don't want a world where this adventure ends. Its been a perfect escape during this pandemic.
The suspense builds as the culling tide draws closer. This book seems more dedicated to building relationships for the Cumhails than the others in the series. A new race pops up...a tumble back in time and thrilling end. Can't wait to read the next!
I love this series. It makes me want to move to Ireland and become a druid. Fi and team trouble explore a mythical island with Fionn in his time. Emmet is the man of the hour.
Okay everyone. One more book in the series to go. The good guys and girls are almost ready for the Culling. So let us continue on and see how the fare. Go Clan Cumhaill, etc al. Keep on reading.
Again a great book for when you just want to smile. I do sense a pattern of one book not as cheerful dealing with bad guys. And the next a fun loving romp with the family. This one was the latter. This series makes me smile
This is a book that I like more than the one before. Maybe because I like dragons and being able to transport to another time and place. And always happy to read about the family ties that bind the hearts of family and friends.
A Culling Tide, book fourteen of the Chronicles of an Urban Druid series, is an ebook I borrowed through Kindle Unlimited (KU). It looks like things are coming to a head in the struggle between light and dark. The action seems faster-paced, and more intense. Great build up for the finale.
I highly recommend this imaginative book, and the fascinating supernatural series in which it is, to readers who love reading kick@$$ Urban Fantasy. Enjoy!
