A brand new angsty enemies-to-lovers sports romance. Charming, cocky football players. A cross-town rivalry. Reckless parties and the drama-filled angst of an entire town. It’s time for the Oaks East Vipers!

Senior year. One more year.
One more year with my football-obsessed family.
One more year of Oaks East High School.
And one more year of my twin brother, Logan, and his arrogant football-playing buddies.
I hate them. And Alexander Lake won’t let me forget it.

Alexander Lake has Oaks East in the palm of his hand.
He has it all. Looks, talent, and personality.
Girls fall at his feet. Guys want to be him.
Senior year was the year he was going to own it all. Until his world crashes in around him, and only one person can save him.

But he hates me, right? I’m the annoying twin sister. The one my brother has put off-limits.

But hating each other has never felt this good.

I found this romance quite entertaining. Elise can’t stand her brother and his football friends, especially his best friend Alex. Amidst the pranks and bullying from them, and troubles at home, Elise somehow ends up getting mixed signals from Alex. The chemistry between them is sizzling, but there is so much going on in both their lives, that it will take a lot of strength to overcome it all. I really liked Elise and Alex together, and thought they were adorable. I cannot wait to read about Logan’s story next.

This is my first book by this author and it won't be my last. I never wanted to put this down. This is the first story in the "Oaks East Vipers" series. This is an interesting high school sports romance about Elise and Alex.

Alex is best friends and team mates with Elise's twin brother Logan. Alex and Logan live to torment Elise and make her life a living hell. Elise can’t stand her twin brother and his football friends, especially his best friend Alex.

I really liked Elise and Alex together and thought they were adorable. I cannot wait to read about Logan’s story next in Hate The Player.

Sort of Familiar

The story is similar to the Rixon Raider series. There are notable differences but really close. And while this version is more grammatically correct and doesn’t offend one of the largest group of alumni in the US, it was also slightly annoying. I was ready to quit about a 3rd of the way in because the best friend irritated me so bad. So because it is almost too close to someone else’s work and Elise refusing to stand up to her friend to the point of obnoxious, or confront the dad about his treatment of Elise this book isn’t getting more than 3 stars. Which I feel is generous.
