“Something seemed to dawn on Remus then; something so obvious he couldn’t believe he hadn’t seen it before. He frowned and looked at Sirius quizzically.

“What?”

“Are you…” Remus began, gaping slightly, “jealous of the cat, Sirius?”

Sirius looked down.

“I’m not jealous of the cat.”

“You’re jealous of the cat!”

“I am not jealous of the bloody cat.”

 

Remus finds a stray cat on the street and brings it in. Sirius is not impressed. Chaos ensues.”
