My return to Whistler’s Hollow hasn’t given me the answers I seek; every question leads to a new mystery to solve.
Were my parents murdered? Who covered it up and why? What were they involved in and why can’t I remember most of my childhood?
The family I’ve forged while I search for the truth has changed me forever:Edgar, Wolfie, Doyle, Prez, Benjy, and my bestie Saoirse. But this town has secrets buried so deeply I’ll have to drag them out kicking and screaming, and when I do, everyone who kept me in the dark will be sorry.
My name is Jolene Athena Whitley and I will get the answers I seek—or die trying.
Rejected in the Hollow is book number two in the Misfit Protection Program. MPP is paranormal romance series full of mystery, humor, and a FMC who doesn't have to choose between the hot supernaturals vying for her attention. Check inside sample for content warnings. It is recommended to read the Home to the Hollow omnibus prior to reading this book.

This book starts to help clarify things presented in book 0.5 and 1. Something’s don’t make sense unless you read the extra book only found in the omnibus such as Wolfie’s mating bites. They seem to appear overnight without any prior hinting or suggestion.
Judge’s feelings for different people seem to change overnight without any sort of gradual growth or explanation. Again the extra book provides this. If you don’t read the extra book it is very jarring in this book.
Cassandra gives us a fantastic book in this series! The story of Jolene and her growing harem continues as they try to get the answers they need to help her learn who and what she is. It's an emotional rollercoaster ride to a cliffhanger ending. Well written with complex characters and plot twists that keep you turning pages throughout. I enjoyed reading this story and highly recommend the series. Don't miss out!!
This fab story continues and Jolene is gathering more men as she gathers more clues. I also have to say that I'm enjoying her 'gathering' of animals. It adds a great dimension to the plot, for me. I love how the author is able to give so many characters a clear voice so I can connect with them and understand their motivations easily. As you may expect, the mystery continues to unfold and I can't wait for the next book to come out ;D
Rejected in the Hollow is this *technically* is the 3th book in this series but placed as Book 4 in the Misfit Protection Program series (including the omnibus). This is such an unique and fun series. Cassandra Featherstone completely captures that small town vibe with paranormal aspects. Jolene may be struggling a bit with her childhood trauma of bullying, but that doesn't get her down. She has ever growing harem, which is always so much fun! The witty banter, the mystery of the Hallow, the character growth is amazing. Definitely anticipating the next book
Have you ever had a book that you've been waiting on, so excited for it then when you read it, it went beyond your wildest expectations? That's what Rejected in the Hollow was for me. I was so eager for its arrival that I completely devoured it and now that I've finished it, I'm utterly ruined because the wait for the next book has begun.
At the end of Return to the Hollow, everything was a mess, Jolene's past trauma was triggered by the bullies in the Hollow, and with that, it was revealed that the people she has finally opened up to have been keeping things from her.
All this leads to Jolene dealing with her past issues and guarding herself but I'm so proud of her because she acknowledges her issues and works through them. Jolene's vulnerable side is shown but so is her strength, she has weathered so much and has become stronger for it. She's also stopped taking so much crap from the citizens of the Hollow, there were a few scenes that I loved because Jolene let people have it. It was amazing.
Jolen had put up walls and the guys and Saoirse had some much-needed apologizing to do, Jolene didn't let them off easy, they had to work for it and while things aren't perfect they are on the road to being good. All the relationships have progressed with Jolene and her guys, the emotional connection is getting stronger after the air was cleared, things are sexually explosive, and stronger connections have been made, there is a lot more with Benjy, Dhameer (the prince), and Hugo have escalated. Even the relationship between Teddy (Edgar) and Wolfie has gotten better. They are building a family, something that every single one of them needed in one way or another.
I love Cass's writing, she freaking hilarious. I swear I was laughing and smiling through most of this book. The jokes and pop culture references were great and I don't know if Cass did it before and I just didn't realize it but all the chapter titles were songs. And let's not forget Cass's signature book notes, I'm a bit of a nerd and I just love it when an author adds book notes. As for the story itself, I don't think I ever loved characters more. The banter is great and I can feel the connection the characters have from the page. Things about the supernatural world are slowly being revealed, people's powers, magic, strengths, and (magical) culture got explained in a little more detail which I loved. Also, the past gets revealed in bits and pieces as the mystery surrounding Jolene seems to expand. I better idea about what's going on but it's still chaos and I'm here for it.
Rejected in the Hollow was glorious and I miss the characters already. Not only was there relationship and family drama, a few new players have also made an appearance, like the Fates. Then there was international travel to Istanbul, Prague, Scotland, and more with fancy private jets, beautiful villas, and lush hotels. Plus there was at least one easter egg that I found which reminds me I have to read Cass's other series. I guess that will have to do while I wait on the next book in the Misfit Protection Program, I can't believe where they go next.
Cassandra did it again. I swear this woman can do no wrong. Rejected in the Hollow is another incredible feather she can add to her cap.
I had really high hopes Rejected. Book 1, Road, had a lot going on, there was plot, world building, and mysteries upon riddles. I wasn’t sure if Rejected could keep up the same level of tension. I have never been happier to be wrong. Somehow, as Jolene starts to unravel the mysteries that surround her, new ones pop up to take their place- like a weird, twisted, paranormal version of whack-a-mole. With shifters, fables, fare, and gods popping up along the way it’s amazing out intrepid answer seekers can get anything accomplished.
One of the best things about Cassandra’s writing (and there are lots of amazing things) is her ability to write these incredible, adult, characters. They come to the story as whole people, flaws and all, and work together to overcome obstacles - both natural and supernatural - all while accepting the foibles of others. It’s these grown-up interactions, acknowledgements that no one is perfect and their attempts to do better and be better, that really make them stand out.
Rejected was another fabulous story, with more twists and turns than a maze. Cassandra has done an incredible job weaving together pantheons from all over the world, from the Greeks, the Norse, all the way to the Irish, taking bits and pieces from everything to create this world, rich in history and details. The best part is all the subtle references to her other series if you pay attention.
The other exciting piece is the introduction to the remaining guys who will become part of her harem. In Road, Doyle references a crew of seven, and in Rejected, the remaining three start stepping up and involving themselves more in Jolene’s quest. I find all three of these guys intriguing, almost more so than the first four guys we’ve met. Maybe it’s the mystery that surrounds them? Dhameer and Hugo raise so many questions that need answering and Benjy is just a sweetheart.
Unlike book one, the ending to Rejected didn’t drop us off a cliff, but it left the gate open for some large revelations to come for all our heroes. Now, I just have to figure out how to clone Cassandra so she can write multiple novels at the same time, because I am desperately waiting for the next book in all of her series.
I was really looking forward to the next book in Jolene's series; I absolutely love that woman's spirit and strength, and I can't help but admire her for it. Jolene is like the woman I hope to become someday, even though we're already the same age ;-).
"Rejected in the Hollow" was everything I hoped it would be, and more than I could ever imagine. The plot development in this series is out of this world; I can't imagine how hard it must be to write a book with such an intricate plot and still make it completely understandable to everyone who's reading it. The mysteries and secrets are being slowly (veeeeeeeeeerrrry slowly) revealed, but it's like a puzzle with thousands of pieces and half of them are the same color; you know they will fit together somehow, but every time you think you have it something still feels missing. Or in this case: several somethings ...
Jolene is gathering more and more mates along the way, and I love the differences in relationship building and the past some of these men have with each other while others still need to find their place within the group. It is never easy to give so many men a clear voice and personality in a series, but I believe this author absolutely nailed it. Their parts in this story feel just as important as Jolene's and there aren't many author who manage to do that for so many characters at once.
And last but not least: I adore Jolene's animal companions! I lost one of my own animal companions this week, and reading about the support Jolene gets from them helped me heal a little along the way, and remember everything she added to my life in the years we shared.
I absolutely loved this book, devoured it as fast as I could, and now I can't wait to get my hands on the next part! There is no real cliffhanger in my opinion, just an ending that makes me really looking forward to the next part of their adventure.
Jolene is back in another installment of the Hollow and I couldn’t be happier. I love Jolene and her gaggle of men. Their relationship is #familygoals and I love the different dynamics between the characters—not only Jolene’s relationship with the guys, but the guys themselves opening up and creating their own relationships together. Teddy and Lucy just kill me, they are so sweet and I love Teddy’s dommy side! I love that Jolene is a switch, it makes for some fun pairings!
Unfortunately for the guys, they are in the doghouse. The one thing Jolene hates most is secrets and now that she knows everyone including Seer is keeping them without being able to tell her… let’s just say she’s not happy—that really is an understatement, it’s a good thing they have somewhere to go when she kicks their butts out. This book felt a little slow to me, just because I was hoping we’d learn more about her backstory and more about all the secrets but unfortunately, we don’t learn as much as I wanted to.
That being said, I love this series. If you’ve already started it, it’s a must-read. If you are still on the fence, start with Return to the Hollow and decide for yourself, but it’s really great. If you are a fan of paranormal, poly/why choose, adventure, mystery, smexy times, and more I recommend this series. It’s such a great ride. I’m dying to know what happens next. While the cliffy wasn’t terrible we are still left with so many unanswered questions—I can’t wait to see what’s next for this crew! 💜
Rejected in the Hollow by Cassandra Featherstone was everything and more! Remember that feeling when you're eagerly waiting for a book, and when you finally get it, it blows your mind? Well, this one did just that, leaving me in a state of bookish euphoria. Now that I've devoured it, I'm stuck in the painful wait for the next installment.
So, at the end of the last book, chaos reigned supreme. Jolene was dealing with past trauma triggered by Hollow bullies, and the people she trusted were keeping major secrets. But Jolene is a force, acknowledging her issues and working through them like a boss. I cheered for her vulnerability and strength, especially when she stopped taking crap from the citizens of the Hollow. There were moments when Jolene let them have it, and it was nothing short of amazing.
The relationships got a dose of reality too. Jolene built walls, and her guys, along with Saoirse, had some serious apologizing to do. Props to Jolene for not letting them off the hook easily; they had to work for it. The emotional connections deepened, things got explosively spicy, and stronger bonds formed. Even the relationships between other characters evolved, creating a found family that everyone needed.
The author’s writing is a riot, and I mean that in the best way possible. I laughed and smiled my way through the book. The jokes, pop culture references, and chapter titles (which are all songs) added an extra layer of enjoyment. And the book notes? Total nerd-out moment for me. The characters felt alive on the pages, their banter and connections jumping off the book. The supernatural world's details unfolded gradually, and I loved the chaos and mystery surrounding Jolene's past.
This is book 2 in the series, although there are are also a couple of .5 books so this actually feels more like book 4, and you definitely have to have read the previous books - I've read them, and I still got a little bit lost sometimes with what was going on.
Jolene is still in the dark about what she may be and also what the town is hiding from the outside world. After waking up she is a touch mad with everyone, as expected, but I wish she's held her ground more, she seemed to give in a little too easily.
They are all off on an adventure to find out more info on several different areas, but the story kind of lost me a bit as to why and how it all linked in together. There are till a ton of names to remember for this book so I hope you kept some notes from the last one, especially all the different nicknames everyone has for each other.
I love the style of writing and how the characters interact, with all the banter, it just makes me feel like I've gotten to know them really well.
I've not read a series quite like the Misfit Protection Series, it is rather unique. It's full of some great characters and I'm really enjoying the mystery that surrounds the Hollow. We as readers are still kept mostly in the dark and I'm looking forward to finding out the whole story and how Jolene fits in.
Cassandra's latest entry into the Misfit Protection Program continues nearly exactly where the omnibus left off. Jolene is furious, betrayed, and still so desperately clueless, I'm ready to scream at my pages. This cluelessness hides the true intentions and reasons behind her men and friends seeming to not share information she needs to pick up the pieces of her life, and the mistrust and misunderstanding strikes hard. Cassandra wrote some great grovel scenes with Teddy, Prez, Wolfie, and Doyle, and the desperation is hung in the air as they are bound and tied by the rules, yet straining against them to loop Jolene into their confidence.
I enjoyed this installment of the series. There was a lot of character introductions and relationship establishment in the omnibus before this as there is with the beginnings of most series. But here, Rejected in the Hollow started getting us into the meat and potatoes of the plot, but also the interwoven relationships beyond Jolene and her men. The relationships with Hugo, the prince, and Benjy are swirling around Jolene, and the intrigue over Doyle's parentage grows as we start to weed out the possibilities. Wolfie's mother makes a cameo as well, and the cross references to Cassandra's other books and series kept my eyes flying and pages turning.
Oh man this book took me for a ride, there was so many twists, unexpected turns, secrets, and so much more. Everything is a mess, Jolene’s past trauma is triggered by the bullies, and when that happens. It’s revealed to her that the people she’s finally opened up to have been keeping secrets.
I loved how Cass wrote Jolene, even though she has past trauma, and a few things to work through. She’s able to work through her issues, and grow! And grow she did, I loved the moments when she was going back at people, heck yeah! I’m here for that. I also loved that she is both strong and vulnerable, after going through everything she’s staying true to who she is.
Jolene also doesn’t let those who’ve betrayed her off easy, and I was happy for that. They all need to work for her trust back, and even though no relationship can be perfect, if everyone can work towards being honest it’ll work! And I’m glad to see the progression emotionally and 🥵 too 😉. I can’t wait to see how things progress even more in the next book.
The paranormal world that Cass built is so awesome and different! I like that everything isn’t revealed at once, it’s peeled slowly like layers. We also get snippets of the past, so the mystery of Jolene starts to come to light.
I can’t wait to see what is in store next for these amazing characters!
Twists and turns! This is cleverly written in that it balances dropping half answers throughout the book and then inciting more queries 😆 After the betrayals in the previous book, Jolene is questioning her relationships and what she’s even doing back in the Hollow 😥 but as people keep dropping hints that all is not what it seems she realises she might need her mishap family around her, especially when she begins to question her own health/sanity and things start to get freaky 😳 Her mission to find out answers regarding her parents death takes her jet setting across Europe, and lo and behold her harem of men join her including the ones who are just starting to realise their connection and involvement 😍😍 I love the camaraderie between the men and the way they handle each other especially with the mishaps and near slips 😆 there are also some HAWT scenes 🔥🔥 which also adds to the mysteries…. Can Jolene actually get here answers or is she being sent on a wild goose chase?!?! It’s an intricate plot with lots going on so you do have to give your full attention to this book but it is worth it! *RH *PNR *multi-pov *fast burn 🔥 high spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ *building harem (7) *unknowing FMC *prophecy/quest like *2/?
Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, I'm begging of you please don't take my man .... Nah, she doesnt need to she has 7! That is one big harem! Plus with multiple animal companions she is certainly one busy girl! I enjoyed the previous books but this is a series that really does get better as it goes on. The characters are evolving so much and it is steeped in mystery, there are still so many secrets to be uncovered and puzzles to be solved. I love Jolene's friendship with Seer and to be honest I would love it if the author did some prequels of their escapades in the past, it would be such fun to read! Jolene herself is an amazing character. She makes me laugh, she isnt a pushover and has been through so much but is still standing despite what she has been through. Mmmm and the men .... I envy Jolene. Hugo and Dhameer seem to be a little on the outskirts of the group though, but that is possibly as they have only recently joined the crew so to speak. I'm thinking, and hoping they come in little more in the next book and I'm looking forward to finding out more about the secrets of Whistler's Hollow
Rejected in the Hollow is book 2 by Cassandra Featherstone and like the others, it suck me in from the beginning.
💜 strong, sassy, take no 💩 FMC 💜 men, men, and more men 💜why choose 💜 groveling 💜 mystery 💜 shifters, mages, Demi-gods, djinns, etc (oh my!) 💜 lovable companions 💜 🌶🌶🌶🌶 spice
Jolene continues to be our sassy, smart, takes no prisoners, and puts up with no 💩 FMC. She also keeps collecting men like some of us collect favorite book boyfriends and I’m not mad at her about it. We pick up right where the last book left off. And Jolene is no closer to finding out any answers to her mysteries. We continue to follow her and her men through this book as she tries to untangle the mysteries that are surrounding her life.
Can she find the answers she needs? How many men will ensue end up with in her family?
I can not wait until the next book comes out. I was so engrossed in this book, that I turned the page expecting the next chapter only to find it was over. So, I recommend this book and totally can’t wait for the next one. Officially counting down the days for the next one to come out.
I must admit this is the third book in the series and I haven't read the first two. And I was a bit lost without the background. With that told, I found this to be a great story and definitely will go back to the beginning. This story continues after the damage and betrayal in the second book and the mystery continues. Jolene is working hard to overcome her problems and her boys and Saoirse have a lot of grovelling to do. Unfortunately, they are restricted in how much they can say. Talk about stuck between a rock and a hard place Our author had fun writing this book I think, with all the fun interactions between characters and only feeding us tidbits. Jolene's 'family' is healing, getting closer , steamier, traveling, and expanding though it will take some time for Jolene to trust her 7 mates and her best friend. As our author carefully, almost answers questions, more come to light. She also does an amazing job with the 7 mates and we learn more about each of them , their relationship with Jolene and with each other. Can't be easy juggling so many characters so well. Start from the beginning and enjoy.
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "REJECTED IN THE HOLLOW" This was quite the mysterious adventure you can't put down full of secrets buried in the town of Whistler's Hollow, unanswered questions lead to more mystery to be solved, so many twists & turns it's a page turner to the end. Jolene returns to Wusters Hollow looking for answers about her parents murder, who covered it up & why, what were they involved in, why can't she remember most of her childhood. Jolene is a great character who has so many supernaturals vying for her attention her harem of men her BF Saoirse all try to help her solve this mystery along the way will she attract more men add them to her already long line up. I definitely recommend to get this amazing rollercoaster ride intense adventure so well worth the read you so won't be disappointed. I'm so looking forward to the next book in this amazing series "REVEALED IN THE HOLLOW" can't come soon enough I want to know what going to happen next. AWESOME ADVENTURE!!!!
After a lot of secrets were revealed in the last few books can Jolene find out what actually happened to her parents. Jolene is determined to get the answers she seeks no matter what the cost is. I love the fact that their is a playlist for each book and all you need to do is click the link. Jolene blows up with her guys but eventually she starts to forgive but not forget about why. The secrets just aren’t going anywhere and that is getting to Jolene more and more. Her episodes are getting more frequent as well, I wonder how long it will take her to emerge and what sides she will have and how many. This book is also done in MPOVS which is fantastic. Her guys still want to just tell her everything but they are can’t and it is getting to them more and more. Ohh the end of this book was amazing Jolene heard something she wouldn’t of and then it just finishes so glad it wasn’t a major cliffhanger but one all the same. Really can’t wait for the next book in this series
JOlene is absolutley pissed off after she wakes up from the after math of the ball. Shes been betrayed by everyone she holds dear. She knows they know stuff and they arent telling her. The bad thing is they cant tell her or they’ll suffer consequences . They’re just as hurt as she is that they cant tell her. It’s causing her some trust issues. She’s still digging in and trying to find answers to what’s happened to her parents. So her and the guys are on an adventure to Istanbul. and a mysterious group will stop her her from getting them. She’s been slowly getting memories she didnt used to have. And 3 of here sides are starting to slowly peek their heads out. Ohh this book we get to meet new people… Like Wolfies mother who needs a swift kick to the tushie. We learn even more about Jolene like one big shocker…you have to read to find out… but it will blow your mind. We end with them traveling to FAERIE to find some answers an Wolfies father.
C.F written such Amazing books i loved her book rejected in the hollow I love following jolene in her journey and i loved to read her growth as a character…. I just really love the Way this author writes… all the books she writes is always soo good and always keeps me on my toes… the Way she writes is soo intresting.. i have loved all the books i have read by her… i love Reading jolene’s story and i love watching her realstionship with the guys grow stronger and stronger…. i really loved the twist and turn…This really Kept my interest the whole Way and i really loves this book…this book was freaking good.. I’m so exicted to contuine Reading jolene and the guys journey and What the author comes up with… I highly recommed that people read her book rejected in the hollow and if you haven’t read this book yet Then What are you waiting for you are really missing out on something…you wil def not regret giving this book a chance
Jolene is awake and she wants answers, yesterday. Unfortunately, all she’s getting is half-answers and, “We can’t tell you,” “We’re bound by ancient laws,” blah blah blah. Reeling from the reemergence of her greatest betrayal, Jolene doesn’t know how to process what the men she’s let past her walls and her best friend have done.
Determined to find answers about her parents, Jolene begins planning, and as she does runs across some familiar faces who are willing to help. Stern words and hard truths help Jolene realize that the family she is building is worth fighting for, even if she has to swallow the evasive lies and dodgy answers they have to give her.
After a tumultuous meeting with Wolfie’s bio mom, the sextet sets out to see if they can kill a couple birds in one go, but Jolene’s ears are playing tricks on her. Prez didn’t say what he did about their destination, did he?
I just finished this book, and I so want to read the next one. I can’t say too much about this because I don’t want to spoil it, but what I can say is that this is just as well written as the previous ones. Poor Jolene is put through the wringer in the last book, and she is dealing with that in this one. Not only that, her poor mates and friend can’t make her feel much better about what happened. I am so anxious for things to improve on some fronts, and for them all to discover what’s going on. I love how the author is balancing all this on a razor’s edge, and she’s still making it fun and exciting. Great installment to this wonderful series. Highly recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.
We are getting closer to Jolene learning who she really is, and the truth about the world around her, but we're not there quite yet. Little things are happening, causing her to have some doubts, but she continues to brush it off so she doesn't sound crazy. The men in her life are trying their best to not divulge information they are forbidden to, but it's getting harder by the day.
I am enjoying the way the story is slowly unfolding, and I like that we get chapters from each men's point of view, as well as Jolene's. It's good to see how they are coping with it all, and what they're going through too.
I can't wait to see how it all plays out in the next book, after that little bit at the end. Looking forward to it!
So after the “incident” at the hall Jolene finally comes back to consciousness. But boy she is mad!!! She finds out that all her men, as well as her best friend, have been keeping some major secrets from her. Slowly she starts to work through her trust issues and she starts to recognise flashes from her past memories coming to light. Determined to find out what happened to her parents and what’s going on with her now she searches out the answers.
The writing flows so well and you are engrossed the entire time. The wit and banter that is key to our FMC is spectacular and done with finesse. The characters are constantly growing and learning as each book passes. I love seeing the growth process and I can’t wait to see what happens next!
Jolene and her guys, wow, I missed them but I'm happy to say that Rejected was wonderful. Not that I doubted it would be! Jolene herself is a beautiful soul wrapped up in a beautiful package, with southern sass in spades! She also has tact and is able to control her temper, most of the time! So will her guys be forgiven? Will there be more guys added to her line up? Sorry, I cannot say because that would be spoilers! But there is a wonderful amount of steam, banter (oh Teddy! He's Def my fave) heartfelt conversations that make your heart melt and a wonderful pantheon of gods, creatures and whatever else you can possibly imagine. Pure gold, love this series, these characters and this author!
After the ending to the last book, I've been dying to see where Athena and her growing troupe will end up, and this doesn't disappoint.
I love the way the different threads are all coming together, we still have lots of questions we want answered - as does Jolene. If anything, the more she looks for answers, the more questions she finds. But, she's learning to forgive and trust, which from what we know of her past, is hard.
For a book with so many different main characters, the fact that each of the guys stands out as unique is brilliant.
So we end with everyone heading off to various places, and hopefully some answers. Can't wait for the next book!
I was so eager and looking forward to the next book in Jolene's series that I completely devoured it. It was so worth the wait. This was quite the mysterious adventure you can't put down. So many secrets buried in this town plenty of unanswered questions many twists & turns present themselves and at time I'm a bit lost and confused about what going on. But I can't say that I'm unhappy about it. I'm so enjoying this rollercoaster of emotion that this series is taking me on. Can't wait for the next book in the amazing series. As always my reviews are totally voluntarily and no monetary compensation was received and the opinions I have expressed are completely my own.
This series just gets better and better(and it was pretty fantastic from book 1). I have been anxiously awaiting this book, since that cliffy in book 2, and It. Did. Not Disappoint! Loved every minute of this book. Jolene is absolutely the best, I mean she orders matching Sherpa-lines pilot jackets for her animal companions!! I love her so much! We get a little more insight to two of her newer male “companions” and they fit perfectly with the others, even though they are all so radically different from one another. There is still so much to find out and I am now anxiously awaiting the next book. I cannot recommend this series enough! It is amazing!!!!
Jolene is finally waking up and demanding answers but of course those who are close to her and should give her answers say they can’t. Which is actually starting to drive me a bit crazy. And there’s that whole betrayal that Jolene has to deal with which keeps hurting her. I want to hug her so badly and I’m So curious to find out just what is going on. She’s grown her harem and her menagerie of animals which I adore. She’s got some seriously struggles ahead of her and gets some tough truths told to her which she didn’t necessarily want to hear but needed to. I definitely need the next book and am so excited to find out just what is going on and why.
Part of the Misfit Protection Program this installment is an entertaining page turner that doesn’t disappoint. Jolene is awake and wanting answers that she is determined to get one way or another. The family that she has gathered around her are tight lipped about what they know. Jolene is frustrated that Benjy, Doyle, Edgar, Prez, Saoirse, and Wolfie aren’t helping when they have some of the answers. With all the secrecy and pain of betrayal can she still uncover the mysteries she came to find out? This story has drama, twists, mystery, secrets, and an emotional rollercoaster of an adventure. It has left a lot of questions that I hope to get answers to in the next book.
