Senior year was supposed to be normal, like all the others. Instead I met them, five guys who became the center of my universe. Our friendship grew but so did my feelings. What should I do when I could never choose?
She’s our fated mate but she doesn’t even know about supernaturals. We know she’s something, but we aren’t sure what. We have to gain her trust before we can reveal everything.
*This is a medium burn, paranormal, reverse harem, meaning she doesn’t have to choose and book one in the series. The story changes POVs between the main character and her men. The steaminess factor will go up as the series goes on and is intended for 17+. This is 30,000 words and ends on a minor cliff hanger*
I feel a little guilty writing bad reviews based on the author’s writing quality. However, the writing quality of this book is really, really bad. Imagine if a 17- to 18-year-old girl who has yet to graduate high school wrote a book and posted it on WatPad. This would be that book.
The sentences are extremely short and simple. The writing is missing descriptive words and character. When I say the sentences are simplistic, I mean they’re like this:
“I picked up the brush for my hair.”
“I walked down the street.”
“I love my dog, Bailey.”
Half the sentences start with “I”‼️
I don’t usually point out writing issues or terrible grammar. If the story is good enough, I can overlook a lot. I was unable to ignore the writing in this book. It was painful to read. I won’t even point out all the different ways the characters speak like 16-year-old girls text. “Ya,”… I hate that word. You’re missing several letters from the intended ‘yeah.’
I spent so much time cringing through the painful sentences and dialogue that I could barely finish the story.
The characters were all one-dimensional and didn’t have personalities. The author used the usual tropes for male main character personalities: the shy nerd, the mean guy, the boss, and the flirt. She also gave us an array of supernaturals as MMCs: the wolf shifter, the dark fae, the light fae, and the demon. We also have the fated mate trope. The required twin trope, too. That’s the extent of the male main characters' identities. The FMC has a short backstory, but her personality is also shallow and dull.
The entire world, the story, and the relationships are boring and lackluster. There is no excitement, no world-building, no descriptions... Reading a whole book like this is awful!
The premise and plot would have been exciting and fun to read if the execution had been better. I like the ideas behind this book. I might try to read the next book in this series and hope the author has improved her writing.
This was more like a rough draft than a completed book. There were info dumps rather than storytelling or world building, absolutely no character development and technical issues were everywhere. The relationship building was attempted but failed. The language throughout was stilted and the dialogue didn't flow for supposed college students. The plot was one that has been overdone, so it needed something special to stand out.... sadly, this book lacked anything unique or superbly handled to set it apart.
The concept of the book sounded interesting but I didnt like how it was executed. The dialogue was just odd and it felt very insta-love which makes sense because they are “mates” but I never actually sensed a connection between them. If anything, Jeremy was the most interesting because he was trying to fight it. Also, the cliffhanger?? It did make me want to read the next book
Other than that, I didn’t really care for these characters. Their dynamic did not win me over at all ❌

Really weird sentence structures that broke up the flow of the book. Kinda juvenile writing and a lot of repeated words. I also am not a fan of the guys POV being so soon in a book, I prefer theirs being once every 5-6 chapters and not every other chapter. We hadn’t even really gotten to know anything about the main character except she “took shots like a pro” by coughing a lot after them and that she’s in college. Also who cries their first night of college??? Like.. aren’t you supposed to be happy?
I hated this book so much I started doing homework :/
The start to a reverse harem story about a college girl (or university - I can't tell if this is British or American school) meeting five guys at a club who happen to all be mated together. It is so short we don't learn much at all. The lead girl - Aly - thinks she is 'generically pretty' and is getting a degree in computer science so smart and 'hot', there is a best friend - Anna - who is a bit of a d*ck, but the only girlfriend she has. Typical jealous girl - Katie - who hates her and who stole her bf last semester/year (he cheated on her) and Katie is jealous of Aly, as five gorgeous guys are giving Aly attention instead of her.
The gentlemen are all supernaturals- There's the lovable character (a wolf/shifter called Jay), the leader (Nicoli, the Mage), the flirty one (Kiran - one of the twins and somehow a different species to his identical twin, one of them light-fae [Ajax, I think] and one of them dark-fae [Kiran] - they seem to be like a siren by gaining power/feeding on emotions bad or good), the quiet one (the other twin - Ajax he is the cutest one), the grumpy ass-hat who wants nothing to do with his 'fated mate' (Jeremy - he is a demon and was hurt by a previous woman so his fated mate can 'never' be trusted - yawn). The story is really only just starting and ends abruptly leading you onto the next book which I hope is better. If you want a quick story with sexual tension, that is easy to read (really easy to read) and you're not too fussed about plot/character development etc. It is a very quick Sunday afternoon read. Very fast pace with very short chapters.

This was a pretty short book. Hm i have mixed feelings, it´s an alright book. There was nothing new really, we have the group of guys, the nerdy one(Ajax), grumpy one who ofc is being an ass to the heroine Aly cuz of how he was hurt in the past(Jeremy), the funny goofy one(Kiran), the leader sort of(Nicoli) and the guy who is in the middle i guess(Jay). Cliche as fuck, but nothing wrong with that there is a lot of books which use this kind of build up. I feel the most intrigued to get to know who Aly really is, her secrets that she don´t even know herself, the guys families and more backstory like her friends are some of they also a supernatural??
For being such a short story, this was (surprisingly) very slow burn. I am also assumimg I know the big revelation, because the setup was prett predicatble. But it was fine and a quick read, expecting book two to have more things happen.
Very wattpad-y. There’s a lot here that should have been edited out and other stuff that needed way more details. Everything moves so quickly. As soon as they tell her they want to share her she’s already on her knees ready to suck dick. It’s super insta and super fast. They’re all fated mates so I expected some level of instaness but this was too fast for me.
I grabbed this one because it was recced as a good PNR RH but we get very little PNR-y stuff. The stuff we did get, especially at the end, I really did like though.
I honestly puisne put it down u til the very last word, I was completely captivated. The story is written was such detail and emotion, you just fall into the storyline. The twists and suspense are fantastic, add in the sexual tension and how possessive the hot AF guys are. Overall a great read and I can’t wait to read more of this series
this was really good for a new authors book and i can definitely see where it’s going. it does have it moments where it felt a bit repetitive but i do think it would end up being an enjoyable series to read
This reads like a HS romance. Very juvenile and doesn't have that much depth to it. Feels like it was a Wattpad story. You don't feel the connection to the characters or to eachother. Might continue 🤷🏻♀️
This is the first book in a supernatural reverse harem novella series and my gosh is it cute. This one doesn’t have much spice, but I enjoy all the relationships between all the characters. It’s a five to one scenario which I think is the biggest reverse harem to date. It’s a quick read, not a lot of in depth detail but it has intrigued me. Enough so that I am powering onto the next one!
The characters in this book could have had a bit more development. This book was a good concept but felt a little flat. It really needed to be fleshed out a bit more.
don't know my opinions on paranormal romances I wasn't really sure how I was gonna feel about this but I don't know if it's because the book is really short that I was able to stick with it but I don't hate it I really don't hate it I'm not I'm not mad about it also I know this might be like nitpicky but I don't think I like paranormal romances when it's everybody has the same power she's got a dark fate a light Fais a wolf shifter a demon and a mage and I am here for the diversity could definitely be a lot more details in this book though and all of the guys in her little reverse harem they all sound like Chad's if I'm being honest kyles maybe all of the descriptions of all of the guys is very similar let me just put it that way
This had some fun tropes/elements and was close to what I was looking for. The writing took me a moment to get used to, the voices didn't feel distinctive enough for my preference and I would have liked more pages to better flesh out the world and the charaters. Despite that, I enjoyed the premise and had a good time reading this book.
Aly is starting her senior year at Brisckstone university. She’s at a bar when she encounters Jay, a hot new transfer, and Jay’s friends. Jay and his friends are all supernaturals. Each one is a different supernatural being and when they touch Aly they realize she’s their mate. They are all excited by the prospect except for Jeremy, who is a total ass (a girl hurt him in the past and he’s resistant to getting into a relationship). Aly doesn’t know that she’s their mate, and doesn’t respond, but the guys are pretty sure she is some sort of supernatural being, they just don’t know what kind. They form a friendship with Aly and eventually the friendship leads to sexual relations with two of the group. When they cross that line they decide to tell Aly that they are supernatural beings AND mates. They invite Aly over and break the news to her only to realize she has a memory charm imbedded into her blood making her forget her supernatural roots. They try to break the charm but when they realize that it’s not working Jeremy uses his blood to break the spell and in doing so bonds Aly to him. That’s how book one ends.
**THOUGHTS/SPOILERS**
So, I’m annoyed I spent money on his book. It would’ve been a little better, just a little, maybe…if it was a kindle unlimited and free, but it’s definitely, definitely not worth paying for.
The book is way too short, even for the first in a longish series. It literally dives headfirst into Aly meeting a bunch of supernatural guys who know they are her mates but she doesn’t. There is no buildup, no world building, no real depth of background regarding the guys supernatural roots, nothing. The guys just state that they are supernaturals and that’s it. It’s very bland and unsatisfying. The pace of the book is ridiculous, it reads at breakneck speed and has NO depth. The writing “tone” of the book is incredibly juvenile. I’m serious, it reads like a bad English middle school student wrote it. The characters are SENIORS in COLLEGE but sound (due to the tone of the writing) like they are freaking 13 - at best. These are supposedly 21 year olds, but read like 13 year olds, which makes the sex scenes incredibly weird and awkward. The sex scenes are also poorly written. Very stilted, awkward and frankly NOT sexy at all. The fact that Aly just jumps into a friendship and sex with multiple guys so quickly is ridiculous- especially since she doesn’t know she’s a supernatural being, or that she’s the mate of multiple men. I mean did she grow up in a “free love” commune, lol. She just accepts that she’s being “shared” just like that. It’s weird and totally unrealistic given the “set up” ie the fact that she thinks she’s human, AND she only dated one guy at a time in the past. Jeremy is a dick, and treats Aly like dirt for the entire book but willingly gives her blood at the very end and bonds her?! WTH?! Again, unrealistic and ridiculous. The entire book was silly, and very poorly written…and juvenile, oh, so juvenile!! Ugh. Can’t believe I was swayed by all those positive reviews to purchase this tripe!
While the story didn't stray from the common supernatural academy tropes, it was still an enjoyable read. We have a mysterious MFC, who may or may not be supernatural, meet her 5 fated mates at a college bar. They recognize that she doesn't understand who they are so they develop a strategy to get to know her and ease her into the whole supernatural and fated mates world.
There were a couple things that kept it from being a four star read for me: 1. The pacing seemed off. The author would do a day or two then it would skip a month. Page did keep this pattern throughout, but it was weird. 2. Missed opportunities? There were points in the book that the drama or angst could have been ratcheted up a notch and it could have made all the difference. 3. Needed an editor or a better editor. I usually roll my eyes when reviews start going off about editing, but this book had a lot of really simple errors. Ex. Words that were typos. Like it said something like "I agreed with here" obviously it meant to say "I agreed with her". This happened more than a few times.
This is an engaging premise and I'm eager to learn more about the characters but, and this might just be a me thing, but I am having problems telling whose talking as the author is repeating speech patterns and word choices for all the characters.
An example would be the word 'ya'. By the end of the book I was so damn sick of that word. For me, a key to great characters is when they have unique characteristics be it in their speach, behaviors or dress. Not everyone talks the same, some use more formal words, avoid contractions while others might use slang liberally or any variation or a mish-mash.
Again, I get that this might be a super picky me issue but I think it bears passing along for other readers who might feel the same way.
Another thing was the time skips. The first jump was jarring, they'd just met and instead of getting to see them fumble about, we've jumped a month ahead. By skipping so much of bonding period we never really get to see the relationships, trust and comfort levels develop which forces more weight onto the fated angle, making it feel.more artifical than built on real sentiment.
I think the next book will either make or break the series for me.
Its not the most dramatic book ever written.. To me, Found is well written. Not much action in book 1. The author is setting up the characters, the rules, boundaries and game on. Girl meets boy and boy and boy and boy and boy. Well they are all young adults, seniors in college. The author steers toward the gist of the story, the five hotties are supernaturals. Nic, a mage, is the leader of the "pack" because they have grown up together since childhood, with the blessings it seems, of their parents. The twins, Jax and Kieran are faes. Jay, the lone wolf and Jeremy, a demon. The guys just moved to Brickstone University. At the university bar, they all meet and the magic begins. The five supernaturals all find Aly as their fated mate. Friendship then romance begins. They are going to tell Aly about wanting to share her as a reverse harem mate but they have to let her know they aren't exactly human. So ends book 1.
Starting off, I like our FMC, I love that the majority of the boys are marshmallows and even though Jeremy is standoffish, he doesn’t come across as an asshat.
I love multiple POVs. ESPECIALLY WHEN THE MEN ARE MARSHMALLOWS. Uh, just adorable.
Aly starts another year of college and ends up meeting 5 guys who she is oddly drawn to. The new guys have been friends since they were kids and all are of different paranormal entities. They find that they are all fated mates to the girl they meet at the bar.
I am a huge fan of fated mates. I like a little bit of angst and I really like to see the guys allowing the girl to warm up to them.
Spice escalated quicker than I would have liked. I am a fan of a slow burn but that is in my personal preference. Ended in a bit of a cliffhanger and now there are questions that I need answered.
I always hesitate to critique someone's work but I feel it's important to provide some constructive feedback. Unfortunately this story was a DNF for me. I struggled getting through the first few chapters, skimmed a few more, and then decided to let it go.
This book would greatly benefit from an experienced editor. The writing style was not very mature, there were some grammatical errors, redundancy, and issues with sentence structure which were glaring and a huge distraction. The book just did not connect with me. If the author considered taking this down and uploading a more edited and mature version, I would be willing to read and modify my review. For now, I won't continue the series.
I enjoyed the interesting new take on the supe races.
I wouldn't call this book medium burn. It was more slow burn. The Characters are shifter, demon, mage, light and dark fae. So only missing a vampire. Jokes. Aly is a lonely girl who is in need of some love and attention. She meets 5 gorgeous guys and all but 1 gives her that.
No one knows what Aly is but she isn't human. She has a spell on her that doesn't allow her to notice anything that is supernatural. I look forward to seeing how the guys and Aly get along now that the spell has been lifted.
I didn't fall instantly in love with the characters but it was a well written and interesting story.
I LOVEEEEE IT. people say it's kind of wattpady and I totally understand that. fortunately, I love wattpad 🤗
the chemistry, the tension, the relationship building is amazing. each one has specific type of adoration to fmc and im obsessed. the space is greate, not too slow or too fast either.
minus one star cause sometimes the fmc acts kinda out of place. cant guess her next moves kinda thing.
cant wait to read next part as im anticipating how aly and jeremy's relationship turns out. also what her secrets? are her parents even her real parents? i wanna know 🥹
i think reverse harem might be my favorite trope 🫶🏻 just start seriously reading this year and lovin it so far
I took a chance in this, it popped up on my list and the summery sounded good so I downloaded it. The start is slow and not that engaging. I mean, she’s a senior in college but the way that the author wrote the FMC is as if she’s a Freshman or maybe sophomore… by the way she’s described. It’s routine in the beginning. The best part of this whole book is the ending I think. Not sure if I want to continue with this series but good luck to the author. Overall it was ok.
Ok, I just found this series and plunged in. Like our FMC I can't even recall how I found it but am so glad I did. This is only the first book and I'm hooked. Yes I like a lot of the academy storylines. Everyone seems to now do monster themed and while I'm addicted to why choose or reverse harems , sometimes I don't want monsters, or mafia or MC's. I've read them but I still look for the academy types. Lucky me finding this. It may seem a little too sweet but it's just right for me. I think you'd like it also.
I apparently tried reading this before. I apparently DNF’d this book previously at 9%. I made it to 13% this time. I’m leaving a review so that next time I’ll be able to save time and just delete it again. Glad it’s on KU. Ha. I guess they’re supposed to be college age, but you couldn’t tell. I swear they were 14 year olds with fake IDs. I also don’t like the writing style itself. Just not for me. Maybe when the author gets through puberty she can rewrite it for adults.
This book was really good. It was funny how they were worried how she would react, and she was worried how they would react about sharing. Communication is the best policy. Then when they tell her about supernaturals they realized that she had a memory charm. It made sense as to why she kept forgetting things and didn’t push on questions she had. I’m guessing she is a hunter, I wonder why her parents or aunt never told her. To get rid of the charm and to save her Jeremy had to complete the mating bond with her.

Wow where to start. I found this book randomly on Tiktok, had everything I was looking for fated mates with Rh. And let me tell you I truly enjoyed it.
I have been craving a insta love fated mates book for awhile …. And this one filled that craving quite well. It has multiple POV which I love, different paranormal species and 5 glorious mates for our FMC! I only wish it was longer. I will definitely be on the lookout for book 2
