Sabrina and Luca’s Story!
Hooked on Him overlaps Sweet on Her and shows you a whole new side of Lakeview Prep in this Secret Crush Romance about two people with more alike than they ever knew and how they fill in all the cracks in for each other. For their story and some sneak peeks into Cat and Noah’s happily ever after, be sure to follow up with this one! (I strongly recommend reading Sweet on Her before enjoying book 2 of the Lakeview Prep Duet.)

Sabrina
I’ve become an expert at blending in, observing but never participating, trying to be invisible. I don’t even mind it at this point, I’m different from these kids, and that suits me just fine. If you knew them like I do, you wouldn’t want to be like them either. I walk into my senior year as excited as all the years before, which is not at all. I have to focus on boosting my college applications and unfortunately, that means stepping out of the shadows for the first time in my life. All of a sudden, I have a whole group of friends, new experiences, and the confidence to get what I want.
Just when I think life has taken a turn for the better, the broody boy I never thought would ever see me seems to be everywhere. His words are everything I ever dreamed of, but his actions say otherwise. If he’s as shallow as it seems, he’s not the one for me and that’s okay. I don’t hate him. He is who he is, and that’s none of my business. I need to focus on the good and keep close to the people that appreciate me. So that’s what I’ll do.
But why does it seem like he's watching me?

Luca
I’m a stalker. I’ve become a stalker...
I noticed Sabrina Trevor my first day of school here in eighth grade and never forgot her. She was being picked on and I couldn’t stomach her sad expression so I stepped in hoping to help. She ran off crying and never spoke to me after that. I doubt she even remembers, but I do. I've kept an eye on her from time to time, but now I can't help but watch her, wishing for more.
After a turn of fate, she seems to be calling to me like a siren and I can't get her out of my mind. She tries her best to be completely invisible from afar, but up close, she’s gorgeous. Her angelic face is enough to bring a man to his knees if he was smart enough to look closely. But she is too good for me, too innocent, too perfect. The last thing she needs is a guy like me tainting her with all of my secrets and lies.

But he has no idea I have secrets of my own. I have been hooked on him since the day we met, and fate always finds a way.

🟥🟥🟥🟥🟥🟥MAJOR SPOILER FOR READERS WHO ARE BOTHERED BY .....THIS- THE HERO , LUCA MET SABRINA FOR THE FRIST TIME WHEN BOTH ARE IN 8TH GRADE , SABRINA IS SHY GIRL , AND LUCA IS DOMESTICALLY ABUSED , HIS MOM IS A DRUNKARD , SO HE IS PRETTY CUT-OFF FROM THE WHOLE WORLD.

LUCA AND SABRINA REMAIN IN THE SAME SCHOOL TILL GRADUATION , WHILE SABRINA REMAINS A VIRGIN , LUCA SLEEPS WITH OW DURING THIS TIME. HE DOES NOT LOVE ANY OF THEM AND THE OW DO APPEAR SEVERAL TIMES TO CAUSE DRAMA IN THIS BOOK.

ALTHOUGH THEY DON'T EXACTLY CROSS PATHS , SABRINA WATCHES HIM ALL THESE YEARS from afar , AND HE IS NOT WITH ANY OTHER GIRL IN PUBLIC , HE ONLY FUCKS THEM AND THEN LEAVES , SO NO PDA OF HERO IS THERE WITH ANY OW IN FRONT OF THE HEROINE.

FOR FURTHUR SPOILERS , SCROLL TILL THE END.

😟😬😚 Mixed opinion-

👎I will admit , I liked this book less because I think , the author feels that the hero SHOULD MOST DEFINITELY BE EXPERIENCED , and the h SHOULD MOS DEFINITELY BE VIRGIN.

👎If we compare this one to Book#1 , Cat is a newbie , so it's understandable that Noah wasn't a virgin ,because he would have been a virgin if he had known cat since childhood.

👎BUT , in THIS book , Luca HAS known Sabrina since they was in 8th grade , he STILL chose to fool around with OW.

👍Now , there's nothing wrong with him , he is charming , OTT , jealous , and EVERYTHING! But ....... yeah it REALLY bothered me he wasn't a virgin too.

👎He himself confessed , that he has been watching Sabrina from afar , protecting her , but he made his move ONLY because Noah got together with Cat. So , I feel like HIM being with Sabrina is ONLY because of #CatNoah and not because he HIMSELF did it.

*️⃣Also , he said that , he never made his move because he didnt want sabrina to know hoe fucked up he is because of his home life.

👍I could TOTALLY see my self sympathizing with him , because his step-father and bio-mom were........ God they were HORRIBLE people. His step-dad beat him to pulp all the time.

👎But , shit man ! That whole v-card thing of hero bothered me a LOT.

☺☺☺Now , Sabrina , God she is SUCH A GOOD ANGEL!

👍Some of you , who are not into h being all emotional and shy , will NOT LIKE THIS .

👍Because Sabrina is a natural people pleaser , she doesn't like it , if people around her are not happy with her.

👍Sabrina's parents........... JUST WOW!!!! God this duet has like the parents from heaven . I am NOT kidding , they were just SO GOOD people .

👍Sabrina's dad , I liked him a LOT . He was so friendly , and still treated Sabrina like she was 10.

Sabrina's parents played a HUGE role in helping Luca , get over his abusive parents.

✅h-Virgin.
✅H-Not virgin.
✅Both 18.
✅Hs sexual history - He has hooked-up with the OW that appear in the book , he does NOT love them , and he NEVER showed PDA in front of the world , he was NEVER SEEN in public with any of them.

✅OM drama? Devin , another jock tries to flirt and touch h SEVERAL times, Luca knocks the day-light out of him.

✅OW drama? 2 cheerleaders CONSTANTLY bullied the h and FLIRTED with the H , the H put them in there place(he has slept with the groupies) .

✅The smut- I would have preferred a couple more scenes , considering the fact that this was....25o pages book.
CONDOMS USED IN EVERY INTIMATE SEEN. MADE THE SCENE DULL.I DONT ACTUALLY REMEMBER THE LAST BOOK WHERE MCs used protection. 🤔
✅No-cheating. No intimacy with OP.
✅Parental ignorance on Hs side.
🟥ON-PAGE HEAVY VIOLENCE AND PHYSICAL ABUSE OF H.
✅HEA.
✅Epilogue-unsatisfactory. they just graduate and move in together. He proposes.
If it makes you feel better, #CatNoah are 6months preggo , at the end of this book.

Hooked on Him de Victoria Stevens Serie Lakeview Prep Duet libro 1

Argumento:

Sabrina

Lucas

“You’ve got me, Luca.” She confirms before leaning forward for a kiss.
I brush my fingers through her soft hair as we press our lips together. My heart squeezes and I feel more at home here than I have anywhere in a long time and I realize it’s her.
Wherever she is, I’m home.”

loved it

I hope this author continues to write these kinds of stories. Nothing against the bully books, but lately it feels like that’s all there is. It’s refreshing & really great to have the guys be good. It’s nice to get a good Knight who’s a little naughty. The girls too are really great. I like they have strength & the friendships.
I also really like the adults are adults. Well the good ones. They aren’t all written as incompetent and absent.
Please keep writing these wonderful books. I like there was darkness, but also hope.
Looking forward to more books by this author.

It's a short book; a quick, fun read.

I loved Luca's character and I liked Sabrina's.

They met in 8th grade, when Luca first moved to school, and ever since they have been infatuated with each other, but never coming close to act upon it. When their respective best friends start dating each other, they grow closer and doesn't take long to realize their love.

Luca has a bunch of skeletons in his closet, but Sabrina is quick to stand by his side.

One thing I liked about this story is that, unlike many high-school romances, where the adults are, at best, oblivious to the kids' struggles, here they get involved, they help and, most importantly, they care.

It is a cute story about first love, with down to Earth characters and a dose of steam.

Leaves You W anting More!

Liked this series so much, I hope Terrance gets his love story. This author is perfection in my opinion. She leaves you wanting more of these characters.

Swoon worthy males characters and coming of age love. Such heartwarming heart felt stories.

Would definitely recommend both books. This one had a bit of drama and a heart aching issue., Coupled with an antagonist that will grind your gears. Of course there is a HEA . Read it! It will not disappoint!

I really loved this story. The characters are so realistic and so is the plot. It’s not over the top or overly dramatic, just real.
My only complaints are that there are quite a few typos, and the dialogue is a bit stiff in places. Teenagers don’t say “I will have to see”, they say “I’ll have to see”, as an example. Otherwise, the writing is great and I’ll definitely be checking out more of this author’s books.

When I wrote Sweet on Her, I was so enamored with the supporting characters of the story that I knew I had to write a continuation for Sabrina and Luca. The main theme I wanted to embark on was the secrets we keep. All of us have had a secret crush, a secret life, or a secret obstacle we face everyday. We all have insecurities and sometimes miss out on experiences that could have been life-changing if we had just had more faith in others and more importantly, ourselves. I wanted to show that we never know what another person is going through unless we open ourselves up to exploring their world. The hot guy that seems untouchable and on top of the world may be going through a life of nightmares. The quiet nerd that no one seems to notice may have a beautiful soul that is stronger and more supported than you could ever hope for for yourself. If we could only delve deeper into the true soul and experiences of the person you looked at from afar, you may find that they are just the one you were made for. For better or worse.
Happy Reading fellow book nerds! Love - Vic
