FANTASTIC story😁😋
This story was absolutely fantastic!!!!. It was so moving, exciting, entertaining and just WOW!!. It has everything and more that you could ask for in a Vamp story. Juliette is a FANTASTIC storyteller and is a PHENOMENAL writer!!.

I am enjoying this series, however after a huge build-up with considerable expectations this book failed to deliver. I expected so much more for/from Ari, as he's an 'original', one of the two first vampires.
This plot was resolved with a test-tube of blood, a threat, and a quick transformation
- easily forgotten after two weeks.
The highlight must have been the trite threesome. (Never thought I'll write those words.)
I really enjoyed the appearance of characters from the previous books and a look at what's happening in their lives.
I'm tethering between 2 and 3 stars on this one.

So many times a book does not live up to your expectations. This book is an exception. It EXCEEDED them for me. I stumbled upon the first two books in this series when they were offered for free. I eagerly bought the rest of the released books in the series as soon as I finished those first two. Thank goodness Juliette can exist on no sleep and has the creative mind able to quickly release new books in this series. Ari’s book was super sexy, and advanced the story of the Moretti universe beautifully. Ari is such a richly deep and wise character, I feel like we will be learning about his many layers for books to come.
I love that the main characters play a vital on-going role instead of vanishing as they do in so many series. Juliette manages to keep these stories focused on the romance of the new book’s central characters while bringing the other main characters along for the ride - just like in real life. Vincent, Brayden, and Craig (plus Kate, Willow, and Brianna) are too much fun and too vital to just ignore.
I am looking forward to the next book in the series - Oliver and Piper’s story, but I am also excited to see how Ari and Sage move forward now that Ari has found his mate. He deserves happiness and to be recognized publicly as an original. I will admit I am a bit worried about the villains’ potential, but I trust there will always be a happy ending. Right, Juliette? Please!?! 😂❤️

"Like, you should be a shriveled mess, you know that, right?"
Ari threw back his head and laughed.
"You can take a closer look when we get home."
Although each book in this series can be read on its own, each book is somewhat intertwined with the next. So if you want the entire overview - without possible spoilers - you should start with book one.
Ari and Sage are two characters you just have to like. Both have their dreams, which they have not yet been able to realize due to external circumstances. When Sage has the opportunity to work on a top secret project, she seizes the opportunity without knowing that she is bringing herself and Ari into an extreme inner conflict.
I thought Craig and Brianna's (#2) story was hot, but Ari tops it a lot. He causes the pages to crackle and burn in some places. His love and loyalty to his vampire race and his extraordinary self-control (I'm just saying Oliver.) are remarkable. Ari *swoon* he's so dominant and sexy but it was his story that made me feel for him. Fifteen hundred years old and single. How come he's never found his mate?
The thoughts he starts to have is heartbreaking and you hope it doesn't happen but during the first part of the book, you begin to worry he might stay true to his word. But then he meets Sage, a stunningly beautiful human who happens to work at the very company he's trying to destroy.
All Sage wanted to do was relax at her favorite bar with a glass of wine and work on her application for the huge promotion that came up at the company she works for. She never planned on meeting someone or bringing him home with her but now she can't get him off her mind.

Vampire: The Original
I couldn't wait for this one! It was just filled with so much good stuff. The biggest being that we get to see much more of Ari and his famous Institute.
But then we also get to watch Ari and Sage's relationship develop... Which is all kinds of hot and super erotic.
For awhile Ari is just messing around until he starts to really realize that she is his mate. At the same time he finds out she works for the evil Pharma Company who has had it out for vamps. She doesn't realize that her new promotion will be for the project that is killing a vamp. Had been for 6 months. When she sees him, she promises to get him out. No one is happier than Ari who now knows he truly loves her.
I don't want to share some of the super excitement of this. And there is alot!
READ! A SOLID 10/10+ Can't wait to find out even more out about Ari & Sage!

the series is ok this book goes off script and disappoints- spoilers alert
The series up till now was ok and I do love the eternal mate theme, The royal family, Brayden and Vincent, now The long lost uncle reappears and the first thing is have an orgy with his colleagues and future mate, so basically it’s a break in the theme and story line, is illogical, has wholes in the story. It is a HEA ending and those of you who love harems and don’t mind the series goes of script may enjoy it. I found it really hard to finish and though I’ve purchased in advance the entire series, I kind of regret it. I did not like willow in the first book and this current book is a disappointment
For all you BDB lovers ( first books) it’s a poor substitute.
I’m giving it 3 stars for effort otherwise I would have given it 2.

Ari has waited a long time for a mate. He has accepted that he won’t get one so when he gets this job done he will end his life. They know a fellow vampire has been captured and someone is doing experiments on him. But they can’t seem to pinpoint where he is exactly. Sage is having issues with her family and her roommate so she goes to the local bar. This is where she meets Ari and Oliver. She is a good girl but she wants more enjoyment out of her life. She is up for a huge promotion at work also. Only the promotion isn’t the wonderful job she expected. Ari is hesitant to accept that she is his mate. But in the end it all works out.

A thrilling, wonderful read, mainly focused on Sage & the fact that a vampire fell in love with her after over a millennium of being on his own. Ari was now feeling all the things his friends & family had.
Sage felt it too. As they say, would she want to go across to the other side? Ari would have to wait to find out.
They both had strong feelings for each other but who's were the strongest & what would it mean.
This was a brilliant read about a human & a vampire who met, & in next to no time fell for each other, so badly it hurt.
They didn't want to be parted.

Hot Hot Hot
Ari and Sages' story was beautiful. Finally after 1522 years, Ari has found his mate. He also reconnected with his Morretti family. Sage was smart intelligent and beautiful. She was everything Ari had spent his long life waiting for. Everyone wants that special someone in their life and some have waited a lifetime. So happy for their hea.
Next to Braden and Willows' story, so far Ari and Sages' story is my favorite. Now if they could just get their hands on Xander Tomassi and Biozen, everyone could maybe get their hea and coexist peacefully.

Ari gets his Hea
I think this has to be my favourite hea in this series yet, Ari isn’t my favourite vampire, but the fact he waited so long made it all the more meaningful….. and they got the vampire out of biozen! She was so brave, so awesome.
I loved Oliver, but hoped for him to give Ari a little more stick haha.
As always, fabulously written storyline, keeping the background story straight and moving along without feeling rushed and forced. The connections between all the different characters is strong and feels very real.

He knows BioGen is behind it but doesn't know about where the lab is or how they are going to rescue the missing vampire. Along comes Sage who works for BioGen. Ari finds himself drawn to her and things that after fifteen hundred years he may have found his mate. He has to bank on her empathy for people who are tortured and help Callan escape. How can they get him away from the humans? That is something that Ari has to figure out.

Ari & Sage - a favorite!
Ari & Sage’s story. While every one of Juliette Banks’ books is my favorite while I’m reading it, 2 of them take stand out : The Vampire Awoken & The Darkest King. Amazing reads and “sexy books” as Sage called them filled with rich characters, intrigue, evil, love, loyalty and commitment.

I think that this book could be my favourite so far as Ari is such a strong character & we get to know so much more about him. Sage is an achiever & with her scientific thinking she asks many questions that I wanted the answer to as well.
Despite being the original & with all of his power Ari has never found his mate. He has been lonely despite his own organisation that he’s built around him. Sage also has been lonely so these two are just so right for each other.
I loved the annoying Piper & can’t wait to see what happens with her!

Another great book in a great series!

Unbelievably GOOD!!!!!

OMG, this is one hot and steamy book. It has mystery, angt, hot sex and romance. This series just gets better with each book. I love that the original characters are still present in each new book. Hope it never ends.
