Reluctantly Saved is the first book in the Her Alien Mate series. It can be enjoyed as a complete standalone but will contain characters featured in future books.

this book has potential but falls flat

So I have a lot of issues with this book. First there is so much telling and not showing. There is a hyper energy about the book that feels ridiculously rushed.

The other problem is there is all this “humor” Except it is not funny because the jokes happen off page rendering the reader confused because there are so many inside jokes that randomly form between the two main characters in what a span of 4 minutes? You have all this real estate and still rushed a relationship and managed to make any important thing happen off screen.

Also other than he is red he is basically human. And a virgin one that somehow miraculously is a god in bed.

While I love fantasy and science fiction.. I cannot suspend my belief that badly. Also please write about humans if your aliens are going to be that human. It’s annoying. You act as if humans and all other species are basically midgets and someone 6’6 is a giant. (I am 5’6 and all my exes are 6’-6’8) They aren’t it’s a bit of a common height on earth so I guess maybe meet more humans.
But what could have been a great book was one that I stopped and refused to finish because I was sick and tired of having NO FREAKING IDEA WHAT THE FMC WOULD JOKE ABOUT WITH THE MMC WHEN IT ISNT HAPPENING ON PAGE.

This sci-fi romance was action packed and started with a bang. The hero was deliciously alpha, but the heroine was definitely TSTL, so that really detracted from my overall enjoyment of the novel. There was plenty of action and danger in the plot to keep the pacing fast, and the romance between the protagonists was spicy. An overall enjoyable read, though mileage may vary for readers in regards to the heroine.

I really enjoy reading this author. This story is quirky, but I couldn’t put it down. Her writing style is fun, but her aliens are bloodthirsty, and her heroines are sassy. A combination that seems to work well for her.

This is a well written book with vivid world building, fab storyline and amazing characters. There’s a range of different aliens and planets and the story is full of action, danger, passion, steamy scenes and much more. I look forward to reading the next book in this series.

Shea works on a space station, her sister also works there but unfortunately when her boyfriend brought a dangerous parasite back with him he passed it on to Bea. Now she’s in a medichamber being kept alive by spiders and antibiotics. When the station is attacked by aliens Shea hides, but when they take Bea’s antibiotics Shea makes the decision to follow them and get them back. She will do anything she possibly can to keep her sister alive. She didn’t bank on getting caught, or being put on an auction block to be sold as a slave. Tris is on a mission to avenge his brother who was murdered. Just when he has Korthos is his sight Shea is brought out to be auctioned and a s’ntoa bond is formed and Tris must do everything in his power to rescue her and protect her anyway he can, resisting the bond leads to pain and his instincts driving him crazy. He has a choice to make, kill Korthos or rescue the female. He rescues her but is furious about it. He takes her to his ship and takes off immediately. When she wakes Cora is surprised and also a little scared. She tells Korthos she needs to get to Bea and he agrees to take her after a little detour. Except when they are there she overhears him telling someone that he lied to her. She runs and is found by Yumi who invites her to join her crew, to see what they do and maybe join for good. Cora agrees and when she is settled in her quarters she finds the orb she took out of some robes back at the auction house. She somehow activates it and it shows a map. She doesn’t realise but she’s now being tracked, the owner of the orb wants it back. Luckily Tris comes to her rescue and they work things out. They eventually make their way to the space station where Beautiful is still alive thankfully. Unfortunately the station captain is not too happy and demands they leave. He agrees to let them stay on for a few extra days if Tris kills Korthos, so he goes to put an end to his nemesis. Meanwhile Bea wakes up, she’s different from before. When Shea and Bea are arrested they find out the captain lied about the extra time. Luckily Tris comes back in time to save her, his species are feared for a reason. Once everything is settled on the station Bea is taken by some cyborgs, a deal she agreed to before being put in the medichamber. Shea is heartbroken, she’s only just got her sister back and it feels like she’s losing her all over again. The cyborgs give her a way to communicate with Bea and they leave. Now that Korthos is dead they can go to Tris’s homeworld to meet his family and lay Korthos’s remains in front of his mum, a tradition of theirs. Shea is nervous, excited and a little scared and is hoping that his family like her. She has nothing to worry about though, they all love her and they live happily ever after.

This is the book I’ve read by this author and I must say I really enjoyed it and all the characters where brilliant but the main two characters Tris and Shea captured my heart with how they want to right the wrongs that have happened. Tris is a Quarisi warrior who has always served and protected but after his brother was murdered his mission is to track down the rogue responsible and he has been through what he calls hell to find him and he does and how he will take his revenge but a females screams and he attention is drawn to her, to save and protect. Saving the human from being sold off he misses his chance to avenge his brother but when he looks at her he knows why she calls to him she is his mate who he wants with a burning desire. Shea sister will die if she doesn’t get her medication but it has been stole by Yevarian outlaws who steal everything not nailed down and as luck would have it they take her sister medicine which now she chasing after them to get it back but she is captured and she screams for help but she chained ready to be sold off at auction but before that happens she is knocked out and comes too with a big red alien standing over her but she is not scared of him like she has been told too should but quite the opposite she feels drawn to this warrior with a desire she doesn’t understand and doesn’t know why until he tells her she is his mate. Do they finish the mission they set for themselves and make things right or do they move forward and let go of everything and work on a future together.

Though the storyline isn’t a new one in the Sci-Fi Romance genre I became thoroughly engaged with this new release from author Annalise Alexis as its characters and world building slowly pulled me in. There is quite a bit of violence related to the male lead Tris who is a Quarisi Hunter which is a trademark of his species. Tris is on the hunt for his brothers’ killer when he comes across feisty human female Shea who is on a rescue mission to retrieve medication stolen by Yevarian’s who’d boarded her space station stealing whatever they could find and that included the medication needed to keep her dying sister alive. While it took a couple of chapters before the story really grabbed me once things started to ramp up, I couldn’t stop reading. The narrative is well written with lots of action and pulse pounding adventure keeping the pace riveting and crackling with energy, scene to scene.
Angst ridden though their first interactions may have been there is a spark that springs up between Tris and Shea that neither can deny as they both navigate the need for each other and the need to complete their respective objectives. The Retribution girls Shea hooks up with for a short time were awesome side characters and I loved their banter with each other and the assignment they were dedicated to.
I found this book to be a very enjoyable read which I will be re-reading again soon while awaiting the next book in the series!

This is an author who is new to me but I would most definitely read again. Shea would do anything for her sister Bea. When Bea's fool of a boyfriend skips the routine quarantine check on his arrival back home, honestly who does that, and manages to give the fatal disease he picked up to Bea, Shea moves heaven and earth to get her into isolaiton where she has the slimest chance of survival.Still a slim chance is better than none, that is untli pirates attack the ship they are on and steal the meds needed to keep her alive. Shea is dtermined to get them back, no matter the cost. What she didn't plan on was getting kidnapped and sold to a cruel sadistic male. She has the vials of meds but absolutely no way out of her situation. Enter Tris who has been tracking his brother's murderer to this very spot and place in time. He is about to exact his revenge when a scream has his single-minded focus turned to the small human female fighting back. His species is known for their bond which springs up when someone is in need of help. They have been used and subsequently reviled for it. It is instinctual and he cannot escape it. He leaves his target to protect her. Will he ever be able to avenge his brother and what is he supposed to do with the small human while he fulfills the requirements of the bond?
I loved the cultures, the descriptions of the planets, the various species and the world building. I would love to know what happens next with his kinsman so I hope that there are more planned.

Tris is a Quarisi on the trail of his twin brother’s murder Krothos. Shea is trying to get back antibiotics stolen from her ship. She needs the antibiotics to save her sister. After being kidnapped and being sold by slavers, Shea is rescued by Tris. The Akor hormone was activated by Shea. He had to give up his chance to find Krothos. He promised Shea to take her and the antibiotics back to her ship to save her sister’s life. But she finds out he is lying to her. She joins others on missions to rescue woman from slavers to get back to her ship. Now Tris is hurting from his activated hormones to save Shea. He decided to go after her instead of chasing Krothos. He followed her across the galaxy to help her.
It is a good story with a hero that must make choices to follow his promise or mate? Plus the heroine is strong and determined.

loved it !! love Tris and Shea... this is their story... a fast paced action packed adventure drama... Tris is on a mission to revenge his twin Rovy, who was tortured and then killed in a most violent way by Krothos ... criminal... Shea is on a mission to save her sister after the space station they are on is attacked... this is were their lives cross... Tris must save her.. s'ntao bond... he was so close... to killing Krothos...he must do this for his mother ... to avenge his twin and so he could finally go home...ish'na'is... an emotional roller coaster ride... how the most feared warrior and how the universe has blackened their reputation...

Shea, the female human lead, is brave, bold, and totally reckless. Tris, the male alien lead, is focused on his family’s vengeance until his pheromones demand he save Shea from a terrible future. Whilst he’s initially infuriated by the situation, he soon learns to value her. She’s just focused on trying to save her sister’s life.

This story is mostly dual POV (occasionally third POV from secondary character who will be lead of next in series), well written, and an interesting, fast moving, action filled, fated mates tale.

Action-Packed . . .

Tris and Shea are both very determined characters who have set goals that they won’t allow anything to interfere with… well, almost anything. Tris, a Quarisi warrior, is hot on the vengeance trail of his brother’s murderer when a stranger’s scream pulls him away. Shea is determined to get back the medicine her dying sister needs to survive. Aliens had boarded the space station to steal anything they could get their appendages on and took the medicine. 3 1/2 Alien Stars....Tris, a Quarisi warrior, is intent on revenge for his brother’s murderer when a scream distracts him from that. Shea is just as determined to recover the medicine her dying sister needs to cure her. But when she is caught trying to grab the medicine and nearly sold off, Tris comes to her rescue. There is crazy chemistry, but they both are on a mission, so decide to work together. The book is full of action, steam, more action, some twists and turns. Over all well paced and free to read with your KU subscription. Enjoy

Great storyline. Plenty of action, vengeance, murder, fear, pain, drama, danger, suspense, and spice. Tris is just about ready to kill the person who murdered his brother. Shea is trying to get the medicine for her sister that was stolen by alien outlaws. Just as Tris is ready to strike he hears Shea scream and ends up saving her. As they both try to finish their missions they and learning to trust their relationship and each other. They learn that they are mates. I enjoyed this story. Will watch for book two in this series.

The ship Shae was on was attacked and raided leaving her dying sister without the medicine she needed. This caused Shae to leave on a pod and track down the aggressors and the medicine. Tris, from Quaris who were feared and hated by most, was in a hunt for his brother’s killer. Shae and Tris ended up on the same planet and his protective instinct erupted to save and protect Shae. The journey that Tris and Shae embarked on led them through danger, death, different planets, enemies, betrayal, lies, love and completion. Fun and exciting

Wow, where to begin without any spoilers........Tris and Shea are the perfect couple that complement each other from top to bottom. I highly recommend this book and think you should take the chance. You will love it and want more. I fought sleep and a migraine to finish this book, that is how good it is. I can't wait to read the next one. I am definitely going to read this whole series! The devotion and love Tris and Shea show each other are epic. They fought for their happily ever after!

I enjoyed this book. It was a fun, action-packed adventure with two strong, driven characters. Tris is a Quarisi warrior hunting down the person who murdered his brother. When the medicine Shea's dying sister needs is stolen by alien outlaws, she is captured trying to steal them back and nearly sold. Just as Tris is about to finally get justice for his brother's death, he hears Shea's screams of fear and pain and instinct pulls him away to save her instead. This story was engaging from the start- full of danger, action, and suspense. Great world building. I liked the characters. 4 stars.

Stars!

I loved it! Shea and Tris were adorable together and the world building was imaginative and different. With a lot of action, some of it gross and violent I just kept turning the pages. The steam was off the charts and the dialogue was often comical between the main characters. There were secondary characters that definitely deserve their own books and I look forward to reading them. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was because at times it felt as if it had too much ground to cover and it dragged a bit if that makes sense to anyone but me.

Outstanding sci-fi read

I have enjoyed this book more than I thought I would, the banter between Tris and Shea was perfect. It was pure, sans drama, and very loving. It did help that Tris said all the “right” things! This is how I know a woman wrote this book. 😂
Editing, pacing, world building were good. I wasn’t 100% clear on some of the things that happened to Tris’ home world so would love to read more about that. But, I think her sister’s or Bianca’s story will be next which I will happily read.

This book gets 2.5 stars just for the captivating beginning and fun world building, but after we get acquainted with the settings it all goes to hell 🙄
Insta love that happened off page, literally, the MCs got separated after exchanging barely a night together (keeping distance) so idk how it all progressed to them becoming mates and immediately fucking..50% pissed off/ 50% confused since not much made sense and trust me the beginning painted it all to become super interesting.
Sometimes a girl wants to enjoy the view bruh why did they have to sleep together so soon 💀

Steaming hot alien sci-fi is the only way I can describe this book. The storyline is good, and there is a lot of action, banter and bedroom scenes. Despite this, it was not quite capable to catch and keep my attention.
I'm not the biggest sci-fi fan, but If you are in to aliens and action, you will enjoy this book.

Wow… not your average alien/human romance. Tris and shea are a great couple.Shea wants to save her sister.... comes into a connection with Tris and their relationship grows. They have to learn to trust their connection and learn they are mates and belong to each other. HEA.

Okay

This was my first time reading this author. I generally like Sci-fi romance and like to see how authors create a brand new world and keep is accessible for readers. For this book, I found it jumped into the verbiage and action immediately and I felt a bit lost. I didn’t have a chance to try and equate new vocabulary with what I know. The leads were fine, I just couldn’t connect with everything. That’s a me issue and others should still check it out. Especially if they are die hard sci-fi romance fans

Reluctantly Saved

I loved Tris and his bloodthirsty dialogue. Shae was feisty and funny.

I hope the author will clue us in to the females that helped Shae and as to what happened to Bea next.
