SADDLE UP AND JOIN GIDEON HAWK ON HIS SEARCH FOR JUSTICE ON THE TRAILS OF THE WESTERN FRONTIER.

Gideon Hawk hunts the notorious depraved killer, Pima Miller, into the Superstition Mountains of Arizona Territory. Hawk inadvertently shot the killer’s Apache woman, orphaning the killer’s infant son. The killer himself doesn’t seem to mind. He leaves them both behind to save himself and head into the mountains with his beautiful young guide, Jodi Zimmerman, whom he’s kidnapped from the Superstition Stage Relay Station.

Hawk, however, minds very much that his bullet meant for the killer, Miller, struck an innocent woman. He storms after Miller with his usual bloodlust…

Peter Brandvold – Rogue Lawman Bk 7 – Heed the Thunder – Reviewed 4/2 /22 – Read 3/22/22

Hawk accidentally kills the mother of an infant; the killer father doesn’t care and runs!

While chasing a gang of outlaws, Gideon Hawk accidentally kills the mother of an infant. The father, Pima Miller, obviously does not care as he runs, leaving them behind. Thankfully, the local saloon owner knows a woman that will take the babe and raise it. Pima is on the run and comes across the Superstition Stage Relay station; he kidnaps the granddaughter, but he kills her only relative, the grandfather before he leaves. Hawk knows that Miller is a killer through and through and will not rest until he has taken care of him. Miller leads Hawk into the Superstition Mountain of Arizona Territory, hoping to bushwhack him, and the story begins.

Join Hawk as he chases Miller high up into the Superstition Mountains with danger all around him…

What did I like? Gideon Hawk is one of those characters who you just have to love the enthusiasm he has for his job. No matter that he is no longer a Ranger, he just knows that there are men out there who have abused the law and that he is the man for the job.

What will you like? Gideon Hawk will not let you down, for the action spills across the pages; his chase won’t end till he has his man. The characters will leap out of the book right into your mind, and you will not be able to put this book down, well, at least I couldn’t. The next addition to the Rogue Lawman series, from our favorite author, Peter Brandvold, “Heed the Thunder,” is available NOW!!!

western

Not really a good western. Story was ok but it seem like a crazy man story. Something you would ready when there is nothing else

We all know by now that Peter Brandvold writes some of the best action scenes in the business. He's also a master at setting the stage and writing vivid descriptive passages. Plus his characters are always interesting and compelling. All of those qualities are on display in his newest Rogue Lawman novel, HEED THE THUNDER.

Gideon Hawk is still chasing outlaws across the Southwest and handing out his own brand of bloody justice to them. In this one he's on the trail of Pima Miller, a trail that leads Hawk into the rugged and dangerous Superstition Mountains of Arizona Territory. Brandvold adds to the mix a couple of beautiful women who can't be trusted, a horde of bloodthirsty Apaches, an old desert rat or two, and a fabulously valuable lost gold mine. It's great fast-paced fun spiced with dark humor and gritty action. Gideon Hawk is a great tragic hero, and I hope his adventures continue for a long time to come.
