A paranormal escort service. That kind of thing can’t possibly exist, right? But I’ve learned that otherkin are real, and my mage boss insists that sometimes they need a little quality time with a convenient, willing human body. My next client is a little less human than the first two were. But big, awkward bull-men need love too, right?
This short story is just under 6,300 words.
Author’s Note
The Sex With Monsters collection is a series of erotic short stories. While they will flow better if read in order, they can also be enjoyed as bite-sized stand-alone stories. Each story will outline an encounter with a new paranormal creature. Have a creature you want to see featured? Visit me on social media and let me know!
*Includes explicit language, and graphic sex scenes. *Stories may contain MF, FF, MM, and menage or poly situations. (Love is love!) *Stories may contain characters of all genders/gender expressions. *Some characters may have traumatic backstories which they may or may not discuss or think about. The story arc itself will not include on-page trauma, but it is possible that such situations may be discussed at some point in the series. *It’s called sex with monsters for a reason, kinkiness possible/inevitable.
Sometimes our greatest strengths come from our deepest challenges. I write magic and romance, starring a cast of creatures with feathers, fins, and teeth. My books include paranormal romance, urban fantasy, and fantasy romance--with the occasional steampunk or alien story thrown in just for kicks. My pan heart firmly believes love is love, so you'll see straight, LGBTQIA, monogamous, reverse harem, and poly relationships in my work. My favorite theme is overcoming our inner demons and the insecurities that hold us back. I also advocate for self-development and mental health and dabble in non-fiction as time allows. I love the outdoors and still hope to be abducted by fae! (I may have more in common with my characters than I care to admit.)
I love to hear from readers!

Um… sure? Poor shy Minotaur can’t get laid and so pays for sex. Luckily, she’s freaky like that. They both have a great time. The end. Mythical creatures reading challenge -Minotaur
I love this authors works. These short stories are amazingly written. Loved all the details in this one and the incorporation of various parts. And the side information of the other characters is really fun!
3.5 stars? Not super sure how to rate this one. This is the third book in the series, and I initially skipped this one because I thought this would be a monster romance with sex while in an animal form, which I’m not into. But after reading the others in this series, I decided to at least try it and see if it was something else. And it kind of was something else, and kind of not.
Spoilers below:
He has a human body but a bull’s head and half bull hands and… kind of bull privates? But he’s really just a cursed human. Still a little strange for me honestly. Didn’t love it. Did not do it for me. But it was done as well as it could be. This was a sad one, and very sweet.
Here’s a moment of reflection for you about me…. I have discovered that I have an unconscious bias about my expectations of what the FMC should look like or act like and every time I’m still genuinely interested and excited about what Nerissa is bringing to the table for each of her monsters. Green with jealousy is another level of self awareness that I have been feeling…lol
Why in the H E double-🏑🏑-s was this one my favorite?! Am I okay?! 😂 In all seriousness, I'm not super into non-human-like creatures, so this was a pleasant surprise. That emotional element spoke to my soul!
(Also, the covers on goodreads are kinda terrifying. The Amazon covers are beautiful.)
This only gets 2 stars for length....I read this on a 15 minute break and regret NOTHING other than I sadly want to see these two together more. Like she can keep her other clients, but these two are a couple. Idk it was sweet and weird and I like what I like okay? YOLO
Probably closer to a 3.5, but it was still a short and sweet little story. I’d probably give it a 2/5 on my spice scale. It was sweet and vanilla which isn’t a bad thing. Extra points for his dick being more animal-like though. A fun little detail.

I’m becoming a big fan! just did a stopped run through books 1-3 this morning. it’s a winning, fun, sexy lovely work to explore! I’m happy to have found these books.
This one might be my favorite yet. I adored this little short story and the way Nerissa was with her client. It was absolutely adorable and my heart melted for this touch-starved male. The warmth, the acceptance, everything was top notch here.
I adore this little (big) Minotaur so much! And our sex positive FMC.
As with this series they are all extremely short, have some excellent spice, witty banter, and a decent plot. I would suggest reading all of these in order for the master plot that is happening behind the scenes.
Henry, the minoatur, was adorable and I wanted nothing more than to snuggle up with him. I was so happy Nerissa broke him in, so to speak. This story was as sweet as it was spicy. Can't wait to see what's next - hopefully it will be in KU.
