Can he protect her from the danger that has sunk its teeth into Cavendish Club?
TEMPTED is an enemies-to-lovers, opposites attract, royal billionaire romance. It is the second book in the Cavendish Billionaires Club series. The main storyline characters get their HEA, but several suspense elements for the series are referenced from the previous book, RESTRAINED. This book has no cheating, no main character cliffhanger, explicit sexuality, and a guaranteed HEA.
Not as enjoyable as the first one. Once again, the prologue introduced a completely different feel that the rest of the book does not follow - I forgot I was going to skip the prologues. It doesn't really matter because it won't tell me who is the head honcho of the whole operation, and I clearly won't find out who it is until maybe the last book. The prologue isn't that important and it gave the book a more sinister vibe that never makes a reappearance.
I also didn't quite feel like this was enemies-to-lovers. Sure, they started out hating each other, but the hatred and animosity disappeared VERY quickly. I would much prefer a grudging agreement where they're still frosty and curt with each other instead of the "I hate you for maybe three chapters and then we're kinda close and oops I love you" that this book went through.
The conflict between the two wasn't the greatest, I don't think, because it came out of nowhere, was resolved in a strange way, and was too short for me to revel in their despair. (I found I am slightly pleased when characters are miserable???) The root of the conflict was discussed and brushed aside by the character who became mad at the other mc, so I didn't understand why it was suddenly an issue when it never was in the first place. The thriller vibe does make a tiny reappearance, I guess, because stuff goes down but it's all very rushed and then the two make up almost immediately.
The first one was a lot better and reading the last chapter of this (which sets up for the next book) I'm not certain how good it will be? The mc of the next one seems really sketchy in a bad way.
I received a free ARC and am leaving a voluntary and honest review.
Lenore Ashwood, ‘Tempted’. Cavendish Billionaires Book Two.
As an Hidden Gems ARC reader I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily wrote an honest review. Here it is.
Rating: 4 (of 5 stars).
In general: From enemies to lovers.
Main characters: - Abby Finch (code name ‘Lady’), Becca (‘Obsidian’), Claire (‘Velvet’), Hartley (‘Diamond’) and Georgia (‘Poesy’) are five sorority sisters who bought Club Cavendish from the founders. They struggle to keep the Club out of the red. - Zanik Kusa. A very wealthy client of the Club who threatens Cavendish with lawsuits because of an incident with his girlfriend that ended his relationship with her. Unfortunate, because he and his family loose their wealth when he’s not married within a few days.
Zanik forces Club Cavendish to produce a bride for him within a few days. The five leading friends put Abby/Lady forward as the best candidate. That caused a lot of problems: Abby thinks that Zanik is an arrogant, spoiled wealthy playboy and for her it’s difficult to hide her dislike for this important client; he feels that Abby is responsible for the loss of his girlfriend. But despite the mutual dislike there’s a physical attraction between the two bickering main characters and both decide to accept a married relationship for a year. The author, Lenore Ashwood, then describes in a well written plot how the two enemies fall in love amidst many suspenseful complications around the Cavendish Club. All in all for me a pleasure to read this book in spite of the little cliffhanger at the end.
I am voluntarily leaving this review. This book was a great enemies-to-lovers romance. It will have you on the edge of your seat from page one. The chemistry and suspense is off the charts!
With the growing threat of danger to the Cavendish Club, Abby finds herself at the proverbial fork in the road. Does she accept an agreement that could save her and her friends from losing everything they have worked for, or does she keep her promise to never marry or enter a relationship to save her sanity? Zarin has been told for years that he has to be married by his 30th birthday and stay married for a year. After his attempt to snag a wife goes awry at his engagement with the Cavendish Club, he finds his replacement. With Abby, everything he thought he wanted and needed changed. Will they quit hating each other long enough to make this work? Will they figure out who is causing the danger to the Club?
From the sneak peak we received in this book for the next one, I cannot wait to see how this story continues to unfold. There is no cliffhanger and they can be read as standalones, but reading them in order is even better.
I am voluntarily leaving a review after receiving an ARC from Hidden Gems.
Abby is part owner of the Cavendish which is an exclusive club for billionaires. Abby was put in charge of handling Zarin's engagement party and things didn't go as planned. Zarin's fiancée was pushed out a window. She was want hurt but she refused to marry Zarin. Zarin is need of a wife for his 32 birthday which is in a few days. In order to get him to keep his business wotj Cavendish and to pay for the engagement party, Abby and her friends must find him a wife. Abby ends up marrying Zarin but things keep happening around them that could destroy Cavendish and expose the nature of the club. As Abby and Zarin realize their feelings for each other things heat up for the owners of Cavendish and they must find the culprit.
It is a steamy read. This an enemies to lovers romance. It is written well. The mystery of the culprit is not solved in the book - it will continue into the next book of the series. I did like Abby and Zarin's story. They both didn't want to admit their feelings until it was almost to late.
Abby is one of the new owners of Cavendish, a group of sorority sister purchased the business and are flying by the seat of their pants. On their first engagement there was a disaster that threatened the whole company. There is someone out to take them down. Zarin is one of the persons that the disaster happened to effect. Zarin had a contract of marriage with Abby, that is when Zarin realizes that there is a threat and how exactly how he feels. I love this series and the last. It is a unique concept and there is always action. This story kept me engaged and wanting to know how it was going to end and what about the people trying to take down the company? I have more questions and hope they all come out in the end. This is just a great series. There is just so much I want to say but do not want to give anything away. I loved it!

Abby can't believe she is going to end up Zarin's wife, she has disliked the man since the first time they met. Unfortunately, the longtime client of Cavendish Club needs a wife ASAP. When the woman he had chosen is filmed at a club event she calls of the engagement and walks away. Zarin is furious that his marriage to the woman he had chosen is not going to happen, and as far as he's concerned one of the new owners of his favorite club will have to step up to fill that role. Abby and Zarin have signed the necessary documents and have set the date. Abby can only hope that her secrets won't be revealed at the worst possible moment. Wonderfully well written and fascinating characters who will come to realize just how well suited they are and fall in love. Steamy and suspenseful with some interesting twists, a mystery, and a happily ever after. Fantastic book, and a must-read series.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
This is the 2nd book in the Cavendish Billionaires Club series featuring Zarin and Abby's exciting story. We pick up right where we left the first book the group of Sorority Sisters bought the Cavendish Sex Club and the little problems that they had been experiencing have started to escalate. When this ends up effecting Zarin the Malaysian Prince and a frequent customer he is quite insistent that Abby take his original fiance's place. I don't want to say anymore and ruin it for anyone else with spoilers. You really need to read this engaging story to see what happens. I would definitely recommend reading this book

Excellent and always thrilling This is an excellent second part that I was looking forward to for the story between Abby and Zarin, as the man was unbearable in the first book of the series. The story is always complex with the stories that intersect, but it is tender, torrid and full of surprises, with a slow construction of the main plot that can be found from the preface. It is also in the preface that we learn a little more about the threats against the Cavendish club. I really liked the characters of Zarin and Abby who at times seem as cold as each other, but more for protection than for their nature. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
Another great book in this series. This is the story of Abby and Zarin. This picks up where the last one left off. Abby and Zarin if you recall, hated each other for some reason in the last book. But there was also some kind of attraction as well. Zarin needs a wife and Abby needs money – so they enter into a contract. But someone is out to sabotage the Cavendish Club which puts people in danger. There is mystery, secrets, suspense, passion, disasters, and betrayal. I look forward to reading the next book in this series and can’t wait to see what happens next! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Abby along with her sorority sisters are the new owners of the Cavendish Club. Abby is in charge of the costumes for the events. On the night of Zarins engagement his "girlfriend" falls from a window. Zarin is quick to blame Abby and Cavendish. Zarin is needing a wife and since his "girlfriend" leaves he gets Abby to accept the contract. Little do they know that their hate for eachother could become the love of their lives. The suspense is getting so good in this series. I look forward to the next book to see what will happen next at Cavendish.
I am leaving my volutary review for a copy I recieved from Hidden Gems.
Another fabulous read of second generation Cavendish series. Unlike the first series, these girls do not have it together. Facing the trouble head on and hanging ion by a thread these girls will keep you entertained with drama and heat. Each book comes with its own adventure and passions truly taking on the characters personalities and flowing with ease. Highly recommend this series but beware she’s amazing at wrapping up a love story but leaving you one a cliffhanger so your jonesing for more.
This is book two of the Cavendish Billionaires and starts where book one left off. A group of Sorority Sisters have bought the Cavendish Sex Club and the minor problems they were experiencing have escalated. The Malaysian Prince, Zarin, a frequent customer at the Club has brought his current fiancée. When things don’t quite turn out the way he thought, he insists that Abby take his original fiancée’s place. Good story with interesting well developed characters. Good read!

This is the 5th book I've read written by Lenore Ashwood; I can’t wait to read more of her books.
This is the 2nd book in the Cavendish Billionaires Series; it can be read as a stand-alone book. The story is about Abby & Zarin; she failed as a journalist and can’t seem to find the right type of job; he’s from a royal family and a spoiled jerk.
I received a free copy of this book via booksprout and I’m voluntarily leaving a review.
I loved the main female character - Abby is like all of us, complicated, independent, determined and just headstrong sometimes. But she’s such a great foil for Zarin. Had a great time reading this over a few snug evenings in bed. Definitely one to put you in a good mood!

I enjoyed reading this. The suspense and twists and turns will keep you on the edge of your seat. The steamy sex scenes are off the charts. I’m looking forward to reading the next book in the series.
I love this series. Loved the idea of this book entering an agreement to be married for a year. I hope we get to hear alot more about what happens within that year.
