While the translation was sometimes confusing, this story was still so interesting that I eagerly read it until the end. It's a strange mix of rebirth, gaming, business, and school genres that somehow work together pretty well.

I thought that the Mc and ml's characters were a bit too similar (stoic and quiet), but there's a reason for mc's stoicness, and the many side characters helped liven the story.

There was a lot of satisfying face slapping in this story. There were a couple of interesting themes this story touches on. For example, the importance of timing. Helping someone too late is sometimes just too late. Being jealous of someone for their family or wealth is pointless - they might have their own struggles and their life might not be as pretty as they make it look. Wealth is not everything - someone who is wealthy one minute can lose it all the next.

omg I don't think have rated any Danmei I read before 3☆, but this one was hard to get through.
the translation was all over the place, the sad plot was amazing, but the translation made it hard to feel the sadness, like what? I didn't even feel any emotions while reading which makes me mad, cause I love Danmei for the emotional fluctuations, it was absent while I was reading this.
The plot woulda been good, cause I got the recommendation from my favorite Danmei recs dealer on TT and She said it was amazing to read and the plot was good, but nah, I was mad pissed at how the plot was all over the place jeez, it even gave me Y/n and the CEO vibes (I'M DEAD).
During the time Yan Zhao died, I didn't understand jackshit how that scene happened cause of how messy the translation was, I don't even know how the plane crashed or how Yan Xue Xiao got shot, like what???
Um... I'm just glad that Shen Chi got his happy ending, and how he could find comfort in Yan Xue Xiao, that's the only thing that made sense to me, so cringe, and the game plot did it for me too lol, the rest are so-so.

Where was the sweet and fluffy novel I was promised? This was sad and heartbreaking 😭. I cried so much. I had never felt so distressed for a fictional character before. And that last extra was just painfully cruel. I finished the book a few days ago but couldn't come up with anything. (I'm still processing 😭)

Rating this was hard. The story is amazing. Although I read a bad translation, I couldn't put it down. Something that bothered me was the couple's dynamics in the last chapters. They left too much unsaid, and I hoped they would heal together. Instead, they got their (hard-won and well-deserved) HEA and ignored all their demons.

Every character was a victim of society. Their circumstances were so depressing, inevitable, and real that I had to empathize with them. When comparing both worlds, you see how little it takes to change someone's life. The moment that shocked me the most was realizing how these people were trash in the eyes of society in the original world, and with just an impulse, they got the chance to shine and take their rightful place in that society that didn't need them.

While I always appreciate the many translators helping to translate Chinese novels, I do have to admit that the translation for this work is really difficult to read... I'm not complaining but it's a bit of a struggle.

The story is generally fluffy, but there are angst and depressive moments woven into it. It has the usual face-slapping moments but also largely delves into the poor conditions in rural areas. It's really hard to adapt to a poor lifestyle coming from a rich lifestyle and I admire MC for that. He has very good endurance and a resilient mindset. However, for the relationship with ML, I don't understand why the "smut" scenes are mostly when MC is half awake. It's not a non-con/ dub-con plot so why is that necessary? Additionally, not sure whether it's the author or the translation (should be the author though), the smut scenes were written through innuendos which made it impossible to read. Maybe it's understandable in Chinese?

Overall, the book was enjoyable to read and was fluffy with angst. It made me tear up, and some scenes/ thought processes resonated with me. The novel was quite enjoyable, even with the translation quality. The e-sports aspect was quite significant and I'm glad that MC was not so OP to overwhelm the whole competition.

Unlikely to read again though.

The main character parents discover that he is not their biological son so they exchange him with the original parents... they were rich and now he is living in a very small town with a very poor biological parents that he doesnt know :/

So since he's good playing videogames he start to stream playing them so he can earn some money by himself.
SInce he's already a loser with no friends he end up signing for an "online girlfriend" but the phones switched by mistake so he end up writing and being close with this guy instead a girl from the site.

Loved the first part but when something HAPPEN... you would know when you read it... it broke my heart ;_; at least isnot very long the drama but it is too much in some ocassions.

I was wondering why this dude with foresight wouldn't do anything, but .. in hindsight, he saved his own a**. Very main character of a rebirth novel.

This was a cute read of a boy who lost everything and finds something with the ML. I’m glad he wasn't a weak mary sue type and instead fought back and face slapped the rest
