The first weaning book that actually helped! - and I have read them all. This book is not just about the basics; it goes into detail and is highly informative. It gave me the confidence to wean my baby with a mixture of both, and it was a happy, relaxed and exciting experience due to this book! It was the only weaning book that was simple, easy to follow, and anticipated all my questions. Particularly useful was the guidance on the size of solid foods, lists of ideal solid foods broken down by age, and meal plans. It was nice to know what I should be offering every meal. Hands down the best money I spent because it made weaning enjoyable and fun for us.

This book was just what I was looking for. I didn't want just recipes (although it does have some easy three-ingredient recipes that I have used); I wanted to know all the nitty-gritty of how to cut food, how big, what shape, what a plate should look like, how to balance the meal (protein/fruit or veg/carbs) when to introduce different textures, etc. Literally, this book has it all and gave me the practical tools I needed to be confident.

If you want your baby to become an independent eater and have fun in the process, then this is your book. I highly, highly recommend it!

This was a great book to help me incorporate solids and purees. The stress of BLW on social media is real.

Helpful guide to introducing a baby to solid food. Overemphasizes the idea that the baby should lead the way, but appreciated the recipe guides. More order is probably needed than what the author advocates. I wouldn’t let my child throw food on the floor just so they don’t have a “negative association” with food.
