This series of 8 books contain the 4000 verses of Nalayira Divya Prabandham with word by word meanings in easy-to-understand Tamil, in a prose order. The books also present the conjoined words of the verses in a simple, split up manner for ease of recitation.
The 4000 verses of exquisite beauty were composed by the 12 Tamil saints, called Alwars, in the 5th - 10th century CE. These poems form the basis of worship in the Srivaishnava tradition in South India.
Each volume contains approximately 500 verses with their meanings; two volumes completing the respective thousand. A detailed index based on the first word of the verse is presented at the end of each volume. Additional material with meanings include the Upadesa Ratnamalai and Thiruvaimozhi Nootrandadi. Brief biographies of Alwars are also included.
This series builds on the authors' earlier 4 volumes of Divya Prabandham on Kindle.
