I love the No nonsense info 'The Circle Diet' book provides. The book is broken down into 4 main chapters (or Spokes). The first spoke being CICO (Calories in, Calories Out), Greg explains the concept of CICO in an easy straight to the point manner.
The next Spoke covers how to make healthy habits that yields long term results with as minimal suffering as possible. Greg gives advice where making changes which one can commit to, where it doesn't have to be a struggle.
In the third Spoke where Greg covers cardio and its relation to CICO. He explains why Cardio burns more calories in a session compared to Weight Training.
In the last spoke he explains optimal muscle gaining, where he talks about getting the most out of your weight training. He talks about how muscle requires more fuel for the body to keep going compared to fat (Meaning: The more muscle the body has the more calories it burns). Greg then briefly goes over supplements.
The book doesn't provide a training plan though, Greg has other ebooks for that.
Lastly, this book doesn't require the reader to have any previous knowledge in regards to the law of thermodynamics, anatomy, biology or anything health & fitness related.
Whether your journey is to lose or maintain weight or body build. If you want to live longer & healthier then this book is for you!

I was expecting this to be all over the place, but Greg really did a fantastic job with making sure the key principles needed for success are clear and easy to understand. Personally, I thought the "four spokes" diagram to be super helpful for remembering everything he had to say. He constantly encouraged small but constant habitual changes over time with no shame or blame - do it harder (or better) than last time!

I will say that despite this being a book I'd recommend to anyone (even intermediate lifters looking for a refresher), the multiple stops to buy additional products were a little frustrating - I get it, though.

I'd love to see Greg run through every few years and make changes based on additional research, both anecdotally and data driven.

I used to follow greg online and i like him but I started this book without high hopes. Why? I read a lot of books on nutrition as i am finishing my masters in this field and i like to read about that stuff but 98% of the time i am dissapointed. Not this time there is nothing special in this book no big selling point its just common sense which is why its one of the rare books i can award 5 stars to (check my account i rarely do that).
In the future if someone asks me which nutrition book i recommend its this

Although i work as a nutritionist so im not gonna recommend it people pay me good money to tell them the exact same stuff thats in here.

Sometimes, you just need someone to tell things you already know in a straightforward and no bullshit way. If you need to consolidate certain information about dieting and the psicologicy behind it, you can try this quick book. But... don't give influencers money.
