Jason has put me through hell to prove I can withstand the flames. Now he wants me.
Tough luck, a*hole.
I survived the taunts, the humiliation, but after what happened to me last semester, I refuse to play his game any longer.
Jason’s obsession with me isn’t healthy for either of us. He thinks he needs me. I know better. What he needs is therapy.
I have to resist him for the rest of the year, then we’ll never meet again. He and I don’t belong in the same world, and as much as I love what I see when I walk in his, I know my place.
Far, far away from the King of Cross.
Except he’s Jason freaking Alden, and he fights dirty for what he believes is his.
Spin the Damn Bottle is the second book in the duet—start at I F-ing Dare You. This novel concludes Nora and Jason’s story.
From the blurb I thought Jason would have to do a lot of chasing and grovelling, but unfortunately that was not the case at all 😣.
The epilogue seemed really abrupt, and kinda gross, and the big conversation between Nadia and her parents didn’t happen. IMO that was a really big loose end 😒.
The book was interesting, dark, yet still had sweet moments between FMC Nadia and MMC Jason. The threats against her life were played out well and I didn't mind the alpha role Jason played even if he crossed lines with his controlling. When we got his POV even he understood it was an illusion and that she just needed to feel he was forcing her into choices (like marrying him...eventually) when she really wanted to. The sharing partners and sex swapping tho was a bit much for me but each to their own,the story was still good.
The first one in this series was so so so good. It was different and packed a punch. There was Jason, the psycho bully who had sizzling chemistry with Nadia who was the lucky girl falling prey to his nastiness, and she was herself a good character. There was a sinister back story and a secret club that was a fab introduction to the world of sexual sharing and voyeurism. It was cool, sexy and different.
But sadly for me this second instalment lost all of its initial fabulousness and fell short of the mark by a long shot.
The chemistry from the first book was missing, and at the end of the first book, we got to see a new side to Jason. He was a little more caring and he wanted Nadia to be a part of his lifestyle, and so Nadia signs an NDA and has sex with him in his club while his friends look on. Then it ends in a cliffhanger when something terrible happens to Nadia. Now the problem with this second book is that we pick up where that book left off and now Nadia wants nothing to do with Jason. Only she does. But she doesn’t. But she does have sex with him in front of his driver, and then in front of his best friend even though she really doesn’t want to be near him. And there’s absolutely no talk of the discussion they had back in book 1 about them sharing each other with friends etc. Anywany, so Jason kind of manoeuvres Nadia into his life so she has no choice but to be close to him.
So there’s the hunt for the person that’s after Nadia, there’s a secret that’s being kept from her but it’s a different bullying psycho who lets it slip to her, one she isn’t attracted to and who really wants a piece of her. There’s also the fact that Nadia eases into the sharing’s caring life pretty quickly but we never really get to hear the important conversations between her and Jason that would help their relationship develop.
And that’s where I lost interest. I did finish it but it just felt so all over the place - a bit like this reviews !! But there’s so much to say that didn’t majestic sense to me!!
The idea of this series is such a good one. It’s just a shame it didn’t live up to the first book.
So much sharing 😭🆘 but everything except that was great. The hero is a OTT buldozer and their chemistry was palpable. He pursued her relentlessly and didn't stop intil he got her.
But! I find it a bit weird that he's so posessive of her one moment and then proud to share her the next🤷🏼♀️ same thing goes for her, but it's amplified by the fact that the swinger scene was completely new ro her, yet she went with everything and everything was turning her on. Mkay...sure.
I waited for the second book before writing a review. I did not love the books. I was not too fond of the female character Nadia and Jason was more likable. However, book two is written as a concise story, a lot is left out, and the end is rushed. I do not see the necessity to write a second book when one could have been enough. The books are poorly written; there is no disclosure regarding the bio parents, and her brother. I am not a fan of books with multiple partners or sharing; it gets old and boring when all the authors write in the book. If I knew it was a multiplayer relationship, I would never have started the book. Nadia was annoying and dense at times. Some scenes were ok with the description of the sex but nothing excruciating hot.
wow. what was I thinking. This is the worst book I’ve ever read in my life, like you are 18 get a grip buddy. why would anyone ever write high school dark romances. ALSO HOW DID I TOTALLY MISS THIS GROUP RELATIONSHIP/SWINGING FOURSOME THING??? WHAT THE HELL also why was he like over possessive yet happy to share her with his literally best friend? I don’t get it
What happens when an elite secret society of swingers happens to have children who grow up on the life? The kids will play themselves. As heirs to their families fortunes, tasked to take over one day, they must also navigate the secret society and the rules that apply as being a member. This is the second book in this duet and I did find a few errors so I knocked it down a notch. I liked this story and I enjoyed the swingers twist.
story has potential if the author went into it more
I think this author has potential with her writing but as far as this book… I liked the story line, and enjoy the characters but the story was rushed. A lot more could have been done with it.
It has a good spicy level and Jason is like-able but that’s all that this book has going for it.
Yea, not my cup of tea. If I wanted to read about swingers, and all that I would have not picked a bully romance. There was nothing enticing about this duo.
“His touch is a weakness I've never understood. When he was my enemy, I couldn't resist it. Now, every caress is addictive.” - Nadia Reyes
I’m half way done and I’ve been SCREAMING the whole way through. I read a couple reviews before diving in only because I was hoping to find out if this book was any spicier than the last… a. It is. But the reviews didn’t give me that info, & b. the reviews I read, in my opinion are dead wrong. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but respectfully the ones on this book/series are wrong. This book/series is amazing. The reviews I saw were saying that the mains were missing chemistry and blah blah blah but they’re wrong. There is so much chemistry, so much that I’m sitting here screaming into a pillow because I can physically feel it hitting me!
… I also saw complaints about why people would want to share their partner and what not. Which is wild. It’s a book Karen, if you’re not up for it, don’t do it. Simple. Like I’m not exactly down for 90% of the stuff I read but I’m not doing to give a bad review because I don’t participate in said activities.
I don’t want to give to much away and I also don’t want to give to much of a tmi about myself but what’s said during the sexy scene at 36% sent me. I literally had to hold in SCREAMS at 11pm because of how perfectly those words were said!
Emm Darcy/May Sage is now one of my top favourite Authors and I will be adding her Heritage series to my TBR!
Unfortunately I have to put this book down for the night, but I had started reading earlier today I would have finished in one sitting. Be back tomorrow for the final words!!
Okay next day and I’m finished. My friend started this series because of my recommendation and finished it before be because she’s a much quicker reader than I am, so though out my read I’m texting her in shocked & awe! I love this book. I love this series.
My love doesn’t come without some criticism though. One of my criticisms is purely my opinion and tastes, and thats that the epilogue wasn’t a flash forward to when they had kids. I adore it when it’s so many year forward and they are a happy family with kids. But like I said that’s just my personal preference. My other criticism is that there was a few errors. A couple chapters from Jason’s POV weren’t labeled as his so took me a min or two to catch on. Not a huge deal, but it does take from the experience when I have to flip back a few pages to double check that I didn’t miss something…
But dispute my criticisms this is still a 5⭐️ for me. The fact that I binged this series and pulled me out of a somewhat reading slump means it’s well deserving of all 5 of those ⭐️’s!!

I read the first book and thought it was interesting… mildly. Book two… I’m so glad I waited to write a review until after I read this one. Make the MMC make sense… possessive not possessive …if it’s in a group session at the elite club it’s ok? Pass her off to his friends as long as they are sharing someone also.. then out of left field he’s pansexual.. Real head scratcher and completely unnecessary to plot growth. Plus it was a little creepy. Also the ending… I could’ve just skipped the epilogue because I had already had enough of the swingers garbage scenes this book had. Then… if I I wasn’t already weirded out about the 🌶️ then we don’t explain Nadias family dynamics… why she was targeted by the antagonists around Jace.. where and why Sofias friendship disappeared…. The reason Yuki is even mentioned at all… her art being damaged .. it was all glossed over in one chapter but don’t worry the smut covers the whole story hoping you won’t notice lack of explanations.

Was it better than I F-ing Dare You? Definitely. That’s said, it was still just an average book overall. The pacing was strange, everything felt a bit rushed and, as a result, everything felt very rushed. This also meant the story lacked any real emotional impact, characters were underdeveloped and therefore difficult to connect with.
There were some good ideas here though and I would love to see this author dive deeper into her characters; even some of the side characters in this story could have their own really interesting stories if written well. Fewer side characters, a higher page count and a (really) thorough proofreader could make this series great.
At the moment the series is a bit underwhelming, but I’ll probably give this author another chance in the future to see what else she comes out with.
Well, that’s a bummer. The first book wasn’t perfect but I liked it pretty well overall. This one isn’t completely terrible but definitely falls flat.
The author really goes for it with the sharing stuff and the focus on it really pulled away from the specialness of the relationship between H/h. The story is pretty short but somehow drug in a few places while feeling woefully inadequate in others.
This book is definitely not safe. There is a point where they are playing a sex game and she bangs another dude in front of him and then she watches him bang another girl. Just really not my thing.
I don’t like reverse harems or MFM, MMF. It’s just not my preference especially when it’s not for mentioned in the troupes. I don’t love a sharing scene(s) but I can tolerate them if they make sense. I signed up to read a dark high school bully romance duet. Not minimal bullying and a cohersive, grooming MMC. Then all the weird sex had no flow with the storyline regardless of the sex club and wealthy elites. It all took away from the big reveals of who was harming our FMC and the fact that her cousin is her brother and her parents have been lying to her.
Me likey! Who doesn't like to play games. This second installment is just as juicy as the one. The characters are smoothly written.. Jace is enticing and so damaged. A control freak who's driven by his tragedy. Nadia only wants to anonymous gets thrown into the raging storm that is Jace by doing what she thinks is right. But, is oh so not right. The intrigue joins in and the story really takes off. It is a thoroughly delicious ride. And who doesn't looove a Heritage entanglement?! Oh. You don't know what Heritage is?? Well you'll just have to read this and all the others? It's hush, hush...but, so enthralling...steamy, sex driven fun!!😉😘
I absolutely loved the first book in this duet, it was different and original. This book was just not entirely on that level. I didn't believe the relationship between Nadia and Jace was honest and as diverse as the heritage club alludes. I felt like the ending was really rushed and I was shocked at one point that I was 80% through the book and no real tension had been created for the conclusion. This all taken into consideration I do want to read more from the author.
Tired of writing the story and rushed to finish the second book.
I think the book itself has a good storyline. The heat level is not as high as you would think considering the subject matter.
New secrets were unveiled unveiled, and there were no pages dedicated to that being revealed even the big bad seemed rushed to conclusion.
I really liked the MMC. Bossy possessive, controlling all the good things I even like the FMC. She stuck up for herself for the most part. I will definitely read more books from this author.
I enjoyed the first book and usually I like the next in series of books but never the same as the first how ever I found this series different as I enjoyed the second the same as the first maybe a little more and usually not found of the multiple sexual partners this one didn't make me feel uncomfortable maybe I am getting used to it as I have dark tastes and most dark romance has multiple partners but I believe it's more to do with the book and author well worth the read very much enjoyed this book
I enjoyed the first book of this series and this is just a nitpicking thing - I think the book needs another edit. POV's change and yet, there's no indication whose POV each chapter is from.
As for the story, I think it felt rushed. This could have easily been a 3 book series. I think this book could use a rewrite to be epic. Like where's the scene of her brunch with her uncle/dad? Where's her confrontation with Lucius? So many important things mentioned but never executed or mentioned again. It feels like a lot was left out and the ending was too rushed.

So this one wasn’t as good as the first for me. The explanation for the psycho ended up falling apart in my opinion—they acted like they just learned of the MCs parentage, but they had been doing psycho things for awhile?! Hmmm… idk didn’t work—wasn’t convinced. Then the parentage thing again—-hmmm nah. Then the epilogue🙄 really wake up the night before your wedding to other people. 🧐 I just am not about that life—-sorry it’s just not happening for me🤷🏻♀️
Yeah, this is going to have to be a pass for me. And not for the usual “I don’t like sharing”. That’s not really a reason to rate a book low, IMO.
The book was just kind of all over the place with no real plot. And the holes were glaring.
First, the books weren’t numbered on Amazon so apparently I started with book two, that’s fine, if it’s anything like book 2 I wouldn’t have finished the duet.
Even the “scary” part was two pages. Nothing was tired together.
Holy ghost peppers, Batman! 🔥🔥🔥🔥 This was an amazing conclusion to Jason and Nadia’s story. Rowan’s Star Wars comments were the best! Also: If an author gives you trigger warnings and such about what you may not like about the book, and you choose to read it and STILL leave a one star review for said warnings, just move along and stop hurting these authors with these petty reviews. They work hard on these books and don’t deserve that.
I love Nadia and Jason, their push and pull is so hot!!! I loved how she pushed his button and oh he pusged her buttons. This book was soooo hot! I love them. The book had a lot of everything good. It had me on the edge of my seat as to who was after her!!! I mean it, I loved them. I wish it was longer, I know that is selfish but I wanted more. It is soooo good! It is soooo hot! It is an absolute must devour!!!
Did not finish. It felt like a bad porn script that some dude writes. The scenes were ehh and for a guy that’s so possessive he sure likes sharing his girl. And Nadia was just so accepting of everything that she was just so bland. I also didn’t know that this was about group sex and I’m def not into that. I should’ve read the description. Don’t waste your time on this one. Read any Rina Kent or Callie Hart books. Those are amazing.
This was a good reason, alot of secret came out in this book.... There is still someone after Nadia, and Jason and Lucas are trying to find out who it is.... Nadia thinks that her and Jason should break up, because the closer she gets to Jason, it seems the person goes after her.... Jason doesn't want that though and pushes for them to stay toagther... There are alot of steamy scenes in here not with just them, there is also sharing....
I read book 2 just as fast as I did I Fing Dare You. So, it's definitely a page-turner. But I will say I knocked this one down a star only because I thought there were a few aspects of the plot that were a little disappointing. I don't want to give any spoilers so I'm not going to share.
I am glad I read this one. Overall, I was entertained and enjoyed the happily ever after.
I recommend you read this one. But I'd be curious to know if you think similarly or not.
