Can't believe Thane had to die. Was really surprised the author didn't have Cain die and Ares get with Thane. Since he lost Onyx already.

I loved the character growth, especially compared to the first book. Love these characters and how unique each one is! Emotional roller coaster for sure. Great job author!

Book 3 in The Gift Chronicles (but direct sequel to Book 1).
Grew to the characters so had to carry on with the series! 🐺🔮🏹
Not sure this was the wisest decision given Thane's departure - brutal to kill him off!
"I'm glad I knew everything before I die. I was deeply disturbed by how much I loved you when I first saw you in the woods"...he knew all those years ago, before ever meeting Ares🥺
