The Eureka Bubble is no longer isolated from a world still struggling after the apocalyptic finale to the Corporate Wars. Regaining contact with the outside communities helped cure the problems of dwindling resources, but it also brought new challenges for the Bubblers to overcome.
Princess, a.k.a. Kelly Ansen, has already learned first-hand how dangerous this new reality could be, and she barely survived. Recognizing the Bubble holds a wealth of resources compared to most of the rest of the world, Princess will stop at nothing to protect her home. Enlisting her brother Scott and former Obsidian Agent Morgan Campbell, she continues to work toward a future where the Bubble and its neighbors can embrace life beyond mere survival.
But the resources of the Bubble make a tempting prize for anyone with the guts and the power to take them. When Princess’ father returns with a squad of Specialists and Con Mods and decides he wants the Bubble for his own, can Princess and her allies stop them from repeating the mistakes and horrors of the past, or will she become just another victim of this Fallen World?
J.P. Chandler was born and raised in California, where he now resides with his wife of many years. He uses writing in the genres of Science Fiction and Fantasy as his excuse for pursuing interests in history, science, and culture, among many others. He first started writing at the age of fourteen. He has been a waiter, a delivery driver, a furniture repairman, a pizza maker, and a small equipment mechanic. He has also been a teacher, a coach, an editor, and an attorney. And he speaks French.
His first professional sale was a short story in “Tales from the Lyon’s Den,” part of the Four Horsemen Universe. You can get a free copy on his website, www.funfictionstories.com. The first novel, They Call Me Princess, was published in 2020, followed by Revenant in 2022. More novels are in the works.
Love the Fallen World series. I like that different authors are writing in this universe. Keeps the feeling that it is not just being an assembly line story. Look forward to everyone that comes out.
Solid second part of the story of Princess (you don't know who Princess is, then read "They Called me Princess) and how she tries to preserve the integrity of the bubble against all threats, foreign and domestic. The revenant in question is actually her dad and she and he don't necessarily see thing in the same light. Follow-up on their peregrinations and enjoy the ride. Can't wait for the next Princess installment!
I love this series but this one felt like it was just the first chapters in a full book. Don’t get me wrong it was good, but doesn’t give you a satisfying end as the other ones have. I will have to wait for the next princess book and read them back to back.
