What happens when a New York City playboy, a Southern spitfire, and a hairless cat walk into a coffee shop? Burnt man-nipples, for starters.
Self-made mogul Chase Moore is a charming hound dog with a hairless cat and a family business to save. He was fine being the spare to the heir of the family’s luxury department store empire until the billion-dollar business threatened to go belly-up. Now Chase will need more than his rakish good looks to fight his father for control.
Powerhouse marketing guru Campbell King is a hardheaded woman with a chip on her shoulder in the shape of the New York City skyline. After being chewed up and spit out by the city that never sleeps, Campbell returned to Texas and launched her own company. When her phone rings, and the sexy voice on the other end asks her to help save his swanky store in Manhattan, she seizes the chance to redeem herself.
When the sexy redhead from Texas with an Elvis obsession runs into her new boss, they both find themselves all shook up. And for the first time in her life, Campbell may need a little less conversation and a whole lot Moore action.

With the amazing Space series all sewn up, I was already missing all those great space euphemisms, but Hudson really upped the game this time with a hairless cat as a secondary character. Then she takes the humor over the top in the most endearing way with a plucky heroine who hums Elvis tunes without realizing it. (Elvis truly does have a song for every occasion.)
The spare heir and black sheep of the family, Chase Moore, is taking over the helm of his family's mega department store Moore's in New York City for, um, reasons. (Holy wow, is this old-money Moore family complicated!) To bring Moore's into the 21st century by creating an online presence for the store, he hires Kings Marketing.
Campbell King started her marketing career in NYC, until a horrible, vindictive coworker threw her under the bus, sending Belle back home to Texas to nurse her wounds. Since then, Belle has made Kings Marketing a contender in social media marketing and agrees to take the job for Moore's.
One of my greatest pleasures as a reader is watching a fresh talent grow in her craft, and this gifted wordsmith has leaped past any expectation I ever thought to have. Not only is this one full of her snarky wit and bawdy humor, it's low angst, touching, and overflowing with heart. It’s the character depth and story complexity, however that made a permanent place in my heart for Chase and Belle.
Hudson has quickly earned a spot for herself on my list of favorite romcom queens. This one is a laugh a minute but still incredibly sweet, with a backdrop that combines big city old money and tough southern determination. Smexy, sassy, heartfelt and hilarious, this unmatched, phenomenal romantic comedy is easily one of my top five reads for the year, so run to the 1-Click and start reading! (But don’t forget to limber up those laugh muscles – they’re gonna need it.)

After reading such a heavy book I needed something lighter and this was just what the doctor ordered.
The book was based on Chase and Bell, playboy billionaire falls in love with his social media marketing manager..
I laughed til tears rolled down my face, the puns and innuendos throughout the book was first class comedy. I read the book in 2 sittings. It is such an easy read and flows nicely from Chase to Bell and back again. A perfect book for a quick read.
Chase is a typical playboy who thinks about his 🍆 ALOT so if you easily offended this wouldn't be the book for you but I found him funny as.. and I think Bell was just as bad as him 🤣 There is so so many moments I'd love to talk about but it would be spoilers so just go get the book!
I have read many spice/smut in books - this was mild to moderate in sections, it did flow quickly over the sexual scenes... and back into the story line again 🤣😳
I loved the story based on the store, family, love that was behind the smut.. I loved the love Chase and Thomas had for their sister Sorry but there dad was a first class w*nker.
Mike Hunt is a legend and I hope he very much appears in book 2 🤣🤣 - you need to read it to find out more!
Thankyou to Netgalley for the ARC. Awaits book 2
Oh ps... the prize winning hoover.... I was in kinks laughing 🤣🤣🤣
Will definitely look out for more books by this author.
Light-hearted romance with all the angst, steam and banter to make you want to read this in one sitting.
Tropes and add ons I loved in this book: ✨Work place romance ✨Forced proximity ✨Forbidden romance ✨A hairless cat! My favorite🥹 ✨Spice
Chase and Bell’s story was way too damn cute. Hilarious banter, conversations about anything and everything, and I loved the opposites attract vibes. Chase is such a play boy but has a brilliant heart of gold, and Bell is the definition of fiery and smart. I can absolutely never say no to a forbidden workplace romance, and this book just ticked all of the boxes for me. Absolutely brilliant!
A fun, steamy, dual POV billionaire romance. A bit too insta-love for my tastes but I still enjoyed this workplace romance between a department store CEO and the marketing expert he hires to help save the family company. Full of laughs (a hairless cat owning man who takes it on walks through central park in a baby carrier🤣)and super spicy🌶️ 🥵 Perfect for Meghan Quinn fans👌🏻
Book 1 in the 'Moore to Love' series, this was a light-hearted contemporary romance that was equal parts steamy and angsty.
When Chase, the bad egg of the Moore family, brings in savvy marketing consultant, Campbell King to upgrade the image of the family business, he wasn't expecting to fall for her. Having endured loss and betrayal early on, her work is all that matters to Campbell, but sexy Chase Moore is a temptation that threatens to complicate her life. Even with all their respective baggage and insecurities wearing them down, the sizzling chemistry between the two draws them together, despite their best intentions.
Of the two protagonists, Campbell is my favourite - I love a strong heroine, who stands her ground and gives a scathing comeback to misogynists and backstabbers - a feat I consider akin to a superpower. Chase, on the other hand, is your regular bad boy, who hides his pain behind his smirk and a nonchalant attitude.
Though not a fan of insta-love stories, this was quite an engaging read. The author has spun a refreshing take on the 'workplace romance' trope, with all the witty banter and wordplay, Chase's hairless cat, Mike Hunt, and Campbell's Elvis obsession. The weekend romance was sweet with some heavy action thrown in for good measure.
Overall, a charming rom-com generously sprinkled with double entendre and puns. Having had a sneak peek into Book 2 of the Moore series, I can hardly wait to read Thomas Moore and Alice's story. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for providing a digital copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.
When I’m reviewing books, I mostly review books from major publishers, but I still like to pick up the odd book here and there from independent authors when the blurb or cover piques my interest, because I truly believe supporting independent authors is something that benefits the entire reading community as a whole. Almost every author starts out as an independent author of some sort. Everyone has to earn their stripes somewhere, so to speak.
So, I’m going to lie: I picked up this random, independent romcom because of the following tidbits: charming hero owns hairless cat, luxury department store, New York City, and a female powerhouse marketing guru heroine sweeping in to save the day. We could almost just knock that down to the hero owns a hairless cat and there’s luxury shopping involved in New York City. I’m not even joking. I love books with luxury shopping. Especially shoes. (This book does involve shoe shopping, which makes me happy in my shopping pants).
Was it everything I was hoping for? In some ways, yes; in other ways, no. It was charming, irreverent, fun, sentimental, sexy, well-plotted, well-paced, and not too long. The flip side? The writing tended to be immature more often than not, the sentimental could tip into overly sentimental at times (causing it to come across as cheesy), and the ending was rushed.
As a whole, it’s an entertaining book worth a read. It will engage you and you will have a decent time reading it. Is it a must-read or a classic in the genre? No. But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t give it a try.
Not gonna lie, I used an online converter to see what we were talking about. I mean, nine inches don’t seem that much, right? Ha ha.
This book was hilarious. The double entendres and innuendos were a gift that kept on giving. It was funny and it made me laugh out loud so many times, I lost count.
Chase Moore steps in to bring his family business to the twenty first century. To do so, he hires the best marketing company and Campbell King accepts the challenge. From the first moment they meet, things get hot and heavy. Literally (and also figuratively). And he has a cat. An hairless feline hero that steals the show! Need I say more?
The odd thing about this book is that it’s probably marketed in the billionaires’ genre, signaling a lot of spice. And yes, Campbell and Chase can’t take their hands off each other and they left the doors wide open during their many interactions - but I thought they were more sriracha-mayonnaise than actual hitting the Scoville scale. Not sure what point I want to make, but I think this book might not receive the appreciation it deserves if it’s categorized as just another billionaires romance. I mean, this book was so much fun. The characters were a delight, there were many fun and sweet moments, and if books were eyes, this one would twinkle.
Thank you to Netgalley for providing an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This cover is gorgeous. The orange is to DIE FOR and even though I've seen this dude on multiple romance covers, this stands out for me. It didn't make me forget it and that's what a book should do.
Moving on to the actual book though: C H A S E MOOOOORE ladies and gentlemen. Ugh. I loved him from the very beginning. He's smart, sexy, and hilarious and he has made it onto the list of my favorite book boyfriends. Bell on the other hand, was kind of a miss for me. I was here for boss bitch energy because we need more strong female leads in romance books, but I just didn't connect with her as a character and that is a me thing. A lot of other reviews loved her but she just wasn't for me.
Overall, Sara Hudson did a great job with this romance and I enjoyed it. It was humorous, the pacing was good and it gave me everything I look for in a romance novel.
This is my first title by this author, and I wasn't sure what to expect based on the blurb, but I was curious.
The humor worked well in most areas of the story, but there were parts where I thought the focus on making the book funny made the development of the relationship between Chase and Campbell feel like a secondary focus. While this wasn't bad enough to completely pull me out of the story, it did make the connection I felt to the characters feel like it was a bit of a roller coaster and just when I was fully involved in their story, I was drawn back out of it.
That said, the hairless cat was pretty hilarious. And their connection, when it was the focus, was on them, was strong and enjoyable.
There was a whole lot of drama at the end, but I loved it!! I love that everyone who needed it got what was coming to them. It wasn't a masterpiece, but the book was adorable and easy to read. The spice was ok, but I loved Chase and Bell together. I wish Chase would have been more logical in some instances, but he had a bombshell dropped on him. And I wish Bell would have been more upfront with Chase about her past. It could have saved them all a lot of trouble.
I love this book! This is a sexy sweet hilarious story that had me swooning gigging and ready to throat punch someone. This is a cute book with some heat and a kick ass heroine. I want to thank this amazing author for the chance to read this and for the awesome sticker of Mike 😉
This was such a fun rom-com. Chase is a wealthy heir to a family department store but is somewhat of the black sheep of the family. When his brother is ready to sell the store, Chase makes a deal to step up to run the store and right the ship towards profit.
To aid him, Chase hires the best marketing firm he can find, headed up by Campbell (aka Bell.) Their connection is instantaneous, their attraction electric.
The story is made even better by Chase's sister, a hairless cat (and all corresponding jokes), Elvis, and so many other great supporting characters.
Spicy and sexy 🌶️🌶️🌶️ out of 5 not too graphic but definitely steamy
4 stars for enjoyment! This book is exactly what I needed in my current mind-frame. Light, funny (sometimes awkwardly, sometimes obnoxiously), fun, had me smiling, and has me looking forward to the next books in the series!
Thank you to the publisher for the ARC via Netgalley. All opinions are my own.
I am legit adding book to chart..loved, loved, loved. I loved the how funny both Chase and Belle was. That the store is a family affair with many at odds for reasons to be discovered. I enjoyed Belle no non-sense personality. She's been through a lot and she's managed to make it on top. The sex is super spicy... Loved
And I am especially excited to read the rest in this series.. I'll be looking out for it. Amazing
“I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.”
Suona come my cunt, fichetta, ed è…perverso .
I received an e-ARC from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
I was so excited when I read the synopsis and when the copy got delivered to my Kindle. Sadly, as much as I wanted to like this, I found it to be average. And honestly, it took a lot before I was able to take this book seriously.
This book is marketed as a rom-com, and usually, I'm easily amused but I didn't find the humor in this book to be entertaining. For the most part, they seem like a hard sell and were trying too hard to seem funny. A lot of the same puns were also overused and repetitive throughout the book.
The plot was promising, however, it fell short. I wanted the political angst and the justice to have more impact but it was lacking. A large portion of this book was dedicated to establishing what the characters, Chase and Bell, looked like and how much they're fantasizing about each other. There were at least five chapters or so that contained descriptions of their appearances and sexual fantasies.
Based on what I said about the plot, I didn't like the romance in this book. The supposedly romantic connection between Chase and Bell was so lust-centered, and not to mention, very insta-love. I wouldn't say the characters were one-dimensional, but I couldn't relate to either Chase or Bell.
I LOVED LIZ, and all of the side characters, they're funny and sassy, which is not surprising since that's how it's always been with the books that this author has written in the past.
I'm disappointed that I didn't like this book. It's very surprising since I enjoyed Sara L. Hudson's other series, Space. I'm intrigued with the next book in this series, it's about Thomas and Alice, and it seems to have an enemies-to-lovers or hate-to-love trope. I hope other people who decide to pick this up will enjoy it more than I did.
There was so much to love about this book; a wealthy playboy with a heart of gold, a fiery, whipsmart heroine, flirty banter, steamy romance, and loveable side characters. A Little Moore Action ticks all the boxes, and I SO wanted to love it - but unfortunately it fell just that little bit short for me.
Let's start with the good - and again, there was so much about this book that was great! I thought the Moore family was fascinating and their dynamic was really well developed, which provided a strong backbone for the main plot. Most notably, comedic writing and steamy scenes can both be so difficult to get right, and Sara L Hudson has a talent for both.
Having said that, my main issue was that both the humour and the sexual innuendo went so far over the top that it was hard to stay connected to the actual story after the tenth pun about Mike Hunt, Chase's "hairless pussy". Both main characters seemed to find double entendre in the most innocent of phrases and situations, and Chase spends so much of the book erect that I was borderline concerned for his health.
I get that they're attracted to each other, and the attraction isn't forced so much - they do have chemistry - but it just feels a little shoved down your throat, and makes their connection much more about lust than love, which didn't feel right for a rom com.
A very satisfying conclusion, along with the Moore family and Hudson's generally engaging writing style, redeemed the book for me and overall I am glad I read it. Even though it wasn't totally to my tastes, I'm sure that A Little Moore Action will be a hit for plenty of other readers!
Thank you to Netgalley and the Publishers for sending me a copy of this ebook in exchange for an honest review.
A Little Moore Action is a laugh out loud romantic comedy that follows Chase Moore and Campbell "Bell" King. Let's start with the positives, there were so many puns and innuendos that I was in stitches and laughing out loud. I also love when books are set in my hometown/state. Campbell is from Houston, Texas! I loved that Bell was either humming, singing, or quoting the king himself, Elvis Presley. Mike Hunt, the pussy cat, is an absolute legend. Campbell is a fiercely intelligent and creative woman in a male dominant field. I loved watching her come into her own and finally standing up for herself with that sleazy, manipulative former coworker. Lastly, I enjoyed watching karma unfold and justice be delivered to dear old dad, Stan.
Now for some things I didn't like. I don't like that in addition to the title it says "A Panty Melting Romantic Comedy" on the front of the book because while it was hilarious in parts the sexy scenes where lacking a bit of steam. Most of them just faded to black which is not what I was expecting from this book. I can't stand the lack of communication/miscommunication trope. Chase Moore thinks A LOT with his 🍆. Which causes some big problems at the end of the book for Chase and Bell and Chase and Thomas, his brother.
I am excited that there will be a second book coming out with Thomas and Alice's story. I'll be keeping an eye out for that!
Sara L Hudson's stories have characters that are quirky, funny and from their point of view they keep you hooked into the story . . A little moore action is an office spicy romance between the heir to a luxury retail family in New York and the CEO of the Marketing company that is hired . Chase is the second son in the family who no one trusts to be a professional, despite making his own fortune when the family legacy is in danger of bankruptcy and his older brother decides it's best to sell, Chase steps forward. and hire the best Marketing company without waiting for the incredible ceo that leaves him speechless and with a thousand ideas after each exchange . Bell loves New York, after returning to Texas and starting her business from scratch, she has the opportunity to work and enjoy a place that brings back so many memories of her early years on her own. Drawn by the opportunity and the sexy voice of Chase Moore Bell travel to New York and ever since she begins to doubt that she has overcome old wounds and she start to wonder what else is there . Spicy scenes and Elvis songs at every turn of the page keep the romance afloat while a Sphynx Cat jumps around every corner stealing the best moments whit hilarious and intriguing supporting characters that leave you wanting to have their own stories . I really enjoyed reading this book and I'm looking forward to the next one, I think I became a fan since the first book I read by her . . . Thanks to Sara L Hudson for give me this great book in exchange for my honest opinion
i really wanted to like this book. the sypnosis captured my interest so i thought — why not give it a go?
first and foremost, there’s one of the tropes i hate most. which is where the fmc is on the mmc’s payroll. okay, i know, i know, the trope is literally described in the sypnosis. but sometimes it can be done well (i.e. assistant x boss romances). this wasn’t one of the good ones and i can easily tell you why: insta-lust.
listen, i want my main characters to be attracted to each other! obviously! but insta-lust ruins it for me. i liked that chase was a flirty, golden retriever-esque book boyfriend. it was a wonderful reprieve from the usual grumpy, emotionally stunted book boyfriend. but the way he pursued bell repeatedly just irked me.
let me circle back in on bell being on chase’s payroll. he’s the CEO of Moore’s and she’s the CEO of her how marketing company, but chase contracts her so, therefore she technically works for him or so she considers him a “client” at her firm. it’s this connection that annoys me, especially tied in with insta-lust.
i get why people might like this, the somewhat forbidden act of it, but it just made me uncomfortable. my only thought while she was getting down and dirty with chase was: why are you risking your reputation for a man? for some dick?
to top it all off? the reason why new york first jilted her so many years ago? because a coworker at a marketing firm lied and said bell was sleeping with clients, and therefore got bell blacklisted from getting any other job in the marketing world (which is why she started her own firm). and gasp! guess what? the coworker who lied is apart of the moore’s original marketing team… and she remembers bell and of course she still hates her.
now, bell should’ve never had to pay for the consequences of something she never did. but the fact is, her old name has a reputation that says she sleeps with clients. and she’d just been humping her latest client (chase) like your friends annoying little dog. and planning/hoping to sleep with him. and to me it’s just like WHY? why would you risk it all for some man? they hardly have a relationship outside their sexual tension and the risk of losing her lifes work is certainly not worth it for a man she hardly knows.
and it’s the fact that with this trope, it is always, ALWAYS the woman risking her everything. sure, chase has something to lose if he gets with her but it was more personal (this whole debacle i’m not willing to get into to do with his family that was completely unnecessary to the plot imo). if bell sleeps with him, she could lose her entire legacy. if chase sleeps with her, he might lose some personal shit which is bad but his career and income will stay intact.
maybe i’m just a sucker for slowburn who would’ve loved to see this play out as lingering stares and secret touches and close calls where they nearly /nearly/ step over that line but they never do it and all the while they’re developing a friendship and actually getting to know each other and only get together once her work personally for him is done and i’m COMPLETELY overreacting and i’m sorry but i can’t get over her risking everything because she’s fucking horny.
anyways, moving on with the plot, they decide “hey, why don’t we have two days together where we date/have sex and no one has to know!” which, of course, you can see is incredibly stupid and not going to end well. obviously, people end up finding out (first his brother, who is a dick, but ends up getting redemption but his entire arc was worked out horribly) and then chase’s dad who is like the main antagonist and also the coworker who lied (remember that? this is a whole mess. and guess what? this coworker is sleeping with chase’s dad!)
the two days end, and at the point no one really knows it has happened, and bell sneaks out the door and chase is all upset like this is something he didn’t agree upon. and then they don’t talk for a week and then chase can’t stand not seeing her anymore so he approaches her and takes her to a storage locker and then they fuck and then he admits that he loves and—
wait… can we rewind for a moment there?
he loves her?
where the fuck did that come from?
it’s a romance book, of course i should’ve expected this. i mean, i knew it was coming. but this scene literally jump scared me. there was no buildup. sure, he admitted he wanted her to be “different” (he was playboy before her, surprise surprise, who only had one-night stands) but there was never any actual build from “hey, this woman is sexy and i want to fuck her” to “oh my god i’m in love with her.” he literally finished fucking her, realised her loved her, and told her. it was so fucking weird.
now, with his random love confession it will be no surprise to you that pacing was off in some places. it was alright until 2/3’s in, but by that point i began skimming through some chapters (which i HATE doing by the way) because it was all very boring and out of the blue and just didn’t fit in. the ending, too, was a complete fucking mess. don’t even ask me to get into it.
i’d like to talk about the fmc, campbell, or as her friends call her, bell. i already went over how i hated that she risked shit just because she was horny but let me talk about one of her character quirks: elvis presley.
okay, so it has a sweet background. her mum loved elvis presley and it was like their thing and her mother (and father too) is now dead so RIP. but elvis presley is a fucking creep. but i’m not going to get in on all that right now. what annoyed me was that bell would just randomly sing elvis songs — at first, this was a really cute quirk. but then she was doing it ALL. THE. TIME. it would’ve been cute if she only did it when extremely happy/sad/angry etc. whatever, you know? but she was literally humming all the time and EVERYONE always heard it. it was so embarrassing and lost it’s interest as something exciting or interesting since she was doing it all the time.
i guess that’s all i have to complain about. i guess my review is more personal preference (seeing as this book has a lot of high reviews), but if any of you happen to share said preferences then this book definitely won’t be for you. i had to resist the urge to DNF about 60-70% in and only continued it because i was determined to add it to my reading goal and rant.

rating : 4/5 people this a one very underrated book this deserves all the hype. This book is literally so amazing the chemistry, the humor the smut is literally off charts. I'm so glad I came across this funny sweet and cute book and I requested it. I thoroughly enjoyed the book so much i would totally recommend this one .
the only thing that didn't set well with me was the timeline the book s so fast paced you feel like you are running past their lives. I also felt that the timing of the incidents happening in the book is literally fast forwarded thats why the impact of the emotionally loaded scenes was a little dampened.
Also the supporting characters weren't talked about much, i would have literally loved to hear more about liz, em and bell and their respective relationships with each other. but KUDOS to the author for creating mike hunt he is the star of the show. The book literally has it all, love at first sight, chemistry , smut. i loved this book.
