Sometimes destiny still wins, even when you try to fight it.....
Anika Usually, Anika wasn't really big on relationships or commitment. But after watching her best friend fall in love with the man of her dreams, she realizes that she wants more. She's pretty sure she's found the man of her own dreams too, but he's insisting on keeping her at arm's length. Anika is determined to find out why he's fighting their connection and get her happily ever after.
David He had tried the whole mate thing once and it didn't work out for him. Having dealt with that horrific pain before, David had sworn off women for good in order to avoid going through it again. But when his wolf claims he's found their fated mate, it becomes a battle of wills. And he has no idea which side of him will win out.
Amanda K. Mann is a Cali girl, born and raised. She’s the mother of two amazing children, both a son and a daughter, and a wife to an amazingly supportive and loving Marine husband. Which means she gets to move every three years or so.
Animal lover and Supernatural addict, she spends most of her free time with her nose stuck in a book or typing away at some new idea that popped into her brain. Her blood type is caffeine and she is a sucker for cute otter pics.
Picking up after Sierra and Lucas's story, we follow Sierra's best friend Anika and her tale with David. His past puts a damper on some parts, but she is such a great character that she helps him realize his past shouldn't control his future. Excited to see how the next book adds to this series.
Amanda K.Mann has done it again, she carried the story over seamlessly and incorporated everything in a way it was almost like just turning the page and here we were, right at the perfect place to start book 2. This set of characters are just as delicious as in book one and oh my the bad guy is still the same yucky person. As always, I give no spoilers and I have nothing but praise for the way Ms. Mann has managed to put a whole story in a quick read package. The characters are always believable and the world building is detailed enough to "see" it in your minds eye but not so much that you lose the story. This new series is much like her others in that there are fated mates, plenty of angst and action and the much longed for scenes have some bang while not being overly graphic. For those that look for this in my reviews, language is minimal maybe at PG-13 and same goes for family friendly. I wouldn't have an issue sharing this book with teens with the caveat that you inform them in advance there are scenes that are revealing of the nature of vile human men everywhere. Definitely worthy of adding to my collection.
He was hurt in his past when his ex told him that she loved him, but a year later told him no after he marked her. She was lonely and went to the bar that's where she meet him. He was friends with her BFF husband and she was already hoping to get to know him better.
I really enjoyed this book. Anika has caught the eye of David, a shifter. She is is type; she is his mate, but he's not ready. David is still carrying around old wounds from his ex and he's not read or willing to put his heart on the line again.
I thought Annika was badass and she wasn't even a shifter. She handled David like an alpha female and made him see that it was either her or nothing at all.
Loved this series! I thought I had already reviewed them but apparently missed it. Each book was short but I prefer a quick straight through read. The series was well constructed, well developed and met all the shifter loving HEA necessary! Loved it!
Ok, these are getting better. It's nice to know and read stories that are about real women. Most of these books are great but live on skinny women. Now bigger women are featured. Thanks,.
Take A peek at a curvy lacy add a shifted wolf and you'll see a bod looking couple! In love but afraid it won't work that is sure sign of a shifted malfunction! But it does well.
This book was funny, in a cute way, it was filled with friendship, loyalty, romance💖, love and getting feelings and emotions to understand the your past does not reflect your future.
Great story he is depressed about a the love of his life, that he won't admit that his rated mate is right in front of him. He promises never again to fall in love, but oh how the bond makes him change. Drama, laughs and a good plot. Ok next in the series.
David is carrying a big secret that prevents him from really loving someone. Anika wants to love and be loved but never thought it would ever happen like this. You have to believe and trust to have a great relationship. Both are cute and loveable characters.
I think I liked this one better then the first one, even though I kept hoping Anika would have made his wolfy butt sweat a little more it was still really good.
This book was absolutely perfect! I am glad to see other characters, especially Anika and David. I loved to see their relationship grow. I defiantly need more of these two!
I could not totally figure out what was happening at first. I still only kind of understand his angst it was a bit melodramatic for me like get over yourself dude
