Jake was supposed to be having a weekend away at a resort with a buddy who had to cancel. Fiona needed to relax after spending her time caring for her mom. Her brother sent her for a weekend away for a well-deserved break at the resort.

At check-in, she and Jake meet and talk briefly. Then she heads for the spa. The warm water drains the tension from her shoulders as she begins to relax. She opens her eyes when she hears a splash and the good-looking guy she met at check-in is beside her, asking if it’s okay to join her. They decide to have a passionate weekend together and nothing more. But by the time he realizes a fling is not enough with this woman, she has left for a family emergency at home. He has no way to contact her, but he is determined to find her somehow. Will he be able to track her down? And did she ever get that morning-after pill since the condom broke, or did the emergency make it slip her mind?

Talk about a connection between Jake and Fiona. Loved this storyline and the characters just clicked so well together. Absolutely thrilled with Jake’s persistence, even though they had an agreement, so glad he tried to despite the obstacles Fiona put in the way. Great ending for this whirlwind weekend.

WOW!! Fab*u*lous Absolutely love this one!! I couldn't put this one down. This was a nice quick, short read.

Jake mets Fiona when they are both headed for a relaxing weekend. Jake's going with another single dad, who has to bail at the last minute. Fiona's mom has been sick, she's been the only one taking care of her, then her brother comes and tells her to go have a relaxing weekend. Jake notices Fiona when they are both checking in. Later Jake finds Fiona in the hot tube and joins her. When they are offered complimentary champagne, Fiona slip and Jake catches her. Jake tells Fiona that he's a single dad and all about his daughter Riley. Jake lets Fiona know that Riley's mother left him to raise her on his own. Fiona opens up about her mom being sick and her taking care of her. While they head up to their rooms they find out they are on the same floor. When they get into the elevator, they start making out. Jake asks Fiona to come to his room, then he tells her he only wants a fling with her nothing more. Fiona agrees, Jake asks her to undress for him. Soon Jake is pleasuring her then they make love. They spend most of the night together and agree to met up the next day. Jake takes Fiona out on a fishing boat he had planned to do with his buddy. They make a little bet and Fiona catches the biggest fish, so Jake treats her to dinner. They head back to Jake's room and make out again. Fiona heads back to her room around four in the morning. Jake wakes up late and finds a note that was slipped under his door from Fiona. She had to leave her mother is getting worse, Jake doesn't know Fiona's last night or her phone number. Six months later, Jake is still looking for Fiona in the town she told him she lived in. Fiona is pregnant, when they left each other she promised him she would take the morning after pill, but then her mother got worse and she forgot. Now Fiona doesn't want Jake to find her so she tells her friends not to let him know where she lives. Jake has been bring his daughter Riley to the park for six months now on Saturday's trying to catch Fiona. Riley is getting tired of coming to this park she wants to play with her friends. Jake promises his daughter they won't come back to this park, he needs to stop searching for Fiona. Jake thinks he sees Fiona so he goes after her and finds her. There's a fence in the way so he doesn't see her belly. When Jake jumps over the fence he sees she's pregnant and gets upset. Fiona tells him she can take care of the baby by herself, she has her friends and family. Jake finds out that Fiona's mother passed away and that's why she forgot. When Riley comes telling Jake she wants to go home, he has no choice so he leaves. After Jake takes Riley home he goes back to Fiona, he followed her home that day and found out where she lived. Jake tells Fiona he won't run away from his responsibility, he wants to be involved. Jake tells Fiona he wants to be a part of his baby's live and wants a sibling for Riley. Fiona offers Jake weekend visits, Jake tells her she doesn't understand. Jake tells her that he's here for her, the weekend they spend together, it was special, he never felt like that before. Jake tells Fiona he loves her and wants to be with her. Fiona tells him she let him down, Jake tells her he wished he was there for her, she's given him a gift. Fiona tells him she's thought about him a lot this last six months, Jake tells her he's here now. Five years later, Riley and her sister, Jenny are jumping on the trampoline and their two year old Tom is napping. Jake tells Fiona they have about five minutes of alone time. Jake and Fiona make love, and he promises a full show later that night.

Sadie King has written a 5-star book. This is the story of Fiona and Jake. Jake was going to meet his buddy Anton for the weekend and he was leaving his daughter Riley with his brother and sister-in-law. This is the first time he has left her for more than a few hours. Fiona has been taking care of her mother and her brother has given her a weekend away. Fiona is in front of Jake when he goes to check in. He likes what he is seeing and thought he would like to get to know her. They talk for a few seconds and they tell the other their names. The next day, Fiona is in the jacuzzi and Jake gets in. They end up talking all afternoon and had made arrangements to have dinner together. He asked her what floor she was going to and when she told him, he said it was his floor too. There is an attraction between them and they end up going to his room. Before anything happens, he tells her that it is just for the weekend and he is not looking for anything more. There is a scary moment when the condom breaks and Jake asked if she was on the pill. She tells him no but she would get the morning after pill when she left on Sunday since she had up to 72 hours. Jake wakes up on Sunday and Fiona is gone. There is a note for him telling him that she got a call and her mother had taken a turn for the worse and she had to go. Jake realized that he was wanting more with Fiona. When he goes to the town she told him she was from to look for her, no one knows anything about her. Jake takes Riley to the playground in the town Fiona is from every weekend so he can look for Fiona. Riley is wanting to go home and not come back and finally Jake tells her that they won't come back when he sees someone that looks like Fiona. At first, she doesn't turn around so that he can see her. But then she does and he sees that she is pregnant. He asked why she didn't let him know. She said she had no way to let him know and that she could take care of the baby on her own. She tells him that she has to go. She is at home eating some ice cream when her doorbell rings. When she answers, Jake is standing there. “Can I come in?” She has spent the whole week thinking about Jake and all that he wanted was a fling. Maybe he came by to continue it. “How did you find me?” I guess Karen or Barney must have caved and given out my address. “I followed you from the park.” Okay, that’s a bit creepy. “I know it sounds creepy.” “But I knew I wouldn’t get another opportunity; I’ve been looking for you everywhere. But I couldn’t speak to you with Riley around.” She doesn't know whether to be freaked out that he followed me or impressed. She tells him she is not sure about things with him. He tells her that he wants to explain. She tells him that he doesn't have to since she knows that he doesn't want another baby. He made that clear to her on that weekend. He tells her that if the baby is his, he wants to be involved. He said that he was a good father to Riley and he would be to this baby. She tells him if he wants to be involved, then they could work something out but she was fine taking care of the baby on her own. She had her brother and friends to help her. She thinks he just came to talk to her because of the baby. He tells her that she doesn't understand, he didn't come for the baby, he came for her. He said that she showed him how to have fun again and he didn't want to lose her.
Can Fiona and Jake work things out and get together?
This was a wonderful book and I would recommend it to anyone.

She awakens his heart...only to disappear before he can tell her

Jake is the second book in the All the Single Dads series. I loved this story which takes the reader on one heck of a romance ride. Jake is the single father to very cute and precocious Riley who is almost three years old. Since Riley's mother left them both he has never been away from her overnight but this weekend he and his buddy Anton, another single father in the support group, are at a resort a couple hour drive away. The plan is to fish, drink beer, relax and maybe even enjoy the spa. But plans change quickly just as Jake is about to check-in when Anton phones to let him know that his son is sick and he cannot leave. Instead of heading home Jake decides to stay and still enjoy himself, just solo this time. But that thought changes quickly when he admires the curvy woman who is checking in ahead of him. Maybe he can have a bit of fun, a weekend fling. Fiona has been looking after her terminally ill mother for the last several months. She has only ever had a bit of a break when her brother comes into town for the day. But this weekend he has sent her to a resort a couple hours away to relax, recharge and have some quiet time to herself. When she turns around after checking in she almost bumps right into a tall, handsome and very sexy man who has her brain spinning and thinking that maybe there can be some other enjoyable things to do this weekend. It will not take long for these two to find their way to each other and quickly fall into a white hot and sizzling fling. It is understood that it will only be for this one weekend. But early on Sunday morning when Fiona receives a call from her brother that their mother has taken a turn she leaves quickly, only putting a note under Jake's door. They never exchanged last names or numbers so even though Jake is thinking he would like more he does not know how to find her, except he knows the town she is from. Will he be able to track down the woman who has captured his heart and made him realize that he does want love and a relationship? If he does what will he find .... more than a few jaw dropping surprises.

Jake is taking his first weekend away since he became a single parent. Being burned by the ex, when she left sneaking out, and leaving a note, did work for him. So, this weekend away for fishing and relaxation is a must. Although, just as he is arriving, his buddy, also a single parent, needs to call to cancel.

He still decides to stay. Doesn't take him long, to determine that he needs, the weekend. reg
Nor does it matter, whether he's alone, or not. Something does prove interesting, is the woman ahead of him in line, the one with a killer body, is putting his lower body into overdrive?

While holding up the line, he finds out her name, is Fiona, she showed up solo, and there to relax also. Jake figures, two birds, one stone. He gets a one-off, and it will relax him. With no worries of dealing with, a relationship.

Fiona is on a similar wavelength mentally due to the fact she has been caring for her terminally ill mother around the clock. She only has this weekend, she has no time for a relationship. No last names, no facts, and no pressure.

But, when one has to leave in a hurry, leaving one feeling they wanted more, but never got the chance to say it, it hurts. Can this person be found, is there a second chance in the future? This is a sweet instalove story.

Good

I enjoyed this story. Jake and Fiona meet at a spa resort where both are there relaxing. They are attracted to one another and agree to a no strings weekend fling. Jake made the no strings terms because he has been raising his daughter alone and doesn’t do relationships since his ex left them. As the weekend goes along he is realizing that he is falling for Fiona and wants more. Before he can tell her Fiona slips away when her sick mother takes a turn for the worst. During the weekend the two had an accident when the condom broke and Fiona promises to take the morning after pill. Her life is turned upside down when she gets back and forgets the pill resulting in pregnancy. Jake can’t let Fiona go and searches for her for six months but she is scared and has people lie for her. She knows he didn’t want more kids and was afraid what his reaction would be when he found out she was pregnant. Jake is desperate to find Fiona, he wants it all with her and will do anything to prove that to her.

Completely safe. No ow/om drama. Both are not virgins but have been celibate for a bit. H only did flings since his daughter was born and his ex left. No abuse.

*spoilers* Jake spends the weekend at the resort, leaving his nearly three year old daughter in the care of her uncle and aunt over night for the first time. The mother left him with a note soon after their daughter was born. He does not want a relationship. When his friend has to cancel on the last minute he still wants to relax and enjoy. He meets Fiona and is immediately attrackted to her. Fiona takes care of her mother 24/7 besides a few weekends when her brother steps in. Hegifted her the weekend. Jake tells Fiona he only wants her body and then it gets steamy. The condome breaks and Jake kind of hurts Fiona with his words, but they open up to each other and end enjoying the weekend with each other very much, not only the sex. Before he can tell her she leaves, because her mother got worse. He has no persona infromation. She also has a secret and does not want to be found. Will he find her and when he sees her, can he accept everything?
Short, steamy and romantic read with interesting characters like a hot single dad and a strong woman. It made me cry and feel with them.

Fiona's brother sent her away for a spa trip to give a time away from taking care of their sick mom. Jake was taking a trip with a single dad friend of his while family watched his daughter. Fiona and Jake meet when they are checking into their hotel and have an instant connection. They run into each other again at the hotel bar and its not long before they are going back to one of their rooms. Everything was going well between them until Fiona's mother took a turn and she had to leave suddenly. Will Jake try to find her? Can they make something more of their time together?

This is an amazing story that will captivate you from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Needing a weekend away, single dad Jake heads to Maple Springs. As soon as he arrives he meets Fiona, who’s also there needing a break from taking care of her sick mother. There’s an instant attraction between them. He wants her, but makes it very clear it’s just a hookup, he’s not looking for a relationship. They end up spending more time together over the weekend and he realizes the more time they spend together he wants more. But before he can tell her she’s left, leaving only a short note thanking him for a good time. For 6 months he searches for her and asks everyone in her town about her, and when he finally finds her he’s definitely not expecting what he finds.
This was another good short story from the series. I liked Fiona, but I thought Jake was an
jerk until he finally got his head out of his a**.

Fiona has been taking care of her sick mother, he brother sends her to a spa for the weekend. When she is in the jacuzzi, the guy she met at the front desk joins her. They agree to a casual weekend only thing. The weekend is glorious but a message from home makes her have to leave before he wakes.

Jake wakes and finds her gone, he realizes he want more with her. Can he find her with next to no information about her?

Jake has a been burned by love and not looking for a relationship and his weekend away with his buddy seems like the perfect time to relax and unwind. Fiona has had a rough few months looking after her sick mother and when her brother sends her away for the weekend it seems like the perfect time to relax and unwind. From the moment Jake and Fiona meet there’s a strong energy that flows between them. What better way to relax and unwind but with a weekend fling. This story had me hooked from the start with the Way Jake was so concerned his daughter would make out without him for ‘two sleeps’. Fiona was a strong woman and thought she was doing the right thing while going through her own heart ache. Another great read in this single dads series.

Wonderful story. Jake is a single dad and doesn’t want a woman in his life. Then he meets Fiona on a weekend getaway and that all changes for him. Fiona is also on a getaway from family responsibilities and spends the time with Jake. At first he makes it clear that he only wants a fling but, she leaves suddenly before he can tell her that he’s changed his mind. Jake spends months looking for Fiona not knowing that she doesn’t want to be found. When he finally locates her can he convince her that he’s fallen in love with her and wants to be with her forever? Join this dad and find out.

Jake is a single dad, taking advantage of time away from his kid. Fiona needs a break after being a caretaker for her mom and needs a break. When they meet electricity cracks between them. Even though they say they don't want a relationship the more time the spent together the more feelings grew. But when Fiona has to leave unexpectedly, Jake is torn. Fiona left to take care of her mother, and later finds out she is expecting.

This is a great fast read, with a number of twists, turns and more of an unexpected surprise. I love the heat and intensity of Jake and Fiona's connections, the passion and love they share will have you melting in your seat.

First things first; I like the cover of this book!
Jake is the second book in the ‘’all the single dads’’ series.
This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Jake is a single father not looking for love. Whilst on a weekend break away, he meets Fiona, what will happen between them?
The chemistry between Jake and Fiona is clear to see and I liked them together.
I liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I look forward to more books from this series.

I really enjoyed this story, it is the second book in the All the Single Dads series and can be read as a standalone story.
Well-written and quick to read, Jake and Fiona meet a resort and have a fun weekend until Fiona disappears for a family emergency and Jake doesn't know how to get hold of her to see if they can make a relationship of their one weekend. Wonderful chemistry between them, some misunderstandings, heartbreak and heartwarming moments. Both Jake and Fiona are wonderful characters. Loved their story.

Oh Jake

Im loving these short qiuck steamy reads of the bad boy single dads! Jake closed himself of to love after his ex left him and his daughter when they weren't good enough and all she wanted was drugs. So for the next 3 years he only needed women for one thing only and that was for a fun release. When he goes away for a weekend he runs into Fiona whose there for a weekend getaway of her own. After 2 days together and lots of fun steamy time together Fiona had to rush home and after Jake realizes that Fiona has opened his heart back up. But Fiona left so quickly that she doesnt know and it takes a while for them to get back to their HEA

I loved this story! Jake was a single dad who met Fiona at a resort. He was there to meet a friend who cancelled and she was alone taking a break from caring for her sick mother. I really like Jake and Fiona's chemistry. I love instalust. Since Jake has been burned before and is focused on raising his child alone he pushes aside every notion of having a relationship. This is very much your typical miscommunication/revelation that yes he can love again story with some spice and a secret baby. Yes, I know I said typical but the tropes wouldn't exist if people didn't love them. I think this was the perfect read before bed length, it was not very angsty and not overly fluffy at the same time, it was just right.

When Jake meets Fiona on a getaway weekend, he tells her he wants a no strings attached fling. Fiona is ok with that because she has enough going on in her day to day life, she figures a relaxing weekend with great sex is just what the doctor ordered.
Storyline is sweet, sexy and of course has a wonderful HEA.
** Small spoiler ** Fiona irritated me a bit towards the end when she was hiding from Jake. Six months of him looking for her while she knew that and she was trying to hide seemed a bit extreme. But that is just my personal opinion. I still enjoyed the story and loved the hea.

This charming story has you all caught up in Jake's and Fiona's drama. They meet when they go away for a weekend retreat. Jake is supposed to meet a friend who canceled at the last minute while Fiona's brother books the weekend for her to getaway and relax after spending so much time with her mother. Their one-night stand will leave a lasting gift one Jake knows nothing about. When he goes looking for Fiona, he finds so much more. Will their reunion lead them to a happily ever after?

Jake and Fiona have good chemistry and even though they agree to something temporary between them, they connect and secretly wanted something more. There is time apart, searching, a secret, realisation and going after what you want before they got to their HEA. Personally I would have liked to have seen a bit more of them together after they sorted things out.

Quick romance with intense chemistry leads to a passionate weekend fling. What happens when Jake and Fiona realize it was more than a fling? Great characters but it seemed a bit rushed. It has a good storyline but could have been better developed. I read lots of instalove romances but this is just too quick and lacks detail.

Good short single dad/surprise baby story. Not my favorite trope with the 6 months of her deliberately dodging him, knowing it was his baby.
