Genesis Hub is down. Zedger has cracked. The soldiers are free. For now.
Marci, Levi, and Mason now have the duty of caring for thousands of disconnects, including the consciousnesses Marci saved from Abrogation. The only way to truly set their souls free is to find a way to Transcendence, the city orbiting Earth, guarded by BloodTitans and indentured Tellurian soldiers.
Transcendence is not what the media portrayed. It is not a place of hope or new beginnings. It hides a secret project the Astrals intend to use to eradicate Tellurians and Alluvials. Astrals won't get the chance if Marci and her team can gain control of Terminal Nine first.
The team's desperate fight for survival takes a dour turn when an old nemesis of Marci's resurfaces to stop her from ruining everything. This time, their battle won't leave her sinking in an abyss alone. When Marci confronts the ghost from the past, she ignites a much larger war than she could've ever anticipated.
Strife enjoys crafting science fiction novels in various subgenres including space opera, cyberpunk, and fantasy. Sometimes she writes about aliens and colonization, other times she sticks to genetic engineering, the supernatural, and corrupt futuristic societies. Strife’s Sci-Fi is often crude and graphic, features strong women, and typically includes people who like to blow s--- up.
E. L. isn’t always in front of her laptop. She enjoys taking the four-wheelers to the coast with her husband and doing donuts in the sand. Strife most enjoys camping in the mountains and soaking in hot springs in the snow, but you're most likely to find her in the gym.
Strife craves learning new things like that crazy stuff called astrophysics and how to work on her 1981 Corvette and her Jeep. She hopes, someday, to add to her list of apocalyptic survival skills by learning to weld.
E. L. has traveled the US and Europe, served in the military, and completed two Bachelor's Degrees in Public Health and Human Sciences. She's toured lava tubes, the NASA center in Houston, castles, concentration camps, the Shelby center in Las Vegas, and many natural wonders. She's even learned to race BMWs at the track in southern California.

An intense, engaging book. Excellent characters and very imaginative, detailed scenes. The glossary at the end was helpful. Back to this series sometime soon.
This one carries on immediately from where the previous book ended. There are new twists to the story as new characters emerge and the plot thickens. Like the previous novels it keeps you fully engaged. The writing technique of viewing the storyline from each of the main characters perspective takes a little getting used to but works well. Things seem to be coming to a head as the various groups emerge, waiting in anticipation.
In this second of the Genesis Hybrid series Ms. Strife has created an entire universe of the future with the same dysfunctional division of hate and prejudice we see in our world today with a distinctive array of means to act upon those prejudices. But with the help of our heroine Marci Fox and her unusual band of friends and allies trouble is brewing for the ones who deem themselves superior. There is non-stop action throughout and this second novel of the series outshines the first. The characters are distinctive and the author's style of switching from the viewpoint of one character tongue next while continuing a flowing storyline makes an interesting read. I highly recommend this novel. I received an ARC and this is my honest eva !nation of this novel.
A futuristic tale of modified humans, controlled and made to kill without thought. Marci, a modified, ex-commander, has escaped fro the clutches of the Astrals and released a virus to save others like her. Levi and Mason, also like her, aid her in her quest to release others and give them back their humanity, protecting Marci at all costs. Plenty of action, battles, good dry humour and it doesn't weigh you down with too much tech. An enjoyable read.
The saga for survival continues, as Marci and her team fight for their people with purpose and conviction. Everyone deserves freedom, peace, and fair treatment to live a full life with happiness and purpose. Perseverance, resistance, and standing firm to defend their land and their people, Commander Marci and her team are fighting with heart and determination to survive. The future depends on it.
The first ciber-punk book I read was William Gibson so long ago I can't remember the title and I still like it. This one is loaded with action and tech. Users and abusers abound in a universe where the limits are always changing. Try it if you like cyber-punk I don't think you will be disappointed.
