A new best friends to lovers romance by Amazon Best-selling Author Gabrielle Snow!
Claire Porter can’t believe she’s been dumped again. Although she’s a success in Boston’s art circles as a gallerist, her love life has always been a mess. And at thirty-three, she’s getting sick and tired of being a hopeless romantic. But at least she has her high school best friend Theo’s support (again!).
Theodore Groff, the CEO of Groff & Groffs, is a billionaire by birth and a businessman by nurture. At thirty-six, he is one of Boston’s most eligible bachelors. He’s witnessed so many of Claire’s failed relationships that even the idea of one doesn’t appeal to him. Plus his life is way too hectic to be focusing on dating anyways.
But what happens when the best friends share an unexpected kiss? Playing with fire might seem like a good idea but that’s only if no one gets burnt…
Maybe Claire has just been going for the wrong guys? And if so, could Theo be her Mr. Right?
Claire's love life is a mess again. Seeing how each of her relationships ends shows Theo her best friend that he doesn't even want to go there. So, imagine his surprise when after her last break up she turns to him. Claire wants to see if there can be more between her and Theo because he really knows her completely and is still there. However, when she kisses him, Theo backs away after kissing her back at first. Theo worries that it could be a mistake. Now when he tries to reach out to Claire the next day she isn't responding. Will this be the end of them or the beginning of a new chapter for them?
This is a great story that will draw you in from the first chapter and leave you wanting more with the last one. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Claire Porter and Theo Groff are longtime friends. Although their careers are solid, love seems to elude them. For him, he is busy and distracted, and watching the mess Claire has made of her love life makes him happy to avoid it completely. Claire has been unlucky at finding happiness. After her last relationship dismally ends, she decides to tell Theo that he is the only one who can accept her honesty. She approaches him and kisses him! And although he is surprised, he kisses her back. She moves to sit on his lap, seeing that he is startled but the hunger in his eyes told her he wasn’t objecting. When she moved on his lap and his body responded, he stopped her, warning that continuing might be something they cannot come back from. But she told him she wanted to see what this was between them and make a decision about it afterwards! Kissing him again seemed to be the permission he was waiting for. She never imagined him like this, and she liked how he made her feel.
He tried to call her the next day, but she wouldn’t answer the phone. He texted that they needed to talk about what happened, but she texted back that they didn’t and she was busy getting ready for a long day at work. She continued to ignore his calls and texts for days after that. Was she afraid or embarrassed? Or was it perhaps the realization that Theo could be her Mr. Right after all? Would Claire embrace the future they could have together? Or would she run in fear of taking such a serious step with her best friend? And ignoring his calls to avoid him would only work for so long . . .
Oh wow! This is the best mistake ever. Claire Porter and Theo Groff have been Best friends forever. After Claire's breakup she decided to hook up with her best friend. That happens to be the best mistake ever for them. Beautiful friends to lovers romance which I really enjoyed and didn't want to finish. Great word building and lovely characters. This is my first Gabrielle Snow book and it was an enjoyable read. The main premise is friends to lovers but the male lead is also the CEO of a billion-dollar company.
We meet the female MC Claire first and she is honestly a little annoying. She's a mess, a little whiny, and indecisive. She seems like she should be much bolder being she is the owner of a successful art gallery. While she does stay that way for a lot of the book you do get to see moments of her going after what she wants and standing her ground. I would have liked her more if she had been less wishy-washy. The way she is described as self-sabotaging suits her perfectly.
The male MC Theo made this book for me. He is able to be everything to everyone at once and does a good job of being the 'good guy'. It says he is able to remain friends with past lovers so he must do breakups well. He has alpha tendencies but doesn't flex them a great deal. He's tough but fair and he lets Claire be herself even when she is not treating him with the respect he gives to her.
Unlike a lot of friends to lovers where one or both want the other but keep it a secret to save the friendship this one seems neither of them has really thought about the other like that before. But a breakup sends Claire spiraling and Theo doesn't sugar coat why he thinks her relationships fail. It takes a night of Theo watching Claire with an ex to have him realize he might just be looking at her differently lately and for Claire, it's a conversation after that which leads her to do something to see what is between them.
This is a slow burn and while I was annoyed at some parts of the story as it picked up and they began to explore what could be between them I found myself becoming more invested. If you like friends to lovers and slow burns you'll enjoy this. Theo and Claire certainly provide some passion when they give into it.
Claire has been dumped and she's struggling with all the reasons Anthony gave her for the breakup, so she calls her best friend Theo to help console and support her.
Theo is there for everyone, his brothers, his mother, his employees, his business, and his best friend. No matter how much it bothers him the way she is in her relationships. This time when she asks him to be honest he is.
This one moment is the catalyst for the two to start looking at each other differently.
When an ex returns to do business with Theo he finds he doesn't feel any attraction to her anymore, but when he sees Claire with her very recent ex he feels an emotion he hasn't before... jealousy.
After a confrontation of the situation, Theo and Claire have a night neither really expected but Claire pulls away after. While Theo reaches out he eventually gives her space wondering if they will ever get back to where they were or move forward.
Do they have it in them to be more or have they ruined a friendship?
'Pulling back for a second, I gazed into his eyes and whispered, “What are we doing?” He ran the tip of his index finger down my cheek, stopping at my chin as he adoringly watched my lips shiver. “What we should’ve done years ago.” It wasn’t what I wanted to hear, and exactly what I needed to hear all at the same time.'
This story is about 2 best friends since high school, Theo and Claire. To say Claire has been very unlucky in finding love and every relationship she has had. Theo has been there to pick her up each time and help get her back together. Theo is a very wealthy and successful man and only wants Claire to be happy. While spending tI e together Claire takes a chance and kisses Theo and enjoys a night with him. Theo doesn’t want to do anything to damage their friendship so Claire reassures him not to worry. When Claire will not return Theo’s calls and texts he gets a bit mad. When Claire realizes that Theo could be the one for her she becomes a bit scared and stays away from Theo and his brother made a comment that he was back with an old girlfriend from the same social circle as Theo. With misunderstandings and fragile emotions and their hearts they both make decisions without all the facts. Once these 2 speak to one another their feelings become clear with a chance at Love! A friends to lovers angsty romance 4* This offering from Gabriella was a well-told, pleasant enough read. I wasn't very taken with Claire's character who was the female protagonist, an art-loving, hippy at heart, romantic, saviour of struggling young artists. Theo, her billionaire, hunky best friend has her back in all circumstances, which is often as Claire has poor ability to choose boyfriends and often ends up with a broken heart. As expected, one night they end up in bed together and Claire is totally unable to emotionally digest the change in their relationship status. After a lot of angst, the couple gets a HEA but only because Theo is willing to face his feelings and forces, Claire, to realise how good they are together. Good editing enhances the experience.

So much for their one night being a mistake! Theo and Claire are lifelong best friends who never took the next step in their relationship. When the inevitable happens all chaos descends on them and their friendship that Claire is not sure what to do or how to handle what happened with Theo. Although they have both had relationships with others their friendship is what has sustained the test of time. Claire is quire flighty and not really a person for a commitment but Theo does not give up on them and pursues Claire to win her and show her that they are good together. Taking a chance was worth it in the end. A wonderful quick, fun read that I loved and fell in love with all the Groff brothers. Cannot wait to read the next book by Ms Snow.
I received an arc copy from the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Claire and Theo have been best friends for most of their lives. Seen the good, the bad, the ugly, the giddiness, the affairs, the breakups and the aftermath. They probably know each other better than they do themselves. But when the aftermath in question is after each other, none of the usual rules apply. All bets are off, and the heat between them burns unabated. None of their exes will ever stand a chance again. Changing the rules is risky but this is a one well worth taking.

It was so good to get back to a book by Gabrielle Snow and the easy flow of her story telling. Not always smooth sailing, but always a romance with a HEA. Claire and Theo had been friends for about half their lives. Always there to support the other, sharing both ups and downs. It is only now when things fall apart in her current relationship that one decision can change their future. I think this is going to be a titillating series with four brothers finding their partners, at least I hope so.
I really enjoy friends to lovers romance so I was excited to read Mr. (always) Right Gabrielle Snow. Claire and Theo have been best friends for years. While Claire may have successful career as a gallery owner, her love life needs serious help. Theo is there for her after every break up but one kiss will change their lives forever. Can these two best friends find happiness with each other or fear of losing their friendship keep them apart? Definitely recommend.
This is a best friend to lovers book, Clair and Theo have been best friends do a long time. Clair has had unlucky in finding love, she is always finding the Mr. Wrongs! And every time she has a bad breakup Theo is always there to put her back together again!
After her latest breakup, she ends up kissing Theo and they end up sleeping together. Then Clair starts being awkward towards Theo, and avoiding him at all cost! I highly recommend this book!
Theo and Claire have been friends for a long time. They both live their own lives until one kiss changed everything. These individuals are complicated and have to maneuver their friendship carefully for their HEA. This is a well written story with interesting characters. Claire is going through yet another break up and her world is falling apart again but as always she has her best friend Theo by her side and he does what he can to give her all he can.
But can she take his all and will they still be best friends if she does...
This book is a good start to a new series and it is slow burn but oh it is good.
This was a mess of a book, but in a good way. I really enjoyed it. Claire was just a mess, but I loved how Theo really grounded her. It’s a saying that the best romances start with friendship and this story proves it. This is my first Gabrielle Snow book and I’m glad I decided to read it. I’ll for sure read more. 😊
Honestly I have not disliked a heroine the way I disliked Claire in a lonnnng time. Honestly Theo deserved way better. I was on his brother's side. Really infuriating. I hope the author doesn't have other women as main characters that are like Claire. I'm not jumping into another read if they even remotely resemble her.
The author has given us a wonderful story that pulls us into the lives of Claire and Theo and does not let go. They may be best friends, but they have underlying feelings for each other.

It’s a well written book but not exceptionally endearing. Our heroine sounds like a hot mess most of the time while our hero is constantly her savior. His one brother Vincent and her best friend Emma were pathetic as far as I was concerned. Basically this book was rather sad to me.
