An ancient inscription raises more questions than answers.
Shadow and the Nephilims’ hunt for Black Cronos is far from over. When they find a hideout, they discover an ancient Sumerian stone tablet that forces them to rethink the Nephilims’ history – and Black Cronos’s plans. It seems their quest for the ultimate warrior is far from over.
The hunt takes them back to the desert, and resumes the search for a civilisation long thought buried.
Harlan’s involvement with the Paranormal Division isn’t over, either. In fact, it’s just beginning, and it seems there’s more to JD than he realised. And more to Black Cronos, too.
As tensions rise, what they uncover could change everything.
Double agents, betrayals, murky occult organisations, and nonstop action, make this the best instalment in the White Haven Hunters series yet!
If you love magic, mystery, and danger, with plenty of action, intrigue, and humour, you’ll love Hunter’s Dawn.
I'm a writer, a pagan, and a witch, and consequently love all things magical. I write fictional books about witchcraft and the paranormal, and they are jam-packed with fabulous characters, colourful settings, plenty of action, and lots of humour.
I was born in England, in the Black Country, but moved to New Zealand in 2006. I lived near Wellington with my partner Jase, and my cats Sacha and Leia. However, in April 2022 we moved again! Yes, I like making my life complicated… I’m now living in the Algarve in Portugal, and loving the fabulous weather and people. When I’m not busy writing I read lots, indulge in gardening and shopping, and I love yoga.
Confession time! I’m a Star Trek geek – old and new – and love urban fantasy and detective shows. Secret passion – Columbo! Favourite Star Trek film is the Wrath of Khan, the original! Other top films – Predator, the original, and Aliens.
In a previous life I was a singer in a band, and used to do some acting with a theatre company. For more on me, check out a couple of my blog posts. I have also written a blog about how I finally became comfortable about calling myself a witch. It's called Leaning into my Witch.
This series just keeps getting better and better! Each story builds on the previous story. The history lesson given in each one also builds on each story. As someone who loves researching the past history of civilizations on our planet, this book just added to that knowledge base. I didn't even think it was possible to uncover more information about the Annunaki and the Nephilim! An amazing journey! Loving this series very much!
Wow what an exhilarating read this was, full of action and tense scary moments for all involved. After returning from France it was obvious that the battle with Black Cronos was far from over and the PD contracted our team of hunters to continue the fight. Upon discovery of an ancient tablet which was tied to an ancient race of hybrids the Nephilim, Shadow, Estelle and the Contessa Catarina embark on a trip to the desert in Turkey in search of an underground city of the Igigi. However what they found there was astounding and terrifying and Toto and the Silencer of Souls were there ahead of them with a massive army and their very deadly high grade weapons. Can they finally defeat this deadly foe? Who was really behind the Black Cronos? Was there someone else immortal like JD? So many questions are raised in this book, as much of what they knew was toppled over it's head. The Nephilim are back in their environment but disturbing questions about their history are raised. I love all the Hunters' books series and always seem to think that the current book is the best so far but this one really beats them all for tension, action, betrayals, loyalty and love and the description of the desert in Turkey and the underground city are awesome.
Hunter's Dawn was intriguing and hair raising in the race against the Black Cronos and the Silencer of Souls as they get ever closer to discovering just who is really at the top of that organization and what their nefarious intentions really are. It has been such a true pleasure to watch the brothers grow personally and see them learn to blend into the present. Many of us have our favorites and I absolutely do, but the one that I have seen come the furthest in the story has been Shadow. While she is Fae and not Nephilim I think the culture shock has been greater from her perspective and I have enjoyed seeing her learn our strange ways. I think the one that steals in and surprised me most in this installment, has been JD. I have never liked nor trusted his character and still don't actually, but I feel I understand him better now than ever before. This book definitely brought out my Indiana Jones and Lara Croft fan geek side, but I was so caught up with the sheer amount of detail that it was like I was seeing the very items described. Beautifully written and thank you so much TJ Green for this incredible series!
Great Story! I’ve just finished reading the fabulous Hunter's Dawn! The cover story is a bit of a red herring or not? Yes, we do discover so much about our Dark Angels but I promise you, they are just as amazed as we are. We start a few weeks after the finish of Dark Star and battering that our friends received and nearly died. Wounds have nearly healed but the grievance hasn’t. Gabe, Shadow and the crew go off on a fairly routine-ish job for HM Secret, Secret, Service. TJ Doesn’t do routine though, does she! And so they soon find out and the promise of doing this job, would enable them to destroy Black Cronos and his demented sidekick, almost doesn’t come off. To read this as a stand-alone can be done of course but the back story would drive a person nuts. So I would suggest that you start with book 1 of the Whitehaven Hunter's series; Spirit of the Fallen. Of course one should really start with, the Whitehaven Witches to know the whole story of the Fallen Angels and Shadow, and how they, accidentally, fell onto Whitehaven Church and graveyard!
Hunter’s Dawn, the book we have been waiting for has arrived and it truly doesn’t disappoint!!
Once again T J Green together with her imagination has given us a great plot which flows from the beginning to the end. Along the journey she releases more information about Shadow (a Fey) and the 7 Nephilims (Fallen Angels) which we met in her previous books.
Another locking of horns (metaphorically speaking) with the Black Cronos puts our heroes in the Desert trying to discover whether secrets from their past are coming back to haunt them. A fast moving fantasy with lots of twists and which isn’t easy to put down.
There are lots more surprises in this book to discover but I don’t want to spoil it for the reader.
Great book TJ looking forward to joining you and the Hunters in your next book.
This is a paranormal thriller drawing on Sumerian myth and the personal history of the Nephilim protagonists – lots of interest here, and an epic battle in a fantastic location. There's a good balance in the use of powers by the different characters.
However, for me the story didn't flow well. It started in depressing government offices with a cascade of names I could barely place, having read the last book in the series five months ago. A roll-call of characters would be helpful at this point. There seemed to be a long time between the first skirmish and anything else actually happening. And then when the main party is in Turkey, too many scenes set in London. The emphasis on interpersonal relationships grated somewhat as well (even some of the characters didn't seem too happy about this!). And as ever, the language could be cleaner with benefit.
The Nephillim and Shadow are still on the trail of the evasive Black Cronos.
Estelle is enjoying being part of the team. The Black Cronos are ruthless in their persuit of uncovering the Igigi. They don't care if they destroy anything historical in their path. Their sole purpose is to uncover a lost city and what they can use in their gruesome expiriments. The Nephillim prove that they have drive and determination in their quest to twart Black Cronos. They have quite the battle on their hands. Will they succeed?
It's fast moving and action packed. It's a very enjoyable read and I look forward to their next venture.
TJ is a consistently thrilling writer. I found myself trying to skim in many places to get to the end of the "scene" The Nephilim, Shadow, and Estelle find themselves once again chasing Black Cronos through the deserts of Turkey. The Igigi, of legend, are the target of Black Cronos but why? Follow their trails and trials to find just what Black Cronos is after, apart from the Igigi. This book keeps you reading as long as you have charge on your device. Again I would recommend T.J.Green to everyone.

Do not miss out you will love it.
What an awesome story! The Nephilium are trying to stop Black Cronos from finding the underground city of the Igigi. The world building is phenomenal. The action is explosive, it starts and doesn't stop until the end. I can't wait to read what assignment the Paranormal Division sends the Nephilium on next. If it's anything like this one, it's going to be one wild ride.
I voluntarily offered my honest review in exchange for an ARC copy of this book.
This is a brilliant read. Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start. Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believable. Great suspense and found myself second guessing every thought I had continuously. Can't wait to read what the author brings out next. Recommend reading.
I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.
Just what I needed, a good easy read with a good story line. If this book interests you it's really necessary to read from the first book to be able to follow the story line with enjoyment. The book is about a group of ancient relic hunters who consist mainly of Nephilim one fey and one witch, there are also other main characters that are equally relevant but not saying more if you want to read the book, it's worth it if you like the paranormal genre.
Great story. This story takes you to the area of the Nephilim’s past. The background of the Sumerians and the hints at the events that happened before the arrival of the Nephilim in England make the story even more interesting. The fact that the Black Cronos are involved enhances the adventure. I received this as an ARC for review and truly liked it.
As in previous books in this series, the Nephilim & Shadow get drawn into a civilization altering drama that they must stop. Meeting a race of beings that were previously enemies of the Nephilim & thought it be extinct has potentially fire consequences for them as they band together to defeat Black Cronos.
I love TJ's reads. I do so admire her knowledge on different areas and subjects and the way her story telling just flows into her books. I found this book her most exciting read yet and couldn't put it down, so was read in a nano second ! Looking forward to reading book 5 in the Hunters series. Can the next one be any better ? Without a doubt, yes !
No spoilers from me. I am in awe of TJ's imagination in writing this book. You feel as though you want to read it quickly so you know what has happened at the end. The book was interesting and imaginative and I though my enjoyed reading it and look forward so much to reading the next book. I really recommend it.
Magical, action, adventure, mystery! Shadow, Gabe and gang take a job in the desert, searching for a civilization thought long dead. Go on an unpredictable adventure with this interesting story with wonderful characters and see what secrets will be revealed.
Loved all the characters, how their friendships keeps evolving. I J.D's old English gives me a giggle when he used it. Love the love story of Gabe and Shadow. As with the previous books, I will be reading it again and again.
I have read book 3 and 4 in two day as I couldn't but them down. But as always all the books that I have read written by tj Green once I start I have to finish can't wait on book 5 coming out
Love love love, this is another continuation story from dark star and we see the nephilim travel to their home land to face an old enemy as well as black cronos. As usual TJ provides a rip roaring story to keep the reader enthralled!
Unfortunately it would seem this is the last of the series. They have been brilliant - easy to read, exciting, well paced and with characters you care about. I am really sad to have finished this series but will move on to The White Haven Witches. Thank you!!
Love the continuing story and development of characters. This book was really exciting and I couldn't put it down. This is a great series of books. Can't wait for the next adventure
The Comte san Germaine , is in outlander and other books, always alluded to an underworld, these are like the breadcrumbs of Hansel and gretel and I find the need to read more. Another enjoyable book
I have loved all of the White Haven books so far(Hunters and Witches) and will endeavour to read them as they are released. Looking forward to WHH#5 being released at the end of the month 🤞and will be pre ordering. And anticipating the next WHW release too
The author has such an imagination it really transports you to another world. Everybody is so different, yet the characters lives I'm now so invested in continue to intrigue. Thank you
Absolutely brilliant, this book kept me up as I couldn’t put it down! Amazing plot, well written, characters that you worry about as they seem so very real! I highly recommend this book!
Fabulous read, another very exciting mission for Shadow and the Nephilim. Loving how the characters develop and new ones are introduced. Very intriguing storylines.
