He’s gone. Hunter graduated and moved away to pursue his dreams of playing in the NFL. We said nothing would change, that we could do long distance… but can we really make it work? While Hunter’s alone and travelling from city to city, I have Seth, and Lucas, and Alex to keep me occupied. It’s just not the same. Especially when my calls go unanswered and long distance romance turns into long distance problems.
I once again have a serious love hate relationship with Hunter. I want to like his character so bad, and seriously sympathize with his addiction issues. However, he definitely doesn’t treat Rachel the best! I am so glad he redeems himself towards the end. Also can we just talk about Seth and Alex?! I am so invested in that part of the story! I NEED to know what happens next with them! This book is once again spicy and involves mxmxmxf, and one on one scenes. Love this series and can’t wait to read the next one!
This is book 6 in the series and Hunter has left to play in the NFL. His addiction issues come back to haunt him, mainly because he is alone and feels isolated. However, he could have done more to help himself. He should have been more open about his drinking with the team and I think he would have fared better. Everything isn’t roses back in Aurora either. Alex and Seth are struggling with emerging feelings, and Rachel’s life is based around waiting for any contact from Hunter. Which he’s not great at doing. I do like that Carmen Black deals with issues that affect people in everyday life. It makes the book more relatable.
I received an arc and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Very addictive series that started with RoomHates, and just keeps giving. An R/H with generous chemistry and more emotional energy than I’ve seen in a book or series of this genre. They get better every time , can’t wait for Lucas.
I enjoyed reading Hunter(Life in the Brohouse Book 6)!! All about Rachel who is a Junior in college studying Art & her roommates/boyfriends Seth is a senior who runs, Alex is a senior who runs, Lucas works in the cafe and writes & Hunter is in Chicago playing football with the Bears. Hunter has left his college roommates and is pursuing his life long dream of being in the NFL, it’s lonely and he’s having a rough time, not all it’s cracked up to be. His support system is in Colorado, and though he can call Dr. Forester at any time, and Rachel or his bros he doesn’t. Read about Rachel & her bros and see what being out in the real world does to everyone!! Lots of emotion and toe curling does occur. Can’t wait to read book 7!!! Definite Read!!!
This is book six in the Brohouse series. These books should be read in order because the story picks up where the prior book left off. This book focuses more on Hunter and his journey after graduation. He leaves the brohouse and moves to Chicago to play in the NFL. Time away and old addictions contribute to problems for Hunter both professionally and in his relationship with Rachel and the other bros. While this book does focus on Hunter, we also continue with the stories of Rachel and the other bros, Seth, Alex, and Lucas. More specifically the relationship between those guys and Rachel, as well as the budding attraction between Seth and Alex.
The next step for the group will be Hunter and Lucas graduating and Hunter going to the NFL. This semester will see many changes with lots of emotion, reactions to be made.
Will Hunter be able to remain sober being away from the security and support from the gang?
I am looking forward to see what happens for the group they have been together for another year, let's see what fate has in store for them in the coming year!!!
Hunters addiction issues causes him to treat Rachel and friends distantly. He made me angry so many times but Ms Black showed us what addiction can do and how it effects others. In time, he an Rachel work it out and he has to make major career decisions.
I love Hunter! He's definitely my man in this RH. Hunter is definitely fighting his demons in this book. When he leaves to pursue his NFL career, will he make the cut???
This is Hunters story but it involves the whole group. Hunter gets into the NFL playing for the bears. He’s trying to have a long distance relationship ship with Rachael. He thought his life would be perfect once he hit his dream of the NFL. But it’s not what he thought it would be. Things have been rough for him the year before now a year sober and away from all his support he is struggling. Rachael has a bad feeling when Hunter doesn’t video chat or text as much. She still has Alex,Seth ,and Lucas but misses Hunter. Alex and Seth have their own struggle going on and aren’t sure how to what to do. This book leaves a lot untold. Hunter makes changes in his life but it typed up to best it wouldn’t be that easy. Otherwise I read the others before in the series abs glad I read it. I received a arc copy for a Honest review
Hunter leaves to join the NFL. This is his dream. But he’s struggling because he is alone. He left Rachel and the bros back at home. How will him and Rachel do long distance?
Hunter has a whole new life! He’s a professional NFL player. He has teammates he’s trying to get to know. They all go out and party and Hunter can’t give in to temptation. His past alcohol abuse has him in a constant state of anxiety.
Rachel endlessly worries about Hunter. And it doesn’t help that they barely speak because he’s so busy. Will Hunter give into his teammates partying and take a drink? Will he and Rachel survive the distance?
Hunter is such a sweetheart but he gets overwhelmed so easily. I feel like Hunter is a little lost. I love his journey in this book. He finally understands where he wants his life to go. And of course, now I’m ready for Lucas’ book!!
I enjoyed Hunter’s story even though I wanted to kick his ass through most of it! This is the sixth book in the series, and I’ve been a fan from the beginning. This book was fantastic! I enjoy watching this reverse harem fight their way through adversity and struggle to remain together as they accomplish life goals.
I worried about Hunter being on his own after all he went through getting sober. I think he felt obligated to try his career out, but the grass isn’t always greener on the other side. Also why would he leave the love of his life for it?! I’m super curious to find out where things will go from here, and what will happen with Lucas after the news he received! Love this series l, and can’t wait for the next book!

“Hunter” is the sixth book in Carmen Black’s Life in the Brohouse series. This book continues the story of Rachel and her men (Hunter, Lucas, Alex, and Seth). This book focuses more on Hunter's relationship with the group as he graduates university and moves to Chicago to start his career in the NFL. Being in a long-distance relationship with Rachel and the bros is difficult and Hunter struggles with his past addictions.
I love this series so much! The storyline is interesting and the character development is solid. Scarlet Lantern Publishing got me hooked from the very beginning and I can’t wait to read the next one!
