A tad convoluted

It's all over the place initially, lots of seperate threads that seem to have no relationship to each other. In the end they do come together, but it takes a lot of the book before that happens
As to the main characters, you have to start wondering how they have managed to get this far, let alone potentially win. It's a calamity of errors, with no one actually taking the lead and them bumbling along from one misadventure to the next
After 7 books, book 8 is a definite, but only just

Starlit Path A Sci-Fi Thriller (Gunn and Salvo #7) by Joshua James

The action continues to build towards the conclusion of the series. Grey is back in full evil form, and the Dolus look set to find and extinguish the last thing holding them back from domination. At the same time, strife within the good guys' team rises steadily -- they'll be challenged to put aside their differences long enough to beat the bad guys. And on the human level, it's Gunn's turn to have his heart torn out and feel the fear of losing Salvo.

Solid, fast-reading series from an accomplished and prolific name. This builds well on the previous six books, while setting the stage for the culmination of the series. Entertaining and easy to read, highly recommended.

I enjoyed Starlit Path. At the beginning there were LOTS of characters from earlier books to catch up with and explain. The author did a fine job of it. However, this took pages away from moving the plot forward and the book is short which was a bit disappointing for me. This is a great story with fascinating, original characters. I’m anticipating a wonderful ending to this series soon!

Gunn and Salvo are back and so is all the action and craziness they always seem to find. I laughed, I groaned, I shook my head but was totally entertained as usual. Glued to the end to see what they must face and overcome. And see them at their best and survive it all.

Salvo mourns the loss of Gunn as she and Okoli try to find a way to beat the Dolus. Some surprising twists come about in this action packed 7th installment!

Once again Gunn & Salvo, the Bounty Hunters are on the hunt. Each time seems to get more dangerous. They are definitely great at it but will they be able to stay safe. Intriguing always.
