Heroes aren't supposed to drive beat-up old trucks, and they don't go around breaking a girl's heart. But Garrett Grayson, Macy Joyce's particular hero, does both of those things. Well, Macy doesn't need a hero, just a little bit of help around her ranch. Someone to figure out who's been cutting fences and throwing rocks through her windows. Garrett, who's on leave from the Army, can certainly handle the job. But can Macy handle the way her pulse quickens every time she sees him? Can she handle the way her six-year-old son is starting to look at this man who's lived in her heart since high school? Can she handle it when Garrett leaves-which she knows he will? As far as Garrett is concerned, the only good thing he's ever done for Macy is leave her behind. He never did deserve a girl like her. But when Macy's brother-and Garrett's former best friend-calls and asks him to help protect her, Garrett agrees, knowing it's only for a short time. Surely he can work on the ranch without getting involved with her. Ever since his misspent youth, Garrett's been trying to redeem himself, to show everyone in the little town of Heartstring that he's not the troublemaker he once was. Breaking Macy's heart again will just prove he hasn't changed a bit. So he's going to stay away from her. He'll just ignore the way his heart feels too big in his chest whenever he sees her, or how she's grown into a gorgeous, sexy woman. He won't let his feelings show. No matter what. Problem is, he hadn't counted on how tough it would be to walk away-again-from the only girl he'd ever loved.
Mary Sue Jackson is the romance pen name created for all those cowboy dreamers! This Montana-based cowgirl is a rancher, and knows what hard work means. But despite being up at dawn and working past dusk, she still finds time for what she really loves... romance! With so many hours spent alone, riding across the seemingly never-ending expanse of grasslands, she has plenty of time to dream of love and the romantic tales of ranch life.
When Mary Sue's not out on the grasslands dreaming up her next story, she's most often spending time with her own personal hunky rancher, her husband. One of Mary Sue's favorite activities is to ride the ranch with her husband in the evening and hold his hand as they watch the sun go down over the prairie.
Well-known rodeo cowboy Lucas Meyer is concerned that his rodeo days may be coming to an end due to old injuries, aches, and pains. For now, he is helping his friend Remington at his cowboy camp over the Summer. The camp’s resident physical therapist is Georgia Nathan. She and her daughter Paige had a bad situation with Georgia’s abusive ex, so Georgia no longer trusts cowboys. Although Lucas isn’t comfortable around children, Paige finds a way to get closer to him, giving him advice and even convincing him to give her lessons.
The more he is around Georgia and Paige, life on the rodeo circuit doesn’t seem as important as a future with the two of them. Will he be able to get Georgia to trust him and give him a chance? Will he tell her his thoughts about giving up the rodeo so he would be with his family instead?
Uncertainty abounds Cowboy's Single Mom (Collier Cowboy Camp Book 3) by Leslie North is a sweet romance that takes two characters that are dealing their own feelings of uncertainty and in some ways, also denial. Georgia is healing, along with her daughter, but it seems that Paige is coming along quicker than she thought. Paige and Lucas make an unlikely connection almost immediately. Lucas, a hotshot rodeo superstar, is as certain as he is uncertain. In denial about what his body and his heart is telling him, he falls back on old habits. Georgia's history and fears rear their ugly heads and Lucas allows himself to be pushed away. The plot of Georgia and Lucas learning about one another, developing trust and growing feelings is all good until it's not. Lucas is good for Georgia and both Georgia and Paige are good for Lucas. Overall, Lucas realizes that his heart's need for Georgia and Paige far exceeds his want for any more fame from the rodeo. I loved the ending of this book, wrapping up the characters from the previous books in this series, along with an adorably sweet and promising HEA for Georgia and Lucas. Lucas is taking a break from the rodeo, and has come to the Collier ranch to help train some of the riders. Georgia, and her daughter, Paige, live on the ranch as she's the physical therapist there. She left her abusive ex and is very wary of men, Paige is also very careful around people. Lucas isn't a teacher and finds it hard to get his pupils to do what he wants, Paige gives him some pointers. Lucas is very attracted to Georgia but realises that she has lots of issues, he doesn't want to push. Georgia has feelings for Lucas and is amazed at how much Paige seems to get on with him.

Single mom Georgia is living quietly on a ranch, doing physical therapy on rodeo folk and raising her daughter Paige. Lucas is a rodeo bull rider teaching at the ranch for a few months. I love him hitting it off with Paige, completely forming this friendship with a shy and healing little girl. I love how he and Paige are with each other. She really tells him what he needs AND IS SPOT ON. I hate that he spent so much of his focused on what his a family wants than being a man and figuring out the life he wants. I like how he really respects the boundaries Georgia has. And I like his dad once we actually spend time with him.

Another rodeo cowboy finds his cowgirl for life. Georgia is the resident physical therapist at the Collier Ranch. She is a divorced single mom putting her life back together. Lucas is a bull rider who is visiting to assist Remington by teaching classes at the ranch. He is hurting and stoically refusing to acknowledge his pain. One of the best characters in the story is Paige who is Georgia’s 7 year old daughter. She is funny and witty. She is als the glue that holds the relationship between the two adults together. The author subtly explores the issues of mental abuse and shines a positive light on the character for getting out and seeking help. Georgia and Lucas make an unlikely couple which makes their happy ending even sweeter.
A lovely romance. This was such a good book if you have read any of the other books in the series you will have met Georgia and her daughter Paige they are two of best characters and I adored them. Lucas a rodeo star comes to the camp to give a few lessons due to a request by an old friend. Little did he know this was going to change his life forever. I enjoyed getting to know the characters story and seeing both Lucas and Georgia fall in love but Lucas and Paige now that was brilliant. I highly recommend this well-written gem I am so glad I read it. I did receive a free copy of this book from Booksprout and voluntarily chose to review it.
Lucas is facing the possibility of having to end his radio career because of injuries and the wear and tear on his body. He doesn’t want to go out like that because he does not have a back up plan. Lucas is teaching a class at the Collier Cowboy Camp when he meets the shy little girl, Paige. He doesn’t teach little kids the only reason he agreed to Remington‘s proposal was that he would get to teach aspiring rodeo stars. But little Paige grows on him and he gives into teacher and her mother is ecstatic. Georgia, Paige’s mother, is the resident PT there. They make a mutually beneficial agreement for Lucas to give Paige lessons it was supposed to be no strings attached but they each catch feelings. The girls have dealt with so many disappointments in life will Lucas add to them?
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Lucas is facing the possible end of his rodeo career and doesn't want to. Teaching at the Collier Cowboy Camp once he gets help from Paige and Georgia may be what he needs. Lucas helps Paige and Georgia get courage of going after what they want but doesn't take his own advice. It takes his students and two girls he fell in love with to make him realize that he can have Georgia and Paige in his life with a life after competing in the rodeo.
Lucas is loud, brash and a little awkward around people but that's ok because he will always have the rodeo...won't he? Lucas doesn't do emotion, he doesn't understand it, he understands winning, being the best you can. But seeing the timid Paige and quiet Georgia burrow into his heart and slowly teach him that it's ok to not know, to not understand, to ask for help and to feel is heart warming. A very sweet finish to the Collier Cowboy Camp series which I read on Kindle Unlimited.
This is a good addition to an already good series. There is a different look at what abusive relationships can look like and Ms. North hits it on the head with this one. The depth of character development in a book of this length is impressive. With just enough steam to keep it real, I would recommend this book to readers who enjoy the growth of the characters and some romance. I received a complimentary copy of this book and I am leaving my honest review.
Another great addition to the series! This is Lucas and Georgia's story. The author does a terrific job building their story and paints her scenes perfectly. I loved watching him turn from a gruff and impatient to patient and understanding teacher. Also loved his relationship with her daughter Paige. It's well written, moves fluidly and is a great read.
I voluntarily reviewd an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
loved reading this series of connected books - this I where Lucas has to come down a peg or two and Georgia has to let herself be open to love again - mix in daughter Paige and this makes for more fun for them on the road to their HEA!
