Visit a small town full of fated mates and magical secrets. This box set includes the first three Folk Haven stories, Seduced by a Selkie , Sucker for a Siren , and Swearing at a Sea Monster . Book 1 - SEDUCED BY A SELKIE All Delta needs is a cozy home, an odd dog, and a coffee shop with good wifi. She does not need a selkie bent on seduction. With Delta’s focus on the road out of town, Calder scrambles to discover what, if anything, could make her stay. He’s willing to use all means of pleasure at his disposal to convince his mate that Folk Haven is the perfect place to call home. Especially if you’re a mythical creature. Book 2 - Sucker for a Siren Neri wants a new home, a good book, and a freshly baked bear claw. She does not want a selkie getting sassy with her because she saved his life. After an awkward break up with both a man and her parents, Neri left her old life behind, determined to figure out what kind of person, and siren, she wants to be. An ungrateful selkie is only a distraction. But in a small town, the two continue to cross paths, and Seamus finds himself giving in to the call of the siren’s intelligence and humor. After a passionate encounter, the selkie wonders if the gods had the pairing right all along. But Seamus can’t rely on fate when Neri refuses to even consider mating the man who ran from her in the first place. Book 3 - SWEARING AT A SEA MONSTER Moira enjoys a well-run town, cozy mystery novels, and swimming in the ocean. She does not enjoy being in the same room as a sea monster. And yet on the pair’s quest to cleanse a piece of lakeside property, the two mythical enemies find themselves on common ground. Ground they lay down on, roll around on, and maybe lose a few pieces of clothing on. But secrets of the past and new dangers to the town of Folk Haven threaten a fragile romance between the selkie and the sea monster... Discover the magical town of Folk Haven, where many of the townsfolk know their neighbors are creatures of legend. Fans of Molly Harper, C. M. Nascosta, and Gena Showalter will want to dive into this series.
Lauren Connolly is an award-winning author of contemporary and magical romance stories. She’s lived among mountains, next to lakes, and in imaginary worlds. Lauren can never seem to stay in one place for too long, but trust that wherever she’s residing there is a dog who thinks he’s a troll, twin cats hiding in the couch, and bookshelves bursting with stories written by the authors she loves.
This box set includes all three Folk Haven stories:
Seduced by a Selkie (#1) Sucker for a Siren (#2) Swearing at a Sea Monster (#3)
*** Reviewing “SUCKER FOR A SIREN (#2)” *** Seamus and Neri . . .
Seamus MacNamara is a siren who doesn’t believe in fated mates and the stories about a rescue. When the barista he has been flirting with has to perform the Heimlich to rescue him when he choked on a cookie, he was a bit flustered.
Neri Onassis couldn’t understand why the handsome man freaked out when she tried to help him? Oh well, she is here to start her life over and figure things out. The grouchy man doesn’t deserve her attention. After all, an ungrateful selkie is only a distraction she can push aside, right? But why can’t she get him off her mind?
Not gonna lie, book one was my absolute favorite, as our couple were all kinds of cute and cozy together and if it were by itself instead of part of a set I'd have rated it 5/5. Book 2 was probably 3/5 mostly because the hero suffered from such spectacular foot in mouth disease that he probably needed to seek professional help and I spent a lot of his book not really liking him. With book 3 the heroine was the biggest problem. All this being said, the dialogue, the subsidiary characters, and world building were enjoyable enough to help gloss over the issues and I will look for more of the series.
This was a great boxed set filled with a series that will keep you entertained from beginning to end thanks to the well written character work and story line in each book. I have read and reviewed each book separately and I enjoyed the books more having them together in one collection for my reading ease.

I loved Folk Haven so much I read the series twice through. I couldn’t stand to leave it when I finished the first time. I love the smart heroines, relatable social struggles, and intriguing magic. I’m really looking forward to future books set in Folk Haven!
Interesting world building - I got my happily ever after - lots of cool creatures - but, can we cool it on the bestiality/ sea creature sex please?! Blech... It was like The Shape of Water all over again...
Also, her obsession with the word “minuscule” is annoying - pick another descriptor please.
