Tess is the Gamma of Blackstone pack, the strongest pack in the Northwest. Or, used to be strongest. Since Tess's Luna became pregnant, the pack's strength has faltered. Luna Addie's pregnancy doesn't go as planned and excited for the new life quickly fades to concern as Addie becomes increasingly ill and barely able to leave bed. Blackstone pack and their allies have done everything in their power to try to help Addie but nothing has helped and so Tess volunteers to look for someone at the national meeting of supernatural down in Atlanta, Georgia, in the hopes that she can find a healer that might be able to help her Luna.

It's at this great gathering of supernaturals that Tess meets her mate, Kane. It's obvious to her right away that he is a strong Alpha but she doesn't know which pack he leads. As she learns about him she discovers some unexpected news she wasn't quite ready to hear about the mate she's been waiting so long to be with. Torn between love and duty, Tess has to find a way to prioritize these complications before it’s too late. Love and duty is a delicate balancing act that if tipped too far in one direction, could send both toppling.

Tess and Kane! We love Kane, but our head still hurts from the 360 pivot in his character. No, he is not bipolar... just has a very traumatic history that Tess is too perfect to help him through.
