Just read #freefall by @KanikaGee.
Mystery, check.

Mumbai slice of life, check.

Stereotypical yet humane head Constable, check.

Promising leads to wade through, check.

Surprising twist to the identity of the killer, check.

A young and beautiful actress is dead while her supposed boyfriend is suspected of murder. This is Kanika's second book featuring math teacher Nisha as an amateur detective helping her neighbour's to solve a murder mystery. The book was littered with liberal references to our favorite fictional detectives, Poirot, Holmes and Enid Blyton's Fatty. Grab copy if you enjoy light detective reads on a breezy day.
