Starfall: Contact

Rate this book
Before dying from the atmosphere, an alien visitor gives the people of Earth schematics for starships and other blueprints for technologies only dreamed of in the present day. But these are not the gifts of a benevolent advanced race—this is only to give the invading Rhuvaddi more of a sporting challenge when they come to take over the planet. In the minds of the aliens, the outcome for humanity is already “You cannot win.”

Despite the desperate odds, renowned scientist Timothy Park and the newly formed Solar Entente struggle to unite the world against the new threat to human existence in the scant few years before the Rhuvaddi, a vicious and cold-blooded warrior race, arrive.

Contact is a hard military sci-fi novel packed with action and adventure as humans come to terms with their place in a hostile universe where they are outmatched and outgunned. If you enjoy books by Tom Clancy, Stephen Coonts, and Michael Crichton, you won't be able to put down this ripping tale of a civilization on the brink of destruction!

"Fantastic book. Military sci-fi at its finest." —Greg Ortiz, co-creator of the award-winning board game Aethersteel

Questions

There are alot of good things about this book and there are also questions that were mot answered. It is a worthwhile read but all in all I'm glad there is no (apparent) part 2. I just would have liked an answer on language.

A great story

I like this story plot. This book was a surprise. It reminds me of how a samurai soul mixed with a mongrol army. Would act if history was nice
