Jessie finds her fiancé cheating on her. She runs into the woods where she is found by Theo, nicknamed the Beast because of his past. He takes her to his home where they grow attached to one another. Her fiancé finds where she is and will do anything to get her back. Once again Jessie runs, this time to the city. Will she stop running? Will she see Theo again?

The story was interesting, but the ending was so abrupt that I was left thinking “wait, what?!?!”

Jessie runs away when she finds her fiance cheating on her. She is discovered in the woods by Theo, nicknamed the Beast because of his past. They grow attached to one another but people from their pasts work together to divide them. Jessie runs again but runs into Theo. Will they be able to work through their problems or will she run again?

I liked Jessie and Theo. They had a lot of villains in their lives. They are a cute couple. They seem made for each other but Jessie needs to get over running away to handle her problems. Theo is very understanding.

The story was good but there were so many loose ends left open at the end of the story. What happened with Patrick, Pattie, Gracie, Theo's arrest, his moving to the city? This also needs editing and proofreading.

I read this book on Readict. I am not sure if the books on this app are posted before the final publication. However, it seems to be my experience that many have some simple typographical errors that are possibly caught and fixed in the final versions. That aside, I thought it was a cute story seemingly inspired by Beauty and the Beast. I felt that the female main character could have used some more growth, and the ending was a bit rushed.
