Take one sexy screenwriter. Add a pair of identical twin directors. Garnish with a grumpy actor in the starring role…Is it a blueprint for a blockbuster movie or the recipe for an epic disaster? Dan Gunther broke Miranda’s heart the last time they worked together, so she is not happy that this time around, he’s brought his twin brother along as wingman on the project—a romantic action comedy starring actor-on-the-rise Jack Hale. Don Gunther has had to listen to his twin rave about the “woman who got away” for three years and now he sees what all the fuss is about as the movie they’re making together begins pre-production with screenwriter Miranda Kopecki taking on the role of associate producer. Jack Hale has the hots for Miranda, but every time he makes a move on her, he’s blocked by one of the Gunther twins, who seem to have a complicated history with the curvy scriptwriter. And then there's his producing partner Allison Stone, who has plans for Jack of her own. A #whychoose#reverse harem rom com short story just in time for Valentine’s Day. This short read is something a little different from USA TODAY bestselling writer Katherine Moore

Don’t want to leave a bad review, but…

I want to like this story, I like the idea of the story, but execution was very lacking. What does this mean? Well…the premise was good, but there was very little build up, and I’m being generous by describing it as very little. You get into the story, POV is always FMC, which is fine, but the understanding about how and why she ends up with any of the RH is a mystery. There are not really any well written out scenes developing chemistry between the characters. There is a vague story about a token villain (jealous ex…something, maybe?), but no real details to help push the process along. I kept waiting for some stolen hot moments between FMC and one or more of the guys, but nope, nothing really until the end, and even that was very blink and you’ll miss it.

This story felt like someone was writing an interesting story, but then ran out of time and through an ending on without any development of the character’s backstories. Those moments where backstories were mentioned could have been removed and replaced with some hot and heavy moments and it would not have had a negative impact on the story at all.
Why mention her dad and comic-con?
Do you need to tell us about the set caterers?
Why add bits of the screenplay, it did not add to the story of the FMC or RH guys?
How did they go from no physical contact to a shower scene? And I’m sorry, but that was not a shower scene that heats any parts of my body up, which is just sad.

So review round-up - would I try something else from this author? Maybe?
Are you looking for a spicy read to heat you up better than a Vegas summer? If yes, this is not the book for you.

Should have been free

This was not a romance. Short, mostly about movie set antics. Rushed love scene at the end. Not worth $2.99.
