I’ve heard it said that change is good, that it keeps life interesting.
No one ever said it could kill you.
Austin Texas is known for being weird, hell, it’s proud of it.
After being given the task of helping Austin’s pack find their missing Alpha, I’m finding out quicker than I would like, just how weird, and deadly Austin can be.
Their Alpha is missing, their witch is being a pain in the ass, humans are being killed and someone keeps trying to assassinate everyone I know before I can even unpack.
The full moon is coming, and with it, an ancient and deadly evil is rising. It’s up to me to stop it and make sure the pack I have been sent to help, doesn’t wind up in ruin…
I have my work cut out for me; I just hope I make it out alive.
I've had many jobs in my life. I bagged groceries in high school to pay for gas, fast food burgers, and yes...cigarettes and beer. I joined the Army and spent three years in Germany, learning how to stay awake during guard duty and how to be somewhat responsible. I was an electrician for a while, which gave me a good appreciation for what it feels like to get shocked. I decided, after getting zapped one too many times, to go back to school. While I was working as an electrician I had a daughter born with cerebral palsy. She is the best thing to have happened to me. I decided to stay home and take care of her after she had surgery to help her be able to walk and during that time I read a book so bad that I wanted to see if I could do better. Turns out I could, I found that I loved to write and I wasn't all that bad at it. Fast forward a few years and I have now finished five novels (one is nearing the end of the editing process) and a short story about Santa fighting zombies!
I've done a lot of things, but writing is in my soul, I hope you take the time to give my books a chance, I don't think you will be disappointed.
This was another book I picked up at a local author event! The author was super kind and eagerly described his books to me. I picked up this one and “redemption “, for my husband to read. I really enjoyed this. It’s a super quick read and the main characters humor kept me invested. I wish there was a little more depth but overall it was good and I enjoyed seeing how it all played out!
Love his books! They're always entertaining and unpredictable.
If you like a good shifter, Sci Fi book that includes all the fun and excitement you normally find in this type of book, but also enjoy new twists on old themes, and having the focus be on the SciFi fantasy portion, rather than the romance, this book fits the bill. There is romance in it, but it isn't the main focus, and I love that about this story. The story follows the basics of modt shifter - sci-fi books, but includes plot twists that you don't see coming, and the characters are intelligent and well flushed out. I intend to find more of Marcus Abshires books to read.
First book I've read by Marcus Abshire, well written with solid characters and minimal romance. An orphaned were coyote has been raised and trained by the Alpha of Chicago. He is sent to help a pack in Austin, whose Alpha has disappeared and humans are dying, presumably by animal attack. He must fit in with the pack and figure out what happened and how to deal with it. I enjoyed the book and will read another by this author
Fun read with lots of action. Good versus evil and may the best win. Daniel is sent to a pack whose alpha is missing. A pack that is corrupted by dark fae magic and won't survive without him teaching the members how to fight for their lives and come out stronger and whole. This includes a bitchy witch, some kill-happy vampires and deadly fae. What is not to love about that. Looking forward to book 2. Has a lot of potential to become a series.
Abshire is at his best. It has been a long time since I had to make myself stop reading so I could go to bed. I hope this isn't the only time we get to spend with The Pack!
Liked the way the author showed a new view on different uses of magic. How following ones head and heart can lead to good and new challenges. Disliked the story ending. Gave it a five star rating, good story.
4! Very good! Action packed, found family, vampires, shifters, witches, fae, never a slow moment. Read this in one sitting and would highly recommend it! ❤️🔥
